Chapter 11: Getting the Marriage Certificate

“What do you intend to do?” Su Junyu realized that this girl from the Mu family was not one to sit idly by.

He hoped she wouldn't cause him trouble next.

He certainly didn't have the time to clean up her messes.

Looking at his impatient gaze, Mu Yu naturally knew she had brought him trouble.

“I don't know.” She truly didn't know what to do right now, but she knew one thing: she would definitely save Grandpa and Xiaojie.

Fearing she might act recklessly, Su Junyu could only speak up to remind her again, “Act carefully. As of now, you have nothing to do with the Mu family anymore, do you understand?”

Having gone through all this, what was there left for her not to understand? “I understand. Don't worry, I won't cause you trouble, and if anything happens, I'll make sure to distance myself from you.” She spoke seriously, but she failed to notice a trace of relief appearing in Su Junyu's eyes when she said those words.

Su Junyu had no objection. After bringing her to the car, he drove toward the hospital.

“Grandma.” Mu Yu walked to her grandmother's side, calling out softly, then took her hand. “Don't worry, I will definitely save Grandpa and Xiaojie.”

Even though it was a lie to comfort her grandmother, she was very grateful to him.

“Yes, Grandma, look, he and I have already obtained our marriage certificate.” At this point, she broke free from his grip and hurriedly pulled the freshly issued marriage certificate from his pocket, presenting it to her grandmother.

“Look, Grandma.”

Looking at the stamped document, Su Junyu felt a strange sensation in his heart.

After soothing her grandmother for a long time and finally coaxing the old lady back to sleep, Mu Yu finally relaxed.

Su Junyu handed her a cup of warm water. “Drink some water. You talked a lot just now.”

Mu Yu choked slightly, but she took the cup and drank it all in one go.

“Thank you.”

He knew what she was thanking him for. “You're welcome.” He took the cup back from her and placed it on the small side table. “What are your plans next?”

“I don't have any specific plans, but I want to live in the city,” she insisted repeatedly.

Su Junyu understood her meaning. “Alright, I'll find a house for you. However, due to my work, I might not be able to stay in the city for long. How long do you intend to stay here?”

If possible, he wanted to take her back to the production brigade.

It wasn't far from Haishi, just a village below the city, about a three or four-hour trip away.

Thinking about her next steps, Mu Yu pondered for a moment before saying, “About three months. I expect the situation with Grandpa will be settled in three months.”

Grandpa might die in the midst of this matter; if she wanted to protect him, she would naturally have to put in some effort.

Then there was Xiaojie, whom she would also have to work to save, not to mention the original owner's parents and elder brother.
