Chapter 11

However, the gift Rosalind gave to Lynn was not limited to this.

In addition to this Heart of Flower Language, she also handed Lynn a seed.

To be precise, this was not a mere gift, but a crucial link in her research system.

As her student, to learn and inherit her research, one must possess a Life Seed.

Rosalind held the flower tray in her hands up to Lynn and said gently

"Wizards' research directions vary greatly, and thus they are divided into many categories. For example, wizards who study fire, ice, water, lightning, and so on are usually called Elemental Wizards; those who delve into bloodline power are Bloodline Wizards; and those who manipulate magical puppets or summon creatures are known as Summoning Wizards."

"As for my research direction, it is closely related to nature, so we are classified as Nature Wizards."

She paused, her gaze falling on Lynn, her tone becoming serious

"However, before you officially begin, you must possess a Life Seed. This seed is not only the core of my research, but it will also be inextricably linked to your entire life. Therefore, choose carefully!"

Lynn nodded, a sense of solemnity growing in his heart.

"Come here, and use your mental power to sense these seeds."

Rosalind gently swayed the flower tray in her hands, and a soft light flickered within it.

Her voice was soft, carrying a soothing power like the fragrance of flowers

"These seeds will actively show you their types and functions. Their choice concerns your future path as a wizard."

"Remember the feelings generated during your contact with each seed, and then make the choice that suits you best!"

Lynn took a deep breath and stepped forward.

As the distance shortened, the fragrance of flowers in the air became more intense, as if it could seep into one's soul.

He closed his eyes, his mind gradually immersing itself, extending his mental power toward the Life Seeds lying quietly in the flower tray.

Soon, his consciousness established a faint connection with one of the seeds.

"Helomba Tree..." Lynn silently recited the name of the seed, feeling the energy surging within it, but frowned in confusion, "Never heard of it... the aura leans toward darkness and death..."

His mental power continued to probe toward the next seed.

"White Ring, equally unfamiliar, but the aura carries a warm breath of life, seemingly possessing healing abilities..."

As his mental power extended, Lynn gradually resonated with the seeds in the flower tray.

These seeds showed him their characteristics one after another; some were full of destruction and gloom, while others radiated the warmth of life or mysterious auras.

Lynn's mind wandered among these seeds, feeling the different attributes of each.

Under normal circumstances, in Rosalind's flower tray, resonating with even a few out of hundreds of Life Seeds would already be a rare manifestation of talent.

The most outstanding student she had ever seen had only triggered thirty-some seeds.

It was the first time in her life she had encountered someone like Lynn, who had triggered almost every Life Seed in the tray.

Precisely because of this, Rosalind did not urge Lynn; she just stood quietly to the side, watching him.

The hundreds of seeds in the tray each had their own characteristics and uses; some were filled with destructive power, some contained the rhythm of life, and others shone with the brilliance of nature.

With so many seeds coming into view, even Lynn felt dazzled.

Moreover, he discovered that every seed reacted to him in exactly the same way; there was no such thing as the hierarchy Rosalind had mentioned.

Since every seed was the same, Lynn simply made his choice based on his current needs.

He remembered that before the assessment, his "cheap teacher" had mentioned a sentence

"Students who study under me usually don't have much combat power; in fact, one could say their combat power is quite poor."

At the time, Lynn had dismissed this statement, but now, in the process of facing these seeds, he seemed to understand its meaning.

It was likely because these seeds determined that the combat ability of Rosalind's students was limited.

Lynn knew clearly that his biggest goal right now was not powerful attack strength, but survival.

His enemies were hidden in the darkness, and his talent, "Heaven Rewards Diligence," destined that as long as he could survive the current difficulties, he would surely achieve a great path as a wizard in the future.

Therefore, his goal for selection was very clear

Defense, life, protection—as long as it could save his life, it was the best choice.

When Lynn's mental power contacted these seeds one by one, he finally filtered out the two seeds that best met his needs

"Longhui Pine," the seed radiated a faint light, as if whispering its characteristics

"Unyielding will, the power to protect life..."

"Ivfgrid," the aura of the other seed was purer, filled with the natural charm of life

"I bring life and hope, protecting the sky, the earth, and nature..."

Both seeds undoubtedly met Lynn's expectations.

"Choosing one out of two..." Lynn whispered to himself, his mental power hovering between the two seeds.

However, with his current knowledge and experience, it was difficult to see the true pros and cons between these two seeds.

In the end, his gaze rested on Ivfgrid; his intuition told him that the aura of this seed was more compatible with him.

"Then I'll choose Ivfgrid!"

Lynn made up his mind and carefully wrapped his mental power around the seed.

Immediately, he opened his eyes and looked at the beautiful teacher close at hand, his tone filled with a hint of anticipation.

"Teacher, I choose this one."

Rosalind's beautiful eyes followed the direction Lynn pointed, landing on that seed, and she nodded slightly, her red lips parting

"Ivfgrid..."

"Next, use your mental power to guide it and inject your information into the seed; it will respond."

Lynn nodded without hesitation, his mental power touching Ivfgrid once again.

This time, unlike the mere sensing from before, he needed to actively inject his own mental information.

At first, he could remain calm, but soon he felt the heaviness of the seed.

The surface of the seed seemed to be wrapped in an incredibly tough barrier; his mental power was blocked outside, finding it difficult to penetrate.

He gritted his teeth and continued to try, fine beads of sweat even seeping out on his forehead, and his face gradually turning pale.

He could feel the rapid consumption of his mental power; that sense of depletion made his consciousness gradually weary, but he did not back down.

Finally, after an unknown amount of effort, his mental power pierced through the barrier and was completely injected into the interior of the seed.

At this very moment, the disc in Rosalind's hand vibrated gently, and Ivfgrid slowly floated up.

A hazy green light emanated from the seed, the light flowing like a stream, enveloping Lynn within it.

Then, the green light flashed suddenly, and the seed turned into a cyan glow, flying straight toward the center of Lynn's brow.

Lynn only felt a slight warmth at the center of his brow, and then the light merged into his body like flowing water, becoming completely compatible with him.

At the same time, a cyan mark appeared on his forehead, shaped like a leaf.

The mark flashed and disappeared without a trace, but the strange sensation of that moment made Lynn's heart tremble.

"This is..." Lynn was slightly surprised and couldn't help but whisper.

"Ivfgrid has already established a connection with you," Rosalind said gently.

Lynn was shocked to find that in his mental realm, a slightly cyan-glowing, somewhat shriveled seed was floating quietly—it was exactly the Ivfgrid he had just chosen.
