Led by the local heavyweight Shi Suo, they casually questioned a few street thugs along the way, and one of them proactively led Shi Suo's group of five directly to Bao Zhijun's house.
He had no choice but to be proactive; Shi Suo had made it clear that if he didn't lead the way, he'd find some excuse to have him locked up tomorrow. The thug was scared shitless.
It had to be admitted that in the South City area, Shi Suo was truly influential.
Bao Zhijun's courtyard was very small, roughly half a mu in size. A courtyard of this size was quite rare in the county seat. There were only three earthen houses in the yard, without even any side rooms, so it was evident that Bao Zhijun's family was not wealthy.
The wattle fence gate was wide open. Without even shouting a few times to announce their presence, Wang An's group of five walked straight into the yard.
Before they even reached the door, they could hear a cacophony of noise coming from inside.
Clearly, not only was Bao Zhijun home, but his band of fair-weather friends were all there as well.
Upon reaching the door, Wang An delivered a kick straight into the grayish door panel. With a loud "bang," one of the two wooden doors was kicked clean off.
Yes, one of the doors was kicked off.
Mainly, it was unknown what that dilapidated wooden door had been through, but it was simply too flimsy.
Furthermore, the broken door panel was kicked quite a distance, seemingly hitting a washbasin, producing another series of clattering noises.
The reason for using the word "seemingly" was that these earthen houses had no back windows, and the front wooden door had no glass. Normally, when the door was closed, lighting relied solely on a small ventilation window at the top of the panel, so the light in the outer room was actually very dim.
Consequently, it was impossible to see exactly what the flying door panel had hit.
However, those two loud bangs caused the noisy chatter inside the room to suddenly fall silent—one could even describe it as deathly quiet.
But after only a few seconds of silence, someone inside whispered
"Brother Bao, what was that sound?"
"Yeah, what's going on? Did someone else come?"
Another person said
"I don't know either. Aren't we all here? Could it be some drunk coming to cause trouble?"
Just as this person finished speaking, a cursing voice erupted from the inner room
"Fuck your mother, who is it? Don't you know how to be a bit gentler, fuck!"
Another person followed suit with a curse
"You want to fucking die? Fuck your mother, you scared the shit out of—"
Before this person could finish cursing, Wang An had already reached the door of the east room and raised his big foot to kick it.
The door of Bao Zhijun's east room was made of spliced wooden boards on the bottom half, while the top half consisted of an old, crooked window frame covered with window paper. The entire door looked incredibly ancient.
Thus, with this one kick from Wang An, the entire door practically exploded, and the wooden boards flew apart in all directions.
Simultaneously, a scream echoed from inside the room. Unsurprisingly, a wooden board must have flown out and hit some unlucky bastard.
With the door gone, Wang An ducked his head and walked into the room. Shi Suo, Wang Yi, and Yu Qingguo followed behind him into the east room. As for Yang Jinsong, he automatically guarded the window of the east room, likely fearing the group might try to escape through it.
Indeed, the east room of Bao Zhijun's house was quite lively, with a total of six people playing poker on the kang.
Wang An looked around, his eyes wide as he asked
"Which one of you fuckers is Bao Wo-Ji?"
Hearing this, Wang Yi hurriedly tugged at Wang An's sleeve and whispered a reminder
"Not Bao Wo-Ji, it's Bao Zhijun. The one leaning against the windowsill is him."
Wang An said somewhat impatiently
"Ugh, I know."
Turning around, Wang An pointed at Bao Zhijun and shouted
"Fuck your mother, so you're Bao Zhijun? Come on, get the fuck down here."
As he spoke, Wang An grabbed the clothes of the kid sitting on the edge of the kang and gave a powerful yank, throwing him to the ground.
Because Wang An's speed was so fast, the kid was still in a cross-legged sitting position when he hit the floor. With a dull "thud," the kid indeed landed right on his ass.
Of course, Wang An didn't care about that. He stepped his left foot onto the edge of the kang and lunged toward Bao Zhijun.
Although Bao Zhijun was just a small-time thug, he had plenty of experience in street fighting. Seeing Wang An lunging at him, the kid threw a small stack of poker cards directly into Wang An's face, shouting
"Go to hell! Who the fuck do you think you are?"
As he spoke, the kid swung a fist toward Wang An.
In truth, the moment Wang Yi entered the room, Bao Zhijun knew that Wang Yi had brought people to retaliate.
However, as a thug, being attacked inside his own home meant that resisting was absolutely mandatory.
Seeing Bao Zhijun make a move, his fair-weather friends naturally jumped in to help. Even with Shi Suo standing there in his green uniform, Bao Zhijun and the others completely ignored him.
The reason they were so bold was, on one hand, that they were young and fearless toward everyone.
On the other hand, they spent all their time idling in school and had rarely dealt with the "well-tea" (police), so they had no idea what the consequences of opposing the police were.
From this, one could see just how ignorant this bunch of thugs was.
Wang An didn't care at all that several thugs were attacking him at once. He took them down one by one, tossing them off the kang like little chicks.
It must be said that these things were all skin and bones; they were truly light, weighing at most a hundred and ten or twenty jin.
Since they were thrown off, their landing positions were awkward, and each of them was beaten quite badly by the fall.
Finally, only Bao Zhijun remained. Wang An used a direct "empty-hand blade-seize" move—not even needing a second move—and then, like grabbing a chick or a duck, he gripped the back of the boy's neck firmly with his left hand and pinned him to the kang. Immediately after, his big foot took flight, delivering a barrage of explosive kicks to the kid.
It must be said that the feeling was one of absolute brutality.
The only pity was that Wang An had been wearing cloth shoes lately, and cloth shoes weren't as satisfying for kicking people as military boots.
Wang An was explosively kicking Bao Zhijun on the kang, while Wang Yi, Shi Suo, and Yang Jinsong were explosively kicking the other five thugs on the floor. The entire scene was one of total chaos.
After kicking for a full two minutes, the four of them finally stopped.
Wang An turned around and found that Yu Qingguo had entered the room at some point and was now taking over for Shi Suo and the others, kicking the thugs one by one.
