Watching Hua Ling stride away, Jin Junchi smiled and said to Mu Yelei, "So that is Xia Ziying. But I recall being told that Xia Ziying was honest and dull? Looking at her today, that doesn't seem to be the case at all. Yelei, you didn't lie to me, did you?"

"Yeah, she looks like a shrew to me, nothing like what you described. You didn't lie to us just because you were afraid of losing face, did you?" Jin Junxi joked, though he still expected Mu Yelei to explain what they had witnessed today.

Mu Yelei looked at the two men before him with a headache. One was an Emperor and the other a Prince; although they were his superiors, their friendship dated back to childhood—they were true childhood friends. Mu Yelei sighed, knowing they wouldn't let him off the hook unless he explained clearly. But the problem was, he really didn't know either!

"I'm telling you, I really don't know what's going on. Before this, my impression of her was that of a rigid and honest woman. In the year or so since we married, I haven't seen her more than five times. How would I know why she suddenly seems like a completely different person? I'm just as baffled as you are." Mu Yelei frowned tightly, unable to make sense of it.

Everyone knew that the famous handsome Prince Qing, Jin Junxi, remained unmarried because there wasn't a single woman he deemed worthy. He had even declared that he would rather remain single than settle for less; if he didn't feel a spark, he would stay single for life.

The remark left Jin Junxi speechless. Beside them, Jin Junchi burst into laughter. He had never been able to do anything about his younger brother's refusal to marry, and today, Yelei had finally vented some frustration on his behalf.

"He may not have the right, but I certainly do. Look at my three thousand beauties in the harem; everything is fine, perfectly peaceful. So, you should be a bit gentler with her and stop wearing that iceberg face all day," Jin Junchi said with a smile. He was quite proud of this; he had his ways with women.
