Transmigrating Through the Interstellar: My Wife's Glory and My Honor

Chapter 20: Giving It Away

Luo Feifan felt uncomfortable under his gaze, but he continued, "You should know that this Fourth-Grade Red Jade Stone is vital for Xiao Yan to become a contracted disciple. Even if not for Xiao Yan, you should hand it over for the sake of our Luo family alone."

Luo Feifan began to persuade her earnestly, hoping Luo Bi would understand Luo Yan's importance to the clan.

Luo Bi remained unmoved. Luo Yan had already moved to snatch her fiancé before she had even done anything; if she actually passed the disciple assessment, things would be even worse.

Luo Feifan felt a surge of anger; this child was far too disobedient. Suppressing his temper, he said, "Where is the Red Jade Stone? Bring it out for your grandfather to see."

Who was he trying to fool? Once she brought it out, she wouldn't be able to keep it. Luo Bi found it laughable; the old man was actually using such low-level tactics on her. She had played these games in her past life; they weren't even worth her notice. She said disdainfully, "See what? It's just a piece of broken stone."

Listening to such impious words, Luo Feifan nearly lost his composure. The muscles in his face twitched, but he ultimately did not explode, instead threatening in a low voice, "You child, what kind of temper is this? Listen to your grandfather and bring it out, quickly."

*After wasting so much breath, he finally showed his true colors,* Luo Bi thought, narrowing her eyes. Dammit, they were both biological granddaughters, yet the differential treatment was so vast; he was even worse than her grandfather from her previous life.

He wanted the Red Jade Stone in her hands, did he? Well, she simply wouldn't give it to him. This was the temperament Luo Bi had held in both her past and present lives.

She remembered in her past life, when her mother took her to her maternal grandmother's house, her grandmother gave her two pieces of high-grade candy. She hadn't been willing to eat them and had tucked them away. When she returned home to play with the little girl next door, her mother, wanting to appear generous, tried to make her give the candy to the girl. When she refused, her mother moved from soft persuasion to hard pressure, intending to forcibly take one from her.

Luo Bi had only been a few years old then; how could a three or four-year-old girl possibly win against her mother? In her desperation and anger, she threw the candy on the ground, stepped on it, and deliberately crushed it.

That way, no one could eat it. The little girl burst into tears immediately, but Luo Bi felt satisfied—if she couldn't have it, it wasn't fair for anyone else to have it either.

Luo Bi knew her own temperament well; she had no intention of wronging herself to fulfill Luo Yan.

Thus, Luo Bi gave a malicious smile and took the Red Jade Stone out of her storage bracelet. Before Luo Feifan could even clearly see the flash of red, Luo Bi had already stuffed the stone into Feng Ling's hand. "Isn't it just a piece of broken stone? I don't want it anymore. I'm giving it to you." She had finally thrown it away. Although it hurt a little to lose it, if she couldn't keep it, she'd let someone else deal with the headache!

Feng Ling froze on the spot, the entire room was stunned, and Luo Feifan was utterly dumbfounded. If this child were going to throw something away in a fit of temper, she should have thrown it to him; why did she shove it into Feng Ling's hand? The target was wrong!

"Luo Bi, what are you doing?" When Luo Feifan saw the Red Jade Stone in Feng Ling's hand, his eyes gleamed with greed, and his mind began calculating incessantly.

"Nothing. I don't want it anymore, to avoid people constantly eyeing it." Luo Bi looked annoyed, then turned her gaze to Feng Ling and said, "I'm done with it, so do whatever you want with it." Even if Feng Ling handed it back to the Luo family, she would accept it.

*This woman...* Feng Ling didn't even know what to say.

Luo Yan stomped her feet. If the item were in Luo Bi's hands, she could still snatch it, but if it reached Feng Ling, things would be difficult. Pursing her lips, Luo Yan walked over and softly demanded from Feng Ling, "The Red Jade Stone belongs to my family. Please return it to me."

Feng Ling shot her a half-smile, a look that seemed to treat her like an idiot. Ignoring Luo Yan's wide-eyed stare, he casually tucked the eye-catching Red Jade Stone into his storage ring.
