Transmigrating Through the Interstellar: My Wife's Glory and My Honor

Chapter 48: Requesting Jadeite

While Luo Bi was watching, Feng Ling went out for a while. When he returned, he was carrying a sealed cardboard box containing a brand-new, small domestic robot.

Luo Bi's eyes lit up, and she walked over to take a look.

"It was delivered to us from above. Give it a name," Feng Ling said as he was inputting programs into the domestic robot.

The small robot had a very exquisite appearance, with blinking red eyes that were incredibly cute and pleasing. Luo Bi thought for a long time before finally saying, "Let's call it Dangdang."

Feng Ling entered the name directly and then issued a command: "Dangdang, clean up the house."

"Yes, Master." The domestic robot seemed to love its name and cheerfully entered its working state.

Now that they had a house, Feng Ling suggested they move in today. After thinking it over, Luo Bi did not refuse.

Feng Ling accompanied Luo Bi home to pack her luggage, and while there, he informed Guan Zhuting about their marriage registration. Guan Zhuting was a bit stunned after hearing the news; it was all too sudden. However, she quickly realized that this was for the best. Now that Luo Bi was a military family member, those with ulterior motives would have to drop their schemes.

Luo Bi did not take many things. Aside from her clothes, she put her medicinal tripod and spiritual plants into her storage bracelet.

Before leaving, Luo Bi reminded Guan Zhuting, "Contact me via communicator if anything happens."

"Don't worry, I know," Guan Zhuting said, waving her off to signal her departure.

By the time the two returned to their new home at the military base, Dangdang had already removed all the dust protection film. The house was cleaned until it was bright, sparkling, and fresh. Luo Bi didn't have much, but Feng Ling's belongings were different. After a bit of tidying up, they both moved into the large apartment.

In the middle of their unpacking, Feng Ling received a communication. His combat team needed him, so he said his goodbyes and left.

Luo Bi was tired; she slumped onto the sofa, feeling completely drained. She suddenly remembered Feng Ling saying that she had "delivered herself to his door." Although it was true, as Feng Ling had said, she had indeed presented herself to him, hearing him say it out loud still made her feel quite annoyed.

*A freebie isn't worth much!* Luo Bi chuckled to herself. Lacking the energy for anything else, she went to bed.

Luo Bi slept very deeply, losing all sense of time in a kaleidoscope of colorful dreams. She was startled awake by the sound of the door opening. Lifting her head, she saw that Feng Ling had entered.

"I fell asleep," Luo Bi explained.

Feng Ling gave an "Mm" in response. "Come eat." He had brought the food back from the base cafeteria.

Luo Bi got out of bed and followed Feng Ling to the large balcony, where the kitchen, dining area, and washroom were all located. The hall-style space was surrounded by various plants and vines, making the air fresh and the layout pleasing to the eye—a beautiful environment that humans of the 21st century could never have imagined.

Since Feng Ling treated Luo Bi as his wife, he naturally did not mistreat her. Dinner consisted of highly nutritious food, including fish and meat; it was the best meal Luo Bi had eaten since arriving in this world.

There was no other reason; Luo Bi's family couldn't afford such things, as nutritious ingredients were not something everyone could afford. Fortunately, her family's farmland could still produce several hundred pounds of rice; otherwise, she might not even know what the nutritional ingredients of the interstellar era tasted like.

Luo Bi had no appetite today and wanted to stop eating after only a few bites.

"Eating so little?" Feng Ling frowned imperceptibly. He knew the circumstances of Luo Bi's family. Women were delicate; perhaps eating ordinary ingredients for so many years had damaged her stomach!

Luo Bi leaned lazily against the sofa. "I haven't had an appetite these past few days."

Feng Ling looked thoughtful. Once he finished eating, he stood up to tidy the meal containers.

After washing his hands, Feng Ling returned, placed a glass of water in front of Luo Bi, sat down, and said, "I have applied to the military for three pieces of Grade 3 or higher Bifei stones. I plan to take you to the Imperial Star to participate in the Apprentice Assessment. It just so happens that Leng Lie is returning to the Imperial Star the day after tomorrow; let's take his airship there."
