Chapter 6: Beating the Scum

Jiang Ning’s attack was sudden.

Not only did the Huo family fail to react, but even Huo Kaian didn't have time to react before he was brutally beaten by Jiang Ning.

Realizing he was being beaten, Huo Kaian angrily tried to strike back, a curse word popping out of his mouth: "Fuck! Don't think I won't hit you just because you're a woman!"

Jiang Ning's expression remained unchanged. She delivered a slap to each side of his thick-skinned face.

The hand that had been gripping his collar did not let go; instead, she gave it a violent yank, choking Huo Kaian and forcing his body to lurch forward.

Huo Kaian couldn't even manage to curse; he was rolling his eyes from the constriction of his collar.

He instinctively reached up to grab his collar, only to find it wouldn't budge.

His attempts at resistance were negligible in Jiang Ning's eyes.

Seeing this, Huo Kaiping, who was supporting Huo Miao, could no longer restrain himself and cursed angrily, "Jiang Ning, you're fucking crazy!"

Immediately, he let go of Huo Miao, raised his fist, and stepped forward to strike her.

Mrs. Huo finally snapped out of it and wailed, "Ahhh! Jiang Ning! What are you doing! Let go of your brother right now!!!"

If looks could kill, Jiang Ning would have died countless times under Mrs. Huo's razor-sharp gaze.

Jiang Ning remained silent, but her movements were incredibly efficient. As Huo Kaiping approached, instead of letting go of Huo Kaian's collar, she twisted it, tightening the grip around his neck even further.

The maneuver nearly suffocated Huo Kaian, leaving his mind a complete blank.

Then, Jiang Ning released her grip and delivered a heavy kick to Huo Kaian's waist, sending him crashing to the ground on his hands and knees.

Seeing that Jiang Ning had not only actually fought back but had also beaten Huo Kaian so miserably, Huo Kaiping was so enraged that he didn't even spare a glance at his brother on the ground; he swung his fist directly at Jiang Ning.

But Jiang Ning was no pushover.

She had long been fed up with these twin jerks who constantly told her to get out of the Huo family!

Jiang Ning dodged Huo Kaiping's punch and reached out to firmly grasp his wrist.

Although Huo Kaiping was younger than Jiang Ning and still in high school, as a nearly grown teenager, he was strong and built, standing more than half a head taller than her.

His bones were thick and his skin was dark and tanned; in contrast, Jiang Ning's slender, fair fingers looked incredibly fragile.

Huo Kaiping had never taken Jiang Ning seriously to begin with.

In his view, Huo Kaian had simply been too much of a gentleman by not hitting a woman and had shown Jiang Ning too much mercy, which was why he ended up in that state.

He was different!

If he didn't beat Jiang Ning into submission today, his surname wouldn't be Huo!

Huo Kaiping tried to pull his arm away, only to find...

It wouldn't budge?

Jiang Ning's slender, fair hand felt like a vice clamped onto his wrist, holding him firmly in place. He couldn't pull away.

"How is this possible!"

Huo Kaiping's eyes widened in disbelief.

As he jerked his arm back with force, Jiang Ning gave a cold smile, looking at him as if he were nothing more than a clown.

Jiang Ning applied a slight pressure with the fingers gripping his wrist, and a piercing pain instantly shot through it.

Frowning in pain, Huo Kaiping immediately swung his other hand toward Jiang Ning.

Jiang Ning dodged the blow and swung her water bottle heavily against Huo Kaiping's forehead.

There was a loud "thud" the moment the bottle struck his forehead!

The area instantly swelled and turned red. Huo Kaiping's face darkened as a curse word escaped his lips.

"Are you cursing at me?"

Jiang Ning suddenly released her grip on his wrist and raised her hands, delivering two sharp slaps to his face.
