Speaking of which, instead of being afraid, Jiang Ning rolled up her sleeves. Her fair, beautiful face showed a hint of eagerness as she beckoned provocatively to Huo Kaiping and Huo Kaian: "Come on, come on. Don't bother with one-on-one fights; why don't you two just come at me together?"

Not to mention, the director's original choice for the drama *Palace of Fu Hua* hadn't actually been Huo Miao, but Jiang Ning.

However, Jiang Ning had no intention of entering the entertainment industry. Huo Miao somehow found out about this and, in front of the Huo family, wept and wailed about how much she loved the drama. She even went on a diet to lose weight to better fit the female lead's persona, eventually fainting and ending up in the hospital!

Later, the Huo family invested thirty million to allow Huo Miao to join the production with capital.

Under the halo of "money power," the director never contacted Jiang Ning again.

Thinking about these things now, Jiang Ning felt like slapping herself to knock all the "water" that had entered her brain previously out!

The Huo family had never treated her as one of their own; their hearts and eyes were only for Huo Miao.

Yet, her former self had been blind to this, treating the Huo family with total sincerity, hoping that one day she could truly integrate into this big family.

But in reality, if you aren't of the same kind, no amount of taking shortcuts will work.

She didn't need to fall into the same pit twice.

Now, Huo Miao was deliberately bringing up the success of *Palace of Fu Hua*. On the surface, she was apologizing to Jiang Ning and telling her not to be angry, but in reality, she was reopening old wounds, intentionally stabbing Jiang Ning's heart to provoke her.

In the past, Jiang Ning could tolerate Huo Miao's "green tea" behavior, but now, she couldn't stand it for a second.

Jiang Ning glanced at her: "The Huo family doesn't live by Lake Dongting, so how did you end up being such a 'Biluochun'?" (Note: A pun on the tea name and a slang term for a manipulative person).

Huo Miao froze. After realizing the implication of Jiang Ning's words, she bit her lip, her face showing embarrassment: "Sister, why are you scolding me?"

The twin brothers standing behind her also looked indignant, appearing ready to stand up for Huo Miao at any moment.

"If you don't take the bait, why would you think I'm scolding you? Every word you say tells me not to be angry, yet every sentence is designed to make me angry. Don't tell me you didn't know that I was the one the director of *Palace of Fu Hua* originally contacted? Before I even replied to him, you rushed to pretend to faint and went to the hospital."

"I didn't!" Huo Miao panicked, not knowing how Jiang Ning knew about her faking the faint. She immediately retorted, her voice so sharp it nearly cracked.

Her body swayed weakly, as if she were about to collapse at any moment.

The two twins behind her immediately supported her, their faces full of worry: "Sister Miao, are you okay?"

Huo Miao bit her lip, her eyes flickering as she feigned composure: "I... I'm fine... But Sister, how can you say such things to me... I really went to the hospital because I fainted."

"Enough!" Huo Kaian suddenly snapped. He looked up, his sharp, disgusted gaze landing on Jiang Ning, and shouted angrily: "What exactly do you want! So what if you heard what we were saying just now!"

"Just say it! How much money do we have to give you before you're willing to leave this house!"

Huo Kaian was young and lacked composure, so he directly blurted out everything they had just been saying.

Of course, this also showed that he truly loathed Jiang Ning and desperately wanted her to leave the family.

The members of the Huo family had varying expressions, but none of them stopped him.
