The Empire Starts from the Fourth Calamity
Chapter 51: Darkness and Chaos
50. Total Chaos
The attacking Bosa people were incredibly fierce and well-trained. Each of them carried a Type 21 assault rifle, and using the powerful suppressive fire of their fully automatic weapons, they unleashed a barrage that pinned the Nikto guards down, leaving them unable to even lift their heads.
The Bosa leader had a prominent scar on his face. Upon entering the spaceport, he raised his weapon and unleashed a burst of fire, turning a guard who had just raised a blaster machine gun into a sieve. He then tossed two grenades, which exploded accurately inside two buildings where guards were hiding.
Soon, the spaceport guards were either annihilated or suppressed so heavily they dared not rise, eventually being picked off one by one by the Bosa forces charging in from both flanks.
Seeing that the resistance had collapsed, the scarred man waved his hand and shouted loudly, "Move it! Move everything valuable! Fast!!"
The Bosa men immediately poured in, shredding the warehouse doors with a burst of gunfire before beginning to haul the cargo. Two of their comrades had died in this skirmish, and their bodies were tossed onto a hover truck by their companions to be taken away.
A Nikto mercenary, with a large hole torn in his abdomen by a bullet, struggled to lift his hand and said with all his remaining strength, "You... have no death wish! This is... the spaceport of... Lord Jabba... of the Hutts!"
"I know that very well," the scarred man sneered. He walked straight to a hidden elevator entrance and, after pressing it twice, the doors slid open.
The mercenary's eyes widened. "You... you're here for Jabba!"
"Spot on. And your reward is—a grenade." The scarred man pulled the pin on a grenade and shoved it directly into the wound in the mercenary's abdomen.
"No one... dares to provoke the Hutts... in Hutt Space {Note 1}... except... the Hutts themselves..." The mercenary finally drew his last breath.
As the grenade exploded, the scarred man and several accomplices had already taken the elevator to the underground level. From the other end of the underground passage, alarms and the sound of approaching guards could be heard. The scarred man moved quickly to close three blast doors, then turned back and said, "Hurry up! The good stuff is in here!"
"You got it!" one of the accomplices replied, beginning to haul goods out.
At that moment, the scarred man's gaze suddenly fell upon two cylindrical crates, each over three meters long. A cruel smile played at the corners of his mouth. "Take these as well. They should be enough to settle the debt."
...
In an inn within Mos Eisley, Vunt was in a room indulging in a spree of debauchery and gluttony with two Twi'lek women.
Seductive lingerie, food, and empty liquor bottles were strewn all over the room. The air was thick with the smell of alcohol, perfume, and various other indescribable scents.
Taya, a Twi'lek woman Vunt had previously seduced, had brought her sister Suya along, and the three had been drinking all night. Of course, besides drinking, many other things occurred that need not be detailed.
Taya naturally held Vunt tightly, but Suya was not to be outdone; the two sisters actually began to vie for his affection.
Seeing that the mood was right, Vunt asked through his drunken haze, "Hey, Suya. Didn't you used to follow a navigator?"
"Don't mention that guy; he's as stupid as a Bansha," Suya said, shaking a liquor bottle. "Things were only good for the first few months after I followed him. Later, I found out he had made a big deal with Boss Kooken during that time. After that, even Kooken's luck ran out, and he became even more strapped for cash. Tsk, so boring."
"What's wrong? Is their Hammerhead-class cruiser no good?"
"Good? It's a piece of junk from thousands of years ago; no matter how much you refurbish it, it's still trash. When they encounter prey, they can't even catch up, and they have to be careful not to run into the Republic Judicial Forces, otherwise they can't even escape. What's the point of doing that!" Suya took a large gulp from the bottle. "You're much better, darling. You can earn 100,000 credits in a single trip! That's the price of a whole spaceship..."
Vunt pulled Suya into his arms and whispered softly in her ear, "Do you know why I make money so easily? I know a big boss from Muunilinst."
Suya gasped, then let out a flirtatious laugh. "No wonder you're so capable, darling! So you have connections with the Muuns! Could that big boss be... the InterGalactic Banking Clan..."
She covered her mouth halfway through, not daring to finish, because the intimidation factor of that name was simply too great.
"That's right. This big boss is currently doing a deal involving spaceships; he's planning to invest in opening a space shipyard. However, because he lacks sufficient data, he wants to find the parameters of a large starship for comparison. You see, where can one find a large starship on such short notice... He offered me a high price of 50,000 credits for this," Vunt said, feigning difficulty.
Suya's eyes lit up, and she said hurriedly, "I can do it! Darling, I'll go find that stupid navigator right now and have him get the parameters for Kooken's ship. Kooken's ship is a cruiser! That should definitely work, right?"
Vunt shook his head. "No, that Hammerhead-class cruiser is too old. The Muun definitely won't be interested in those parameters." As he spoke, he feigned drunkenness and slumped onto the bed. "It's so hard... 50,000 credits just flying away..."
Suya immediately shot a look at Taya. Understanding her intent, the two sisters pressed in from both sides to surround Vunt, enveloping him in warmth and softness, constantly acting coquettishly.
"It's possible, darling... Aren't you friends with that Muun? Just mention it to him..."
"Exactly! Kooken's ship has undergone modern upgrades; the parameters will definitely be usable. Please, darling... let us earn this money, okay?"
Vunt caressed the delicate bodies in his arms affectionately. "But that ship doesn't belong to you. Talking like this is useless."
"Who says so? I haven't let that idiot touch me for two months. Now, if I just wiggle my fingers, I could make him crawl over and lick my shoes. Besides, that ship is usually Kooken's casino and bar; people are constantly coming and going. I can slip in whenever I want," Suya volunteered.
Vunt smiled slightly and whispered, "Then can you take me up there? I'd like to go and take a look at that cruiser too!"
"Of course, darling." Taya and Suya both planted heavy kisses on Vunt's face from either side, and the room once again drifted into an atmosphere of romantic ambiguity.
{Note 1}: Hutt Space is a very chaotic sector in the Outer Rim of the galaxy, containing approximately thousands of star systems, and is primarily the territory of the Hutts. After the ancient Hutt Empire was defeated by the Galactic Republic, due to its remote location, it maintained a high degree of autonomy and even possesses a sizable fleet. Therefore, in this sector, the Hutts are the undisputed local emperors.
