Chapter 52: Stirring Up Trouble (Part 1) [Seeking Monthly Tickets, Seeking Recommendation Votes, Seeking Follows]

51. Stirring Up Trouble (Part 1)

In a barren shack in the northwest district of Mos Eisley, Yuri Orlov sat up from a bed made of rags. Bare-chested with only a tie hanging around his neck, he looked up at the two suns in the sky with extreme anxiety and cursed loudly, "This godforsaken place is seriously... fucking... boiling!!"

Vitaly Orlov had been up for a while, sitting by the bed drinking plain water. He was also drenched in sweat, with strands of hair matted to his forehead. However, he seemed quite composed, saying calmly, "That's enough, brother. Even if we don't remember clearly, we used to wander around the desert quite a bit. Drink some water."

He tossed the water bottle toward him.

"But it wasn't like this there! Those fucking two suns!" Yuri cursed. He failed to catch the bottle and reached out to grab it, only to snatch up a stink bug instead, which sent him into a rage.

"I've had fucking enough!! How much longer do we have to wait in this godforsaken place!!" Yuri jumped up, cursing incessantly.

"Hey, wait!" Vitaly squinted at the distance, where a cloud of dust was rising. "Someone's coming from over there!"

Yuri immediately ran to the window and picked up binoculars to check. Sure enough, he saw a group of Bosa people speeding toward them in several hover trucks.

"Oh baby, you're finally here..." Yuri tugged at the tie around his neck. "They look like they succeeded; they should be able to pay the debt now, right? Wait..."

He noticed an even larger cloud of dust behind them. Adjusting the focus of his binoculars, he realized with horror that over a dozen swoop bikes were in hot pursuit behind them!!

"Holy shit! Fuck!! They've brought trouble! Trouble! Quick, Vitaly! Get ready to run! You guys, come over here and move the stuff!!" Yuri scrambled down in a panic, hurriedly calling back the three T-850s that were standing guard nearby.

They quickly loaded the firearms and ammunition onto the vehicle, gathering their gear. Fortunately, the T-850s possessed immense strength, and they finally finished loading everything.

Before Yuri could find his clothes amidst the pile of rags, the roar of motors sounded, and the group of Bosa people came charging in with their hover trucks.

The leader, Scar, didn't even get out of his vehicle. Grinning ferociously, he shouted to Yuri, "Your guns are very useful, merchant. My name is Magtan-Scar, brother of Broderick-Crag! You can just call me Scar from now on! This is your payment, keep it safe. See you next time, hahahaha!!"

As he spoke, several men pushed two large crates, each over three meters long, off the truck, and then sped away.

The rising dust coated Yuri from head to toe. He wiped his face, but before he could utter a curse, several blaster bolts suddenly hissed and struck the surroundings!

It was the pursuers! They clearly mistook Yuri for Magtan-Scar's accomplice and had sent several swoop bikes to chase them down!

"Shit! Shit!! Block them quickly! Get the stuff on the truck, fast! Fast!!" Yuri was nearly scared to death, scrambling onto the hover truck to hide behind the crates.

Vitaly also leaped onto the driver's seat in a few strides, shouting to Yuri, "Forget those crates! We need to get out of here!!"

"Absolutely not! That's my payment for this trip!!" Yuri cursed as he crawled out from the passenger side, pulling out an assault rifle and firing blindly at the pursuers behind them.

Of the three T-850s, two went to move the cargo, while the remaining one picked up a machine gun and opened heavy fire on the pursuers!

Rat-tat-tat-tat! Rat-tat-tat-tat!! Long tongues of flame erupted from the muzzle as 12.7mm rounds sprayed out like raindrops! With a few accurate bursts, the T-850 destroyed the first two swoop bikes, causing the rest to scatter to the sides.

A few stray blaster bolts struck the T-850, immediately charring its synthetic skin and knocking a chunk off its endoskeleton armor, but they failed to cause any lethal damage. The T-850 stood firm against the wind like a god, its machine gun firing relentlessly!

By then, the two crates had been loaded by the T-850s. Vitaly immediately slammed on the accelerator, and the hover truck sped off, leaving a trail of dust. The three T-850s stood at the back of the truck, each with a machine gun, firing wildly at the pursuers.

It had to be said that whether it was kinetic or energy weapons, anything that could kill was a good weapon. Especially in a remote place like Tatooine, where it was hard to find military-grade energy shields, as long as the ammunition problem was solved, the power of kinetic weapons could even exceed that of single-shot blaster pistols!

The firepower of the three M-427 general-purpose machine guns was absurdly strong. The pursuers behind them were only armed with DL-18 blaster pistols. Although a single blaster bolt was powerful, one had to pull the trigger for every shot; compared to a machine gun firing 1,000 rounds per minute, they were in a completely different league!

The pursuing swoop bikes were instantly scattered by the dense hail of bullets, and for the time being, it looked as though they wouldn't be able to catch up.

Seeing this, Scar, who hadn't traveled far, burst into wild laughter and roared, "Hey, merchant! I want those big guns of yours next time! Have them ready for me, hahahahaha!!"

...

In the outer space of Tatooine, aboard the Hammerhead-class cruiser of 'Iron Fang' Kooken.

Vunt, disguised as a cleaner, walked through the cruiser. The sisters, Suya and Taia, had hooked up with Kooken's navigator, leaving him so infatuated that he agreed to anything. Now, all the technical parameters of this cruiser were stored on a device on his person.

However, he was clearly not satisfied and began wandering around this filthy, dilapidated cruiser to see if he could find more opportunities.

Passing by the mess hall, which had been converted into a bar, Vunt saw Suya hugging the navigator and acting coquettishly. Noticing Vunt approaching, Suya gave him a subtle wink and giggled incessantly.

The navigator thought Suya was smiling at him and became even more conceited, drinking himself into a stupor.

Vunt had already mapped out the layout of the cruiser. Although the ship was currently in a state of chaotic debauchery, it was still a pirate ship after all; key locations like the armory, the bridge, the main reactor, and the engines were still inaccessible.

But Vunt's target was not those places. He knew exactly what needed to be done to this cruiser, which was about to attack the Fourth Civilization's mothership.

The point-defense systems!! And the carrier-based fighters!!

The Fourth Civilization's main combat force still consisted of modified Blade-class fighters. This meant that the greatest threat to the Blade-class fighters was not the main cannons of this Hammerhead-class cruiser, but rather the point-defense turrets and the carrier-based fighters.

There were eight point-defense turrets distributed throughout the warship. As Vunt strolled past, he inconspicuously severed the circuits of six of them. Furthermore, he didn't cut the main lines; first, such things were hard to find hidden deep inside, and second, if he had actually cut the main lines, the weapon system would have detected it during a self-check.
