Chapter 5: Medical System

“Pay me back!” Xia Zhi stepped forward, reaching her hands out directly toward the two of them, glaring at them without backing down.

Gu Yunshen also stared at her with an unfriendly expression; he didn't believe that a grown man like himself couldn't subdue her. “Xia Zhi, it’s not like we aren't going to pay you back.”

A flash of disgust crossed Xia Zhi's eyes. “Then pay me back right now!”

Seeing the disgust in her eyes, Gu Yunshen’s expression jolted. From childhood until now, this was the first time she had ever shown him such a look.

“Zhizi, how about tomorrow?” Zhang Xiao hurriedly stepped forward to speak. She planned to bluff Xia Zhi for now and discuss it further once her husband returned in the evening.

Xia Zhi narrowed her eyes, wanting to stall her. Zhang Xiao wasn't the one in charge of the money; no matter how much she pressured her, it would be useless.

“Fine, tomorrow then.”

A flash of joy appeared in Zhang Xiao's eyes. Great! Once her husband brought the old lady back, they would teach Xia Zhi a lesson. She was just an orphan; let's see how long she could keep up this toughness.

Lu Beiting nodded, then looked at his guard, Zhang Yi, beside him. “Let's go.”

“Xia Zhi, are you crazy?!”

Chen Xiuping hugged her daughter and screamed at her.

Xia Zhi directed her gaze straight at Hao Liping, pointing the knife at her. “I'll give you two choices. One: clean up my house. Two: I smash your house!”
