Chapter 10: Caught Red-Handed Again

It's over!

Her heart constricted, her mind raced, and the moment she landed, she slipped into her space.

"Huh!"

The pain she expected to feel never came, and the arrogant threats of the instructors came to an abrupt halt.

"You scared me to death!"

Patting her chest, Ding Xuewei turned her gaze toward the two little girls, whose heads were bleeding.

One looked about fourteen or fifteen, and the other about eleven or twelve. Both had delicate, pretty oval faces with small noses and small mouths. Judging by their clothing, they both seemed to come from poor families and had likely been sold.

Approaching them, she checked their condition. Seeing that their injuries were only superficial and that while their breathing was weak, it was steady, she felt relieved.

"They vanished! This person just vanished right before my eyes!"

An incredulous and panicked voice suddenly reached her ears.

"Don't talk nonsense," the first speaker interjected.

The person who appeared calm on the surface seemed unable to maintain his composure upon hearing this, while the one with a guilty conscience became increasingly terrified.

"Are we still looking for this person?"

The voices outside paused for a few seconds before resuming: "The rain is heavy and it's dark; it's not easy to find them. Let's talk about it tomorrow. They didn't have the strength to run very far."

The pitter-patter of footsteps quickly faded into the distance. Listening intently, Ding Xuewei let out a complex smile.

She had become bolder because she possessed a space, but she had never intended to vanish blatantly in front of people!

This was simply too audacious!

With three children lying in the space, Ding Xuewei, not wanting to expose her secret, hurriedly exited the space.

She was very careful when exiting, and she was mentally well-prepared.

People were already saying they saw a ghost; if they were lying in wait, she would truly show them a ghost. There was plenty of food in the space, and she could afford to outlast them.

All sorts of strange props, pepper spray, and various sizes of stun guns.

After finding a usable stun gun and a bottle of pepper spray that looked small but was extremely powerful, Ding Xuewei finally felt at ease about her journey to the prefectural city.

Tucking the stun gun and pepper spray into her waist, she rushed out of the dormitory, grabbed the electric scooter, and left the space.

There were no rules regarding exiting the space; she could exit from anywhere within it. However, to enter the space, she could only arrive at the Second Canteen.

Now, the canteen contained not only this large electric scooter but also the smaller one she had ridden before. Compared to bringing the small one out, it would be better to exit the forest herself and then return to pick up the large scooter by the roadside.

The roads here, even the official highways, were far from smooth; the electric scooter was too small and truly difficult to ride.

Since there was no one on the road and she had the great advantage of her space, she wasn't afraid of falling. Along the way, she not only brazenly kept the headlights on but also pushed her speed to the limit.

By the time dawn was breaking, she was already over seventy li away from Kang Town.

She first sent the depleted electric scooter back into the space, then exited to find a nearby forest to clear a small patch of ground. Only then did she unbind the three girls and bring them out of the space one by one.

As soon as a drop of rainwater fell, Pandi, who had been sleeping soundly, woke up. As for the other two, who were so exhausted they wouldn't even have the heart to bump into anything, they didn't even react when raindrops from the leaves dripped onto their faces.

After thinking it over, she called Pandi aside and instructed her: "If they ask what happened when they wake up, just say you don't know. I'll talk to them later. And as for us being kidnapped, you must forget it. From now on, you must never mention it in front of anyone."

"Why?" Pandi felt that the older girl was more experienced and persuasive.

At the end of the day, she was still a child; no matter how smart she was, she didn't know how to hide the intentions in her eyes.

Ding Xuewei could see right through her.

"What kind of good person would dare to kidnap people? And if people find out we were kidnapped by bad people, they will only guess the worst. Even if we haven't done anything wrong, others will look at us with strange eyes. To avoid affecting our reputation, we must keep this matter buried deep inside!"

When it comes to being kidnapped, besides feeling sympathy, people also generate all sorts of speculations, and most of these speculations are negative.

"Pandi, there are some things that people won't believe just because we say they didn't happen. For our own sake, don't say unnecessary words."

The girl nodded firmly: "Big Sister, I understand."

Rubbing the child's soft hair, Ding Xuewei instructed her to keep an eye on the other two, then ducked out of the forest, walked a few steps, and entered from the other side.

Not long after, she emerged from the space carrying a large bundle and two cloth bags.

Pandi, who had just finished pulling up her trousers, once again witnessed the spectacle of her big sister's sudden appearance. As for Ding Xuewei, who saw Pandi's figure not far away the moment she exited the space, her heart was filled with complexity.

"Why did you come here?"

"I was afraid of the smell bothering them," Pandi answered blankly.

Ding Xuewei was speechless.

She came here to take a crap!

She didn't know if Pandi was lucky or if she was just incredibly unlucky.

"Let's go. Once we've taken care of them, we need to hurry on our way!"

Ding Xuewei played the ostrich, waiting for Pandi to speak first, while Pandi, seeing her sister's annoyed expression, didn't dare say much and obediently ducked back in, forgetting to help carry the things.
