Mad Beast War God
Chapter 2: Crimson Spider Venom
At this moment, Si Kongjing felt as if his entire body were burning, every drop of blood boiling within him.
The pain on his face flashed and vanished.
It was immediately replaced by a surge of pleasant surprise; his shattered meridians were constantly knitting and repairing themselves within the boiling blood, like a dense spiderweb, continuously constructing brand-new channels.
When that drop of Ten Thousand Beast Blood flowed to his dantian, a brand-new dantian began to take shape.
His dantian resembled the skull of an unknown giant beast, shifting from pale to deep, from formless to tangible, until it finally appeared in its entirety!
At this moment, the shrew had not noticed the changes in Si Kongjing. She continued to berate Su Yuexi, "If not you, then who? The entire Su family knows you have a sickly husband to support now. If you dare say otherwise, do you believe I’ll kill you?"
She shoved Su Yuexi to the ground and stepped on her face, grinding her foot down hard.
"An ugly freak, the second young lady of the Su family, ha ha..."
The shrew ground her large foot down while laughing wildly, "If you want me to let bygones be bygones, kneel down and beg me. I’ve never tasted the pleasure of having the master’s daughter kneel and beg for mercy."
Su Yuexi was pinned to the ground. Because of her veil, no expression could be seen, but the pair of eyes exposed were resolute.
Asking her to kneel? Impossible!
Seeing this, the shrew laughed even more viciously, "Still stubborn, are you? But I have plenty of ways to deal with you. I wonder what would happen if I sat my fat ass right on top of your sickly husband?"
Withdrawing her foot, the shrew’s massive body lumbered toward Si Kongjing on the straw mat.
Su Yuexi’s face changed drastically. She scrambled up and cried out, "Please, don't hurt him! I'll kneel for you, just stop!"
The shrew paused and let out a mocking laugh, "The ugly freak is actually in heat?"
"It’s no wonder. It’s not easy for a man to want you; of course, you’d want to enjoy the pleasure you’ve never had in your life."
"But it’s too late!"
As she finished speaking, the shrew reached the edge of the straw mat, ready to crush Si Kongjing with her weight.
If Si Kongjing were still in his previous weakened state, this impact would likely have cost him half his life. But at this moment, the dantian and meridians within him had fully recovered; his injuries were healed.
He snapped his eyes open, flames seemingly flickering within them.
A large, calloused hand reached out and gripped the shrew’s throat, lifting her feet clean off the ground.
Si Kongjing asked coldly, "How do you want to die?"
Su Yuexi, who had been in a state of extreme anxiety and preparing to kneel, froze, staring at the scene before her in disbelief.
At some point, the husband whose name she didn't even know had stood up from the straw mat. He held the shrew high, his posture more upright than she could have imagined, his facial features sharp and defined, with not a trace of paleness left.
There was only coldness and dominance!
The shrew finally realized what was happening, her shock turning to rage, "You sickly brat, let me go, otherwise—"
Before she could finish, Si Kongjing interrupted her heavily, "It was this hand that hit my wife, wasn't it?"
Gripping the shrew’s right arm, Si Kongjing gave a fierce tug.
The arm was torn clean off. As she shrieked in agony, Si Kongjing asked again, "And it was this foot that stepped on my wife, wasn't it?"
With another swift hand-blade strike, the shrew’s leg was severed cleanly, blood spraying wildly!
After finishing, Si Kongjing tossed her out the door, kicking her severed hand and foot out after her. He then turned his gaze back to Su Yuexi, who was too stunned to speak, and asked softly, "Are you alright?"
"You, you..."
As if waking from a dream, Su Yuexi still couldn't form a complete sentence.
"I am fine. Thank you for taking care of me these past few days." Si Kongjing was accustomed to grand scenes; even though he had only just recovered his dantian and meridians, he felt no emotional turbulence in punishing a shrew.
The only thing he felt was a faint tenderness as he looked at Su Yuexi.
Suddenly, Si Kongjing asked, "You wouldn't kneel even when you were being trampled underfoot, so why were you willing to kneel for me?"
Having experienced the betrayal of blood, suddenly encountering someone who would defend him so fiercely made it difficult for Si Kongjing not to be moved.
Su Yuexi’s black veil stirred as she lowered her head and said, "You are my husband. Of course, I cannot let you be humiliated."
A single sentence left Si Kongjing’s expression stiff, a surge of indescribable emotion welling up in his heart.
Yan Ruyu, who had once sworn eternal love, had taken everything from him, yet Su Yuexi, whom he had met only by chance, was willing to suffer humiliation for his sake.
What a mockery this was.
Si Kongjing sighed, "Heaven has not completely abandoned me."
Having said that, he stepped in front of Su Yuexi.
Without hesitation, he lifted the veil from her face, revealing a face that looked like a spiderweb, densely covered in black spider-like moles that were nauseating to behold.
On her face, there was also the blood still dripping from where the shrew had stepped on her.
"Ah? Don't look!" Su Yuexi reacted, frantically covering her face and crouching down hard.
But Si Kongjing pulled her hands away with force.
He needed to see her face to determine if there was a way to treat it and what the problem was.
Staring at her, the name of a poison flashed through Si Kongjing’s mind, and he said coldly, "Crimson Spider Venom."
