Mad Beast War God
Chapter 3: Myriad Beast Heavenly Prison
As a former invincible divine general of the Great Shang Dynasty, Si Kongjing had been free to peruse the books in the Imperial Library. During the Rebellion of the Seven Kingdoms, he had specifically studied various poisons in order to defeat the Ten Thousand Poisons Kingdom.
Among them were records of the Crimson Spider Venom; the symptoms the victim suffered were exactly what Su Yueshi was currently exhibiting.
In other words, Su Yueshi was not born ugly; someone had poisoned her.
Si Kongjing’s overbearing gaze caused Su Yueshi to burst into tears, pleading, "Don't look, I beg you, please don't look anymore."
Releasing her, Si Kongjing realized he had been too rash and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I will find a way to fix your face..."
Before he could finish, Su Yueshi interrupted him through her tears, "I am the one who should be sorry for scaring you."
With that, Su Yueshi retied her veil and ran out, sobbing.
She assumed that Si Kongjing’s dazed expression while recalling the Crimson Spider Venom was because he had been horrified by her face.
The sorrow in her heart could well be imagined!
Si Kongjing reached out his hand. He had meant to say that he would find a way to obtain the antidote for the Crimson Spider Venom, but he suddenly realized that in his current state, how could it be easy to go to the Ten Thousand Poisons Kingdom to retrieve it?
For now, it was better not to give Su Yueshi false hope.
Returning to the straw mat, Si Kongjing muttered to himself, "Blood of ten thousand beasts, the boiling of beast blood?"
His gaze sharpened, and he forcefully flipped over the straw mat.
Beneath the mat, on the dirt-covered ground, a monster’s head constructed from intricate strokes was revealed. Every line was blood-red, emitting a faint, bloody scent.
Si Kongjing crouched down and gently touched the monster’s head, deducing, "This is my blood. It was the blood I spat out that awakened this mysterious monster head, condensing the Ten Thousand Beast Blood Bead and allowing me to be reborn."
*Hum!*
Suddenly, the monster head drawn in his blood opened its eyes, locking gazes directly with Si Kongjing.
They were a pair of tyrannical pupils!
In Si Kongjing’s ears, that vast, deep voice resonated once more: "Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts, from now on, the Ten Thousand Beast Heavenly Prison shall be guarded by you."
The voice faded, drifting away into the ethereal.
The blood lines that formed the monster head on the ground began to rise, drifting like smoke...
Finally, the blood lines condensed into a small monster-head emblem, and with a *chirp*, it dove straight into the center of Si Kongjing’s brow.
*Boom!*
Si Kongjing’s mind roared again. The hut before him vanished, and his consciousness arrived in a strange place.
The sky was dark, the earth was withered, and it stretched on endlessly.
Si Kongjing felt as if he were floating among the clouds, looking down at this lifeless world. But why was this place called the Ten Thousand Beast Heavenly Prison?
There wasn't a single demonic beast to be seen.
"He has come, the new Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts has appeared."
A deep voice suddenly erupted, and the dark earth seemed to churn with massive waves, accompanied by excited roars.
"We are saved, we are finally saved."
"Haha, one hundred thousand years! I have been locked in the cage of the Ten Thousand Beast Heavenly Prison for a full one hundred thousand years, and finally, I have waited for the Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts."
The excited voices shook the earth and pierced the sky; Si Kongjing felt as if the ground were boiling.
But the next second, the excited voices came to an abrupt halt.
A voice filled with monstrous rage shook the heavens and earth: "Why is the new Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts a human?"
In the blink of an eye, the atmosphere of the land shifted drastically, from excitement to agitation, and then to fury!
"This must be a conspiracy of the Five Great Heavenly Emperors. They sent a human to be the Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts to exterminate us all."
"I am not reconciled! Five Great Heavenly Emperors, you shameless scoundrels!"
"Kill him! Kill this human!"
Following the waves of angry roars, the dark earth trembled like a landslide or a tsunami.
A brilliant light rose, and a golden divine dragon lunged out from the earth, breaking through the sky and pouncing toward Si Kongjing in the clouds. Its momentum was enough to tear him to shreds.
But the next second, a clanking sound rang out. The golden dragon’s momentum was halted, and it was violently jerked back in mid-air.
Even with Si Kongjing’s strong heart, he was shocked by the sight before him.
He saw massive chains bound to the golden dragon, nine of them connected to the earth. No matter how the dragon struggled, it could not break free; only the clanking sound echoed through the heavens and earth!
"Human, I will devour you!"
A second giant beast broke through the earth and surged upward. It was a giant tiger, pitch-black all over, its mouth wide enough to swallow the sky and absorb the earth.
Si Kongjing’s entire body trembled as he whispered, "Black Prison Heaven-Swallowing Tiger."
He had seen its totem in the Great Shang Imperial Library, but it, too, was firmly bound by chains, unable to advance even an inch.
"Roar, roar, roar..."
Following that, giant beast after giant beast soared into the sky. In the blink of an eye, the horizon was filled with them—countless in number. Some were beasts whose totems he had seen, but ninety-nine percent were demonic beasts he had never even heard of.
At this moment, Si Kongjing finally understood.
Why this place was called the Ten Thousand Beast Heavenly Prison—because it imprisoned all the most terrifying demonic beasts in the world.
And he, a human, had inexplicably become their Lord.
