I might be a fake Ultraman.

Chapter 2: The Two-Thousand-Year-Old Child, Baili Yuan (New book launched, please follow/subscribe)

The reason Baili Yuan accepted the system was, on one hand, out of pity, and also because he wanted someone to talk to. On the other hand, it was because he had used his own light to sense the Egg System and knew it held no malice toward him.

As an Ultraman, Baili Yuan had been taught since childhood to trust in his own strength and his own light. The feedback he received from his light was what led him to choose to accept the Egg System.

In fact, after the Egg System’s introduction, Baili Yuan gained a simple understanding of such a miraculous existence.

The system was a special entity existing between fantasy and reality. Because of this, it could perform all sorts of miraculous feats, though it required a host to serve as its anchor.

After the Egg System possessed him, it gave Baili Yuan two starter items.

One was an Egg Detector, which could detect the location of all eggs within a certain range. The other was the system’s built-in Egg-Smashing Hammer, designed specifically for smashing eggs, with the unique attribute of being indestructible.

After the system was activated, eggs also began to spawn within the spatial turbulence. However, most of the eggs that spawned in the spatial turbulence were in extremely dangerous locations, surrounded by spatial storms of varying sizes. Baili Yuan could barely dodge them in time; how could he possibly be reckless enough to go pick up eggs?

Furthermore, eggs could only be smashed after being picked up; otherwise, they were unusable.

Perhaps it was truly because the spatial turbulence was so dangerous, but none of the eggs that spawned there were below Gold rank, and there were quite a few of them. It made Baili Yuan’s mouth water, but that was all it was—just longing.

However, Baili Yuan later discovered another use for these eggs: predicting danger!

Whenever a high-rank egg was detected on the scanner, he would avoid it without a second thought, because where there was an egg, there was bound to be great danger!

It was thanks to this brilliant maneuver that Baili Yuan was able to safely dodge danger in the spatial turbulence and survive for quite some time.

However, this was not a long-term solution, because—Baili Yuan’s light was about to be exhausted!

Once Baili Yuan’s light was completely depleted, whether he regressed to his human form or turned into a stone statue, the only outcome awaiting him would be death.

After a fierce internal struggle, Baili Yuan decided to take a risk. Since he was going to die anyway, why not give it a shot?

After some searching, he found a Supreme Egg. The spatial storms surrounding the Supreme Egg were incredibly violent; a single imbalance would trigger an explosion of spatial energy, which would absolutely be enough to tear through the spatial barrier!

Baili Yuan used his final bit of light to attack the spatial storm, successfully detonating it. The explosion of spatial energy shattered the spatial barrier, and Baili Yuan was, as he had hoped, flung out of the spatial turbulence—though it didn't feel very pleasant.

When Baili Yuan opened his eyes again, he found himself in an unfamiliar world—the world he was currently in.

Although he didn't know where he was, the environment here was clearly far superior to that of the spatial turbulence.

That, in short, was the story of Baili Yuan and the Egg System, as well as the process of his transmigration.

Baili Yuan had been in this world for five days, and he had gained a preliminary understanding of the situation.

However, Baili Yuan’s own condition was not very good.

First, his light was exhausted. Fortunately, Baili Yuan had regressed to his human form; although he couldn't transform, his life was preserved.

While the power of light in this world was abundant, it was very difficult to absorb, as if it had been solidified. According to Baili Yuan’s own estimates, it would take at least a year to absorb enough light to transform, and even then, it would be consumed rapidly after transformation.

Second, Baili Yuan had no legitimate identity and could only wander the streets. Fortunately, the beings in this world were also humans, and no one discovered that Baili Yuan was actually a visitor from another world.

Moreover, this was Baili Yuan’s second transmigration, so his mental age was far higher than his physical appearance, allowing him to take good care of himself.

Baili Yuan had managed quite well over the past five days.

Although he had no identity or money, Baili Yuan had manifested directly into his human form—not the kind of human host possession—so he was still an Ultraman at his core. He didn't need to worry about starving to death; basking in the sun was enough to maintain his basic survival.

Baili Yuan couldn't help but sigh at how convenient it was to be an Ultraman in this regard.

While familiarizing himself with this world, Baili Yuan was also searching for spawned eggs.

Compared to the spatial turbulence, the quality and quantity of eggs spawning in this city, called Cloud City, were much worse. Having grown accustomed to the sight of Diamond eggs everywhere in the spatial turbulence, Baili Yuan felt a strange disdain for the eggs spawning in Cloud City, which led him to feel a bit of disdain for the city itself.

During this time, the eggs Baili Yuan collected the most were Black Iron eggs, and he had only managed to collect two Bronze eggs.

These two types of eggs usually spawned near stray dogs or cats; the only difference was that the stray dogs near the Bronze eggs were a bit tougher.

But in the end, Baili Yuan would just use his Egg-Smashing Hammer to knock them out and then carry the eggs away.

The items that came out of these two types of eggs were all daily necessities or some worthless trinkets. For instance, the cigarettes Baili Yuan smoked and the clothes he wore were all obtained from these eggs; there was simply nothing of value.

As for the remaining higher-rank eggs, they were all in the residences of people who were clearly powerful and influential, or on their persons, guarded by others. Baili Yuan didn't dare to barge in.

Although an Ultraman’s human form possessed one percent of his transformed strength, don't forget, Baili Yuan wasn't very powerful even when transformed—he was just a child of over two thousand years old—and his strength in human form was even more limited.

And this world was certainly not a world of ordinary people!

As for the Diamond egg currently in front of Baili Yuan, it was the only Diamond egg he had encountered during this time.

And the location where it spawned was on that woman’s chest!

Both the woman and the location of the egg were extremely dangerous. After he couldn't resist taking action, Baili Yuan’s heart felt like it was about to jump out of his throat.

Fortunately, perhaps because he was a child, the woman didn't think much of it, allowing Baili Yuan to succeed.

……

Baili Yuan looked at the Diamond egg in front of him. Just like its name, it looked as if it had been carved from a diamond, dazzling to the eyes.

Baili Yuan pulled a hammer about the size of his own head from the system space and weighed it in his hand.

This was the Egg-Smashing Hammer gifted by the system.

It was golden all over and inlaid with gemstones; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it a work of art.

After taking a few practice swings with the hammer at the Diamond egg, Baili Yuan raised it high above his head.

"King of Ultra, bless me!"

With a loud shout, Baili Yuan brought the hammer down hard.

*Bang!*

The usual colorful firework effect bloomed, creating the feeling of hitting a jackpot. Perhaps because the Diamond egg was so rare, the effects were even more spectacular than when smashing Black Iron or Bronze eggs.

A golden light flashed and then gradually faded, revealing the item inside the egg.

Baili Yuan leaned in with anticipation, but his expression stiffened the moment he saw what was inside.

"It was a Diamond egg, and you, motherf***er, give me this kind of crap???"

Inside the eggshell lay a game console-like device, accompanied by a small note for introduction—

"Nintendo Handheld: A handheld console released by the Nintendo Brothers Company, containing various versions of Pokémon games. —Starting today, strive to become a Pokémon Master!"
