After Feeding the Top-Tier Orcs, I Became the Interstellar Galaxy's Darling
Chapter 15: The Hidden Struggles Between Two Beasts and One Person
“Oh, so you two finally decided to come back? You even learned how to open doors now? Look at you, getting all big and important!”
Liang He stood with her hands on her hips, looking huffy and feigning a serious expression as she began to lecture the two large creatures.
Watching the adorable sight of the Ink-Gold Tiger drooping its ears and the Azure Hunter Falcon burying its head into its neck, listening to the reprimand obediently, Liang He almost couldn't hold back her laughter.
Beside her, Huo An felt an even sharper contrast. Just a moment ago, they had been at each other's throats, and in the blink of an eye, they had turned into good little babies. They really were something.
“Brother Huo, how do you think I should punish them?”
Liang He shot Huo An a meaningful look, signaling him to provide an out so she could gain some favor with Cedric and Landon, avoiding being targeted by them again.
“Ahem, they are just being immature. Just teach them slowly. Let’s not let it happen again.”
For some reason, Huo An suddenly thought of his own strict father and gentle mother, and subconsciously mimicked his father's words.
“Since Brother Huo said so, Cedric, Landon—you two are not allowed to run off wildly again.”
Having finally finished her performance, Liang He’s tone softened instantly. Cedric twitched his ears and lifted his eyes innocently and cautiously; once he confirmed she wasn't angry anymore, he immediately leaned in, desperately acting spoiled.
“Awoo~”
Cedric hooked his tail around Liang He’s wrist, his fluffy tiger head constantly rubbing against her face, his golden eyes filled with nothing but trust and dependence.
Seeing Liang He being monopolized by Cedric, Landon couldn't stand on the sidelines either. He quickly occupied her other side, affectionately burying his small head into the crook of her neck, while his wings, hidden behind his back, gave the big tiger a nudge.
Witnessing the two beasts fighting for affection, Huo An, unable to watch, raised an eyebrow and took a few "dog-legged" photos of them, intending to go ruin their reputations in the parents' group.

【Huo An: @All, [Image]】
Simple, direct, and clear. There was no need for words. When the parents of Cedric and Landon clicked on the image, they had only one thought.
Is this really their majestic (all-controlling) Marshal (Commander)?
His persona has completely collapsed!
The other parents, also unable to watch, fell into silence, but Huo An could already feel the shock behind that silence.
“Brother Huo, what are you laughing at?”
Seeing that Huo An wasn't speaking, Liang He looked over curiously, only to see him flashing a "death smile" at his light computer, which was a bit terrifying.
“It’s nothing.”
Catching a glimpse of Liang He’s indescribable expression, Huo An immediately suppressed his smile and returned to normal.
“By the way, I asked someone to bring back many specialties from Blue Star. I'll go to the aircraft to get them for you.”
“Really? That's wonderful! Thank you, Brother Huo!”
Upon hearing they were specialties from his hometown, Liang He was so happy she nearly jumped on the spot, giving Cedric a hard kiss on the forehead to release her joy.
Even though it was a gift she had brought, it was Cedric who received the reward. This caused Huo An's good mood to vanish instantly; he pursed his lips and walked toward the aircraft.
Seeing this, Liang He followed closely behind, fearing that if she let her guard down for a moment, the specialties would disappear.
“Do Cedric and Landon want to help move things too?”
Liang He, who had originally thought the Ink-Gold Tiger and the Azure Hunter Falcon would find somewhere to rest, teased them jokingly when she saw them following her and refusing to leave.
As it turned out, whether Cedric and Landon understood her or not, they actually started helping with the moving.
Just as Huo An placed the boxes and bags on the ground, Cedric used his large paws to push a box toward the treatment room in the service area, while Landon directly gripped the handle of a bag in his beak and flew toward the treatment room.
“Wow! Cedric and Landon are so great! You both know how to help Sister move things now!”
Liang He’s praise flowed like it cost nothing, constantly flying toward Cedric and Landon, which only made them work even harder. By the time Huo An had finished moving everything from the aircraft, they were actually complaining that it was over too soon.
“Awoo!” (You stingy thing!)
“Lii!” (Agreed!)
Huo An:...If you're so capable, buy them for Liang He yourselves next time!
“With so many things, I feel like the treatment room is almost going to be full.”
Looking at the room filled with supplies, various medical equipment, and a large bed, Liang He felt a bit cramped for the first time.
She seemed to be treating the "company" a bit too much like a home.
“The service area has animal dormitories. You could actually let Cedric and Landon sleep there themselves.”
*They are such large beasts, yet they cling to the keeper all day. Have they no shame?*
Huo An grumbled inwardly, forgetting that his previous pleas for them to be more friendly with humans had been nothing more than wishful thinking.
“They might not be used to it if I'm not around, but moving to the animal dormitory together might be a good idea.”
There were some things Liang He didn't ask about, but that didn't mean she didn't sense them.
The trust and dependence Cedric and Landon had for her had never been shown to anyone else.
On the contrary, she could sense how wary and resistant they were every time they saw Huo An, Xu Yi, and the others.
“It just so happens that I need to keep an eye on the two little wolf cubs constantly; I have to feed them goat milk every three hours.”
Feeling that it was a perfect plan, Liang He set out to move.
Huo An had intended to help, but an emergency had arisen in the reserve that required his attention, so he had to call it off.
“There's no rush to move. I'll come help you once I'm finished with my work.”
Worried that a weak Blue Star person wouldn't be able to handle such physical labor, Huo An specifically told her not to push herself or overexert.
“Don't worry, Brother Huo, I know what I'm doing.”
With one tiger and one falcon in tow, Liang He smiled and saw Huo An off, then began organizing and categorizing everything to get it done in one go.
The animal dormitory was very large, two stories high; it was likely reserved for large animals like giraffes and elephants, and the nursery was also located inside.
“Fortunately, the constant temperature equipment covers the entire animal dormitory and allows for zone-specific temperature adjustments, so I don't have to worry about being uncomfortable.”
The animal dormitory itself had storage areas. Previously, they were mainly used for animal feed, so there were freezers, which were perfect for Liang He to store food that required refrigeration or freezing.
In addition, there were dry goods, seasonings, pots, pans, and her personal clothing, all categorized and placed in the storage room for easy access.
“Next time, I'll have to apply to the District Chief to see if I can get an indoor kitchen installed.”
After finally moving the bed into one of the animal dormitories and finishing the cleanup, a tired and hungry Liang He sprawled on the bed and began contemplating the future.
She completely forgot that the reason she was living here was to treat Cedric; otherwise, she could have returned to the main service area.
To be honest, compared to the main service area, Liang He actually found herself more adapted to her current life living alone with the fluffies—free, easy, and happy every day.
“Awoo~”
“Lii~”
Unknowingly, dinner time arrived, and the Ink-Gold Tiger and the Azure Hunter Falcon prepared to head out for food again.
This time they had learned their lesson; they knew to greet Liang He first, and only after receiving her permission did the tiger and falcon dash into the jungle, disappearing into the twilight.
Sending the "children" off with the satisfied gaze of a mother, Liang He suddenly remembered something very important.
“Oh no! I forgot to feed the little wolf cubs their goat milk!”
