Unlimited Horror: The Strongest Team Zhongzhou
Chapter 14: The Plan Begins
Three rounds. With Chu Xuan’s brain, he could carry this team through at most three rounds.
They might even be able to rival the Devil or Celestial teams.
Yet, this man was currently being forced into such a state.
Although Li Xiao didn’t know how Chu Xuan had seen through Zhang Jie’s disguise, it didn’t stop him from mentally labeling both of them.
His brain aching from all the thinking, Li Xiao decided that as soon as he returned to the God’s dimension, he would exchange for that item.
Otherwise, his brain simply couldn't keep up.
“What about us?”
“How are we supposed to face the Xenomorphs?”
Bawang, who had remained silent until now, withdrew his gaze and asked Chu Xuan.
Chu Xuan nodded, then requested a few more grenades from Zhang Jie and Zheng Zha, finally handing them to Bawang.
He then said to Li Xiao and Bawang
“This was Zheng Zha’s suggestion to me.”
“At close range, a cluster of grenades tied together—even if it doesn’t kill a Xenomorph—can certainly inflict heavy damage.”
“With your arm strength and reaction time, Bawang, you only need to find a specific position to potentially injure an adult Xenomorph. Even if your reactions are slow, it will still serve as a deterrent, buying you enough time to escape.”
After Li Xiao took the grenades handed over by Bawang and tucked two sets into his clothing, Chu Xuan pointed to two straight corridors on the screen.
“When the time comes, you only need to stand at this intersection. From here, you can see the entire space within a hundred meters in a straight line. Once the Xenomorph rushes over from the other end, just pull the pins, throw them, and turn around and run.”
“As for whether you can complete this mission alive, that depends on your luck.”
“However, given that one of these three Xenomorphs is a feline variant, your chances of survival will drop sharply due to its speed. If it were Bawang or our main force encountering it, it would be a different story, because your strength and reflexes are far superior to Li Xiao’s, so your probability of survival would be much higher.”
Looking at the two sets of grenades in his hands, Bawang didn’t react much, just gave a flat nod.
Chu Xuan looked at the two of them and emphasized again
“Remember, you must throw them the moment you see the Xenomorph, because I have specifically shortened the fuse time. Given your strength and the Xenomorph’s speed, it will likely explode in mid-air.”
As he spoke, Chu Xuan tore off two slips of paper and handed them to the two men.
“These are the routes you will take after leaving, as well as your escape routes after throwing the grenades. I will give you five minutes to reach your positions, and then I will open the isolation bulkhead. At that point, besides carrying this clothing, I need you to bleed. And do it as much as you can without compromising your physical condition.”
As he said this, Zhang Jie, standing next to Chu Xuan, tossed over his titanium alloy dagger.
Li Xiao caught the cold dagger and said calmly, “No problem, don’t worry!”
Bawang also pulled his own sharkskin dagger from his chest
“Same here. Since the God’s dimension can heal any injury, it doesn’t matter to me!”
Zhan Lan looked at the two of them earnestly: “Aren’t you afraid?”
“That’s a Xenomorph!”
As she spoke, the emotional writer held her forehead and muttered to herself
“Then again, if you two were truly afraid of this, you probably wouldn’t have survived until today!”
Li Xiao and Bawang exchanged a look of mutual understanding and grinned simultaneously.
“Zhan Lan, once you’ve survived a few rounds, I believe you’ll have this resolve too!”
“‘Living towards death’ isn’t just a phrase of four words. It’s truly struggling within death itself!”
Zhan Lan seemed to recall the Xenomorph that had pierced her shoulder and gave a dry laugh
“Right, alright!”
Li Xiao flicked the dagger, performing two flourishes, and gestured against his body, seemingly contemplating where to make the cuts.
After giving the final instructions, Chu Xuan turned and began pressing buttons on the console, setting the programs.
A moment later, he stood up and asked Zheng Zha: “How is your recovery? Can you open the Gene Lock yet?”
Zheng Zha gave an OK sign, indicating it was no problem, though his expression looked slightly guilty.
“Right now, on the ship’s surveillance, the three Xenomorphs are very scattered. I think they must be looking for other food for the Xenomorph Queen!”
“After all, besides us, there are other plot characters on this ship.”
“Even if everyone else dies, that one won’t!”
Having arranged everything, Chu Xuan returned to the console and began a dazzling display of skill.
As the sound of keyboard keys striking the glass echoed, the monitor in the control room began to flash with irregular garbled code.
After a long while, Chu Xuan spoke with a pale face
“I have already set the closing sequence for the isolation bulkheads.”
“Given the state of those four newcomers, this plan should be executed sooner rather than later. If everyone has no objections, we start in five minutes.”
Chu Xuan then said to Bawang and Li Xiao, who were acting as the “bait”
“You should have memorized the sequence on the slips of paper by now.”
“In four minutes, I will open the control room door. You have five minutes to reach your designated positions. Whether you live or die after that depends on your luck!”
“If you are lucky enough to survive, you will then follow us to kill the Xenomorph Queen.”
Bawang, who had crumpled the slip of paper in his hand, bared his teeth.
But in the end, he gritted his teeth, nodded, and said fiercely
“I hope we all get to see this damn Xenomorph Queen!”
Li Xiao suddenly laughed: “I’ll take your word for it!”
The white mercenary standing nearby shook his head
“Good words? What kind of good words are those?”
But time didn’t give them a moment to hesitate; the minutes passed in a flash.
As Chu Xuan operated the controls, the metal door of the control room opened instantly.
The heavy door opened with a bang amidst the mechanical sound of rotating gears.
The first thing everyone saw was that the door was covered in dents.
There were claw marks and scratches everywhere—and one had to remember that this was a door made of aerospace-grade metal.
Every scratch on it made everyone’s heart tremble.
It was as if the harsh sound of Xenomorph claws scraping against metal was still ringing in their ears.
The door closed once more. Watching the backs of the two “bait,” Zheng Zha let out a helpless sigh.
Things were indeed unfolding exactly as Chu Xuan had predicted; the three Xenomorphs on the monitor were rapidly moving toward the sides.
At this moment, everyone was focused intently on the big screen, even Zheng Zha.
As the Xenomorphs advanced, the isolation layers behind them were also continuously dropping.
But perhaps because the scent of blood ahead was too tempting, these Xenomorphs did not choose to turn back.
Two minutes later, Chu Xuan saw a clear path on the screen.
He decisively opened the door again.
“Go! Now!”
He ran out without looking back, with Zhang Jie and Zero following closely behind.
