Transmigrating to a Life of Honor and Wealth: Raising the Heir of the Childless Heir
Chapter 25: Teleportation Array
"If anyone can do it, then anyone can rob her."
"That's not quite it." Rong Yan shook his head, pondering for a moment. "Was your talent during the test the same as your brother's? If it was the same, it would be almost impossible to distinguish your talent. But one thing is certain: you have the lightning attribute."
Qin Tang pondered this, feeling somewhat surprised.
Qin Lang froze for a moment. Could the lightning attribute actually be related to his concubine-born elder cousin?!
"Is the lightning attribute good or not?" Qin Bi wasn't particularly happy; she wanted to know the situation first.
Her heart was not steady; she couldn't handle a massive emotional drop.
Jiang Xu interjected, "It's good. Combined with battle qi, it makes for formidable combat."
Rong Yan stole an extra glance at Qin Bi. Could it be that she had gained some battle qi from marrying the heir of their Rong family? Given her frail appearance and tendency to cry, the idea of her being a powerful combatant was quite hard to believe.
Qin Xun said with some joy, "Father and Grandfather will surely be delighted when they find out."
However, Qin Bi knew it wasn't that simple. She didn't understand the intricacies, but that didn't mean she was unaware of how difficult the path of cultivation was. If cultivation were easy, the entire Great Yan Kingdom would be composed of cultivators.
Simply possessing a bit of lightning-type ability didn't warrant too much fuss.
Glancing at her summoned magical tool, Qin Bi was surprised; she hadn't expected it to be truly powerful.
She had thought it was just a tea bowl and hadn't thought much of it. Truly, one cannot judge the magical tools of the cultivation world by their appearance.
Without this summoned tool, she would never have been able to manifest her lightning ability in this lifetime. Qin Bi felt that she likely possessed more than just this one ability—not because she had proof, but simply because of a feeling.
Her intuition had been poor when she was a child, and her guesses were rarely accurate, but in recent years, her hunches had seldom been wrong.
While Qin Tang, Rong Yan, and the others were talking, Qin Bi kept searching the sky where the lightning had just condensed. Qin Lang asked his brothers, "Are we still hunting demon beasts?"
Jiang Xu looked around. "There are no more demon beasts here; we'll have to look elsewhere."
Qin Xun watched Zhang Sunrao's group, who were still engaged in slaughter. The white foxes in this small spatial dimension were not of a low level. Qin Xun's eyes showed envy. "Those white foxes are truly wonderful."
Their fur is excellent, and their crystals must be quite good as well.
Rong Yan followed his gaze and shook his head. "Didn't you see their summoned beasts and plants? They are all predatory species. Especially those summoned vines; their combat power is very strong."
Rong Yan added, "We can't beat those white fox demon beasts."
Qin Bi didn't join the conversation. As she continued searching the sky, she paused. *Hm?* In the sweltering summer heat, a flash of purple streaked through the void. Qin Bi's gaze froze, a guess formed in her mind, and a hint of a smile appeared on her face.
Qin Bi raised a finger and pointed. "Is that the lightning I summoned?"
Everyone looked over upon hearing her words. Rong Yan, being the most knowledgeable, was stunned.
A moment later, Rong Yan said excitedly, "Let's go kill the white foxes!"
Qin Lang was shocked. "We've already struck down four demon beasts, and that lightning hasn't even finished discharging yet??!!!"
"As long as the lightning hasn't dissipated, it's fine." Rong Yan rubbed his hands excitedly and began speaking incoherently, pointing toward two nearby demon beast hunting teams. "Should we go intercept their demon beasts, or go elsewhere to find the white foxes?!"
Qin Tang was startled. Just a moment ago, others were looking down on them like ants, wanting to crush them, and now they were going to rush in and intercept someone else's prey? That was playing too dirty.
Being the more steady one, Qin Tang said, "Let's go elsewhere to find a white fox to kill."
Qin Bi agreed. Those training in this demon beast spatial dimension were mostly junior cultivators or those who hadn't even entered the threshold, yet their strength varied greatly. Those with good talent who were already junior cultivators could easily crush those who hadn't even started.
One shouldn't be ostentatious; it makes it easier to trip and fall.
Qin Bi said, "Let's keep a low profile!"
"Right," Rong Yan nodded. "Keep a low profile."
Among the group, only Rong Yan was overly excited; the others simply felt a bit more confident. Qin Xun and Jiang Xu ran ahead to scout for white foxes, and the others followed.
As it turned out, the "lucky fat man" Rong Yan's intuition was spot on. A mile away from where Mu Jun's team was fighting, Jiang Xu discovered five white foxes in a small patch of flora amidst the desolate sands.
Jiang Xu stared at them, while Qin Xun went back to call Qin Tang, Rong Yan, and the others.
The group arrived quickly. Qin Bi took her tea bowl and summoned the lightning from the sky. After a cool display of lightning strikes, the result was actually a barrage of fireballs that sent the five medium-sized white foxes scurrying in terror.
One white fox even tried to pounce at her. Qin Bi narrowed her eyes; she wouldn't hesitate to destroy it.
Qin Bi used the tea bowl as a shield, and with a combination of fireballs and lightning, she struck the attacking white fox until it lost its breath.
"Sister, you are mighty!" Qin Lang nearly jumped for joy.
The bean sprout and the two calico cats wandered nearby, uninvolved in the fray.
Jiang Xu gave Qin Bi a thumbs-up. "Impressive."
Qin Tang felt an indescribable sense of gloom. He thought that if Qin Bi had been nurtured properly when she was a child, even if she hadn't brought glory to the Marquis of Qin Yan's manor, the manor wouldn't have fallen into its current state of decline.
After the eldest cousin Qin Yan, the title had vanished.
He couldn't dwell on it; thinking about it only caused heartache.
Rong Yan, Qin Lang, and the others ran up to inspect the demon beasts, finding them incredibly rare. However, demon beasts struck by lightning were full of energy. Rong Yan and Jiang Xu were too embarrassed to take any, while Qin Tang and his brothers clearly protected Qin Bi.
"Put them away!" Rong Yan observed the surroundings warily and turned back. "The crystals and fur of white fox demon beasts are valuable; they can be sold for many spirit stones. If others see them, they will try to rob you."
In the demon beast spatial dimension, killing to steal treasures was extremely common.
Qin Bi was not polite. She didn't put them away; instead, she took out a small teleportation array and forcibly teleported the five white foxes back. She still wanted to kill more demon beasts, and she wouldn't let anyone steal a single one.
In the Prince Rong Manor, Rong Juan was holding his child in the courtyard, enjoying the shade.
A teleportation array appeared in mid-air. With a wave of Rong Juan's hand, the array descended into the front courtyard of the manor. With several "thuds," the demon beasts landed—all of them white foxes. Their fur was excellent, though the coloring was a bit disheveled.
Prince Rong, his concubines, and his children all rushed out.
When they saw they were white fox demon beasts, the illegitimate children showed greed in their eyes.
Rong Juan recognized the teleportation array. The handsome man, holding his child, was slightly surprised. Immediately after, his cold, sharp gaze swept over Prince Rong's concubines and illegitimate children with a look of disdain.
"They belong to my son," Rong Juan said, looking down to coax Rong Yang. "Go find somewhere else to stay cool."
A concubine of Prince Rong chuckled softly. "The child is still small; he won't be able to use so much fur, will he? And as for the demon beast meat, the child hasn't grown teeth yet; his appetite is small, so he can't eat demon beast meat."
"You likely don't know, but my son has a secret stash," Rong Juan said. In a good mood, he didn't mind giving a warning to the restless members of the household. He let out a scoff. "The demon beasts can be sold and converted into spirit stones to be placed in my son's secret stash."
White fox demon beasts were rare. Selling them to amass wealth would make the concubine ache with regret. She glanced at Prince Rong.
Prince Rong looked at Rong Juan. The heir, Rong Juan, was tall and handsome. Standing in the courtyard holding his child, he kept his eyes lowered, coaxing the infant without even looking up. The child had just been startled by the falling demon beasts.
Only when Rong Juan coaxed him gently did the child look around curiously.
