Transmigrating Through the Interstellar: My Wife's Glory and My Honor
Chapter 16: Non-negotiable
Wen Yao cast a faint glance at Luo Yan and frowned, but said nothing.
The fire in Luo Bi's internal organs surged and subsided; it took her quite a while to suppress it. Looking up at Luo Yan's punchable face, she asked with a light laugh, "Can I ask you a question?"
"What?"
Luo Yan's tone was impatient. Now that she held a high status, everyone flattered her whenever she went out, and she walked with impunity within the Luo family. It was just a piece of Red Jade; as long as she wanted it, her grandfather and brothers would find a way to get it for her. She didn't understand why Luo Bi was being so tedious.
Luo Bi sneered, "Do you even have a face?"
Upon hearing this, Luo Yan's expression changed. Luo Bi actually dared to insult her.
"Heh." Wen Yao let out an inexplicable chuckle.
Luo Bi glanced at him and immediately withdrew her gaze.
"Luo Bi, don't go too far," Luo Jun scolded sternly.
Looking back at Luo Yan, the quite pretty girl now had a distorted expression, teeth clenched and eyes glaring as if she were ready to fight to the death. Being highly alert, Luo Bi stepped back two paces to create distance between them.
"You actually dare to curse me? Just wait until I teach you a lesson!" Enraged by her shame, Luo Yan took a step forward, intending to strike.
Luo Bi's eyes narrowed, her gaze as sharp as a knife. Today, if anyone dared to provoke her, she would make them regret ever being born—even if they were blood relatives. In her past life, when her own brother argued with her, he had merely raised a hand to intimidate her, and she had refused to let it go. If she allowed herself to be hit by someone in this life, she might as well stop living.
"That's enough." Wen Yao shouted to stop them. He stood up and said, "Luo Yan, you have no business here. Leave for now."
"I'm not leaving." Ignoring Wen Yao, Luo Yan threw a tantrum toward her brother.
"This is my office," Wen Yao said, growing somewhat annoyed.
"That Red Jade is very important to me; I can't leave." Seeing Wen Yao's deep frown, Luo Yan walked over hesitantly and said coquettishly, "Brother Wen Yao! I'm begging you."
Luo Bi felt a wave of discomfort hearing this. She looked over strangely. What was the situation? Was she planning to seduce him again? Even if a vixen rubbed orchid oil on herself, she'd still reek of flirtatiousness; some habits never die.
How could someone like this share the surname Luo? What an embarrassment.
Wen Yao looked helpless, his gaze falling upon Luo Bi.
"Don't look at me. I absolutely will not give the Red Jade to her. There is no room for negotiation on this matter," Luo Bi stated her position firmly.
"Think about it again. You are all family..." Wen Yao attempted to persuade her.
Luo Bi gave a mocking laugh. "You certainly know how to joke. Do we look like a family to you? Whenever she likes something, regardless of whether others are willing, she demands it with her mouth open, and if she doesn't get it, she even tries to get physical. Is this how your family behaves?"
He hadn't realized she was so sharp-tongued, but how could she not see the situation? Wen Yao smiled, his long fingers tapping the tabletop rhythmically. "Don't take it out on me. I am merely a mediator, acting as a bridge between both parties."
Luo Bi sneered. A member of the same pack actually had the nerve to distance himself. "Sorry, I have things to do. I'm leaving." She called out to Guan Zhuting, intending to depart.
"You can't leave!" Luo Yan let out a piercing scream that startled several people.
*What a piece of work,* Luo Bi thought, casting her a look of pure disgust before turning to continue toward the door.
Luo Yan ran over to grab Luo Bi, but Luo Bi's evasive maneuvers were masterful. She dodged skillfully and swiftly, her eyes filled with contempt as she looked at Luo Yan. She dressed well, yet acted like a common shrew; she had no upbringing whatsoever.
