The Planar Journey of Tibbers the Shadow Bear

Chapter 7: When a Tank Physical Class Faces a Physical Immune Monster

"Good afternoon, viewers. I am reporter Canberra. As you can see, we are here on the food streets of Manhattan, New York. I am currently reporting live for you; please look behind me."

A beautiful reporter holding a microphone was facing the camera, while beside her, crowds of people were running frantically, clutching their heads and fleeing for their lives. The beautiful reporter continued to speak incessantly into her microphone, showing no concern for the crowds rushing past or the people occasionally bumping into her.

As the camera panned, two blurry, massive figures could be seen fighting behind the reporter, accompanied by bursts of explosions and the sound of roaring flames. However, because the camera was focused on the reporter, the distant situation was not very clear to the viewers watching on television.

"Oh! My God! Canberra! Watch out! Get down!!"

Just as Canberra was about to turn around to introduce the distant battle to the audience, she suddenly heard her cameraman shouting loudly at her.

With a sudden shake of the camera, the audience caught a glimpse of a car flying over Canberra's head. Fortunately, the lucky reporter appeared to have escaped without any injury, though she certainly looked a bit disheveled.

Canberra was a special correspondent for a New York television station. She had originally been on the streets of New York conducting routine live interviews regarding the new federal legislation, all in an attempt to boost the station's pitiful ratings!

Everything had been going smoothly, and more than half of the live survey had been completed. Unexpectedly, just as it was nearing its end, a giant green humanoid monster suddenly leaped out of a building. Before Canberra could even react, this massive green monster, covered in bone spikes and protruding ribs, began a spree of slaughter and destruction across the streets.

Initially, Canberra was as panicked as the fleeing crowds around her; her only thought was to save her own life! However, after another green muscular monster dropped from the sky and began fighting the bone-spiked, grayish-green monster, Canberra suddenly realized that she should—and absolutely must—not run away!

Because everything happening right now was massive news! If she could seize this opportunity, promotion, a raise, increased fame, and all sorts of honors would be within her grasp! She would finally be able to escape the awkward and disposable status of being a mere "pretty face" reporter.

In that case, she had to broadcast this even if it cost her her life! She would risk everything to broadcast everything happening here! As for the original survey? To hell with it!

With another shake of the camera, it appeared the cameraman had stood up and readjusted the lens. Canberra stepped back in front of the camera as the image stabilized, turning her body slightly to signal the cameraman to focus on the distant battle.

"Viewers, do you see that? Look, those two monsters up ahead! Oh! My God!"

Canberra screamed. In the midst of the distant battle, one of the two green monsters must have thrown a broken car door, which came whistling through the air toward Canberra!

Fortunately, the door struck a lamppost, which bent under the impact, changing the door's trajectory. It crashed into a nearby shop window, turning the tidy store into a chaotic mess. It was unclear if anyone inside had been injured, but Canberra couldn't afford to care. She simply pushed through the panicked crowd while signaling the cameraman to continue broadcasting the fight, occasionally leaning into the lens to say a few words, never missing an opportunity to increase her fame and screen time!

The bone-spiked Green Giant fighting the Hulk was originally Emil Blonsky. Before today, he had been injected with gamma radiation by the military twice. Although his strength had increased significantly, he was still dissatisfied because, compared to the Hulk's power, it was practically negligible! He wanted more!

Thus, after forcing Dr. Stern (Mr. Blue) to inject him with Hulk's super serum, he finally became what he was now: a massive physique no inferior to the Hulk's, and immense strength!

However, he had not become a monster dominated by rage like the Hulk. He was still Emil Blonsky; his mind remained clear. He felt the massive changes within his body with full consciousness—the immense, endless power! It was an extraordinary sensation of expansion! Emil Blonsky felt that, at this moment, he was a god! He was God! He could master everything!

Therefore, having obtained this new power, he needed to vent it—partly to release the endless energy within him, and partly to let those foolish mortals witness his transcendent strength!

With a roar, Emil Blonsky lunged forward, sending the charging Hulk flying with a single punch. Before the Hulk could hit the ground, Blonsky suddenly exerted more force, rushing forward to grab the Hulk's head and slamming it violently into the ground!

"What? Is this all you've got?"

Stepping on the Hulk's chest, Emil Blonsky laughed disdainfully.

He possessed not only great strength and a clear mind but also the skilled combat techniques honed by years as a military agent! This was something the Hulk, who fought purely on instinct while lost in rage, could not match! Consequently, in the short time since the Hulk had jumped from the plane, he found himself unable to fight back against Blonsky.

"You! You don't deserve this power at all!"

Emil Blonsky grabbed one of the Hulk's legs, swung him to the other side of the street, and grabbed a car to hurl at him. However, the Hulk, having regained his footing, knocked the car away with an elbow.

Emil Blonsky didn't mind. He intended to play with the Hulk for a while, fooling his opponent while simultaneously acclimating to his new strength. If there were anyone more suitable for training, no one would be better than the Hulk!

He grabbed another car and threw it, but unfortunately, the Hulk punched it away again. The car flew like a toy under the Hulk's massive strength, smashing into a distant storefront and exploding violently! Just as Blonsky prepared to try again, the Hulk lunged forward, grabbing him by the waist. The massive force and momentum sent Blonsky's feet off the ground, and the momentum caused both of them to roll into a corner on the other side of the street.

"You piece of trash!"

Using a standard hip-twist counter-tactic, Emil Blonsky not only easily broke free from the Hulk's grasp but also pinned the Hulk beneath him. He gripped the opponent's throat with his left hand and raised his right, and—*Boom!*—a heavy hook slammed hard into the Hulk's jaw.

The Hulk, who possessed strength comparable to his opponent but only knew how to fight with beast-like instinct, was clearly no match for Emil Blonsky, a former KGB agent! Blonsky possessed not only a massive, similar source of power but also a clear mind and incredibly rich combat experience! After a few hooks, the Hulk was already somewhat dazed!

"ROOOOAR!!!"

Just as Emil Blonsky was preparing to follow up with more punches, he heard a beast-like roar from behind him!

When he instinctively turned his head, he saw a flaming toy teddy bear baring its toothy maw and roaring at him. The bear then charged at high speed, accompanied by waves of scorching heat that both Blonsky and the Hulk found unbearably hot. With a single swipe of its claws, the giant bear sent both green giants flying into the street wall, smashing two massive, humanoid-shaped holes into it!

"Oh! Damn it! What the hell is that?"

Blonsky, having been sent flying, was lodged in the crater in the wall. He stared in disbelief at a flaming scratch on his chest; it hurt terribly! This newly appeared flaming teddy bear left him completely confused!

What on earth was this? A flaming toy teddy bear? Oh, God! This damn bear that appeared out of nowhere actually had the audacity to beckon him with its claws? He wouldn't let it get away with this!

After knocking the two green orcs away with a single punch, Tibers tilted its massive, ferocious head and beckoned with a finger! It had been six whole years! From the time it was caught as a pet when Annie was two years old until now, it had been trapped inside a teddy bear for six long years! Now, it finally had a second chance to come out and stretch its legs! Today, it decided to have some real fun! It wouldn't end things in a few moves like it did with that old dragon!

Provoked, Blonsky struggled out of the large hole in the wall, roared, and grabbed a lamppost, charging toward the flaming bear! He no longer cared about the Hulk!

As Blonsky charged, the Hulk also struggled out of the collapsed section of the wall! The Hulk was clearly still in a chaotic, beast-like state; he only knew that Blonsky was an enemy and he had to defeat him! And this flaming toy bear that had just knocked him away was also an enemy—it burned him, and it hurt! It was an enemy! Anything that was an enemy was a target for the Hulk!

Compared to the relatively smaller, bony green giant that Blonsky had become, this taller, more imposing, and flaming toy bear was clearly more provocative and better at drawing the Hulk's hatred!

Thus, the Hulk moved faster than Blonsky, lunging at the toy bear first! Ignoring the pain of the flames burning his skin, he threw punch after punch at the toy bear's large belly! His massive strength dented the bear's stomach repeatedly, creating deep fist marks. Under his assault, more flames erupted from the toy bear's stitched seams and ferocious mouth!

Seeing the Hulk strike first, Blonsky, who was a few steps behind and somewhat stunned, thought for a second or two before finally charging in as well!

He felt it was more reliable to kill this strange, unknown toy bear first! However, he was cautious; seeing the flaming bear, he wasn't stupid enough to charge in like the Hulk and risk being burned. Instead, he raised the steel pole in his hands, roared, and jumped, slamming the hollow steel pole hard against the toy bear's head! This single blow actually dented the opponent's head!

*It should be dead now, right?* Blonsky thought, looking at the flaming toy bear whose head had been flattened. Even if he didn't know what kind of monster it was, surely an attack on a vital spot like the head would be fatal? But just to be safe, he raised the steel pole again and slammed it several more times against the monster bear's head! *Die already!*

Only after the lamppost snapped did Blonsky stop. Looking at the monster bear with its dented head, and then at the idiot Hulk who was still relentlessly attacking the bear's belly, he was momentarily unsure of what to do next. Should he continue attacking to tear the bear to pieces, or turn back to kill the Hulk?

"ROOOOAR!!"

While Blonsky was dazed and the Hulk continued his assault, the toy bear let out a loud roar and, with the same flaming giant claws, swiped once, sending both green giants flying again! As they were knocked away, the terrifying dents on the toy bear's head and belly instantly inflated back to normal, as if they had never been attacked at all.

*Hmph!* Annie was currently sitting on a billboard, swinging her legs and curling her lip in disdain as she watched the distant battle!

She knew perfectly well that her little bear, Tibers, was playing with the two green giants. No one knew Tibers' strength better than her! However, since Tibers wanted to play, she would let it. Besides, Annie hated those two green monsters too! She would let Tibers have its fun first!

Tibers was a Shadow Bear. Its true form was actually pure shadow-flame energy; the outer layer of toy bear skin was merely magical leather that Annie had forcibly sewn onto it! This leather was not just a container for Tibers, but also a sealing tool that constantly restrained it! Under the dual effect of this tool and the contract, it could only transform from a motionless teddy bear into the massive, ferocious, and agile flaming bear Tibers when Annie permitted it!

*These two idiots! Are they green ogres? Are they brainless? Do they really think they can deal with me using fists and iron bars? How ridiculous!* Tibers opened its wide maw and nonchalantly patted its belly with its flaming claws! Their attacks hadn't even scratched the magical enchanted leather that bound it, let alone its shadow essence!

Everyone in the continent of Valoran knew that any shadow creature was immune to physical attacks! While destroying a shadow creature wasn't easy, it wasn't impossible either. Whether it was a shadow creature, a magical creature, or an elemental creature, the best way to deal with them was to use magic. It could be any non-immune school of magic, or of course, magical weapons or temporarily enchanted weapons!

However, it was obvious that these two green giants were pure physical "tanks" and "physical DPS." They had no magical offensive capabilities, no magical weapons, and certainly no group of healers or druids to provide enchantments or buffs!

From a gaming perspective, it wasn't hard to see: although the attacks from the two green giants, Hulk and Blonsky, made loud noises when they hit the toy bear, they were actually all *Immune! Immune! Immune!* Whether they used fists or swung lampposts, the result was always immunity!

Yet, the toy bear's counterattacks could tear their flesh, and the shadow flames could scorch them painfully! Although this damage wasn't extremely high compared to the green giants' powerful vitality, it would still add up. No matter how high their defense or how strong their life force—even if they were the "undying cockroaches"—facing this shadow-flame creature that had appeared out of nowhere, they could only be ruthlessly swatted away by Tibers. Their ultimate fate would be to be pinned under a flaming bear claw after a series of strikes.

After a thirty-minute battle (or rather, a beating), the knock-off Green Giant, Blonsky, had already lost consciousness under Tibers' massive claws and flames. Because Blonsky still possessed human consciousness, the excruciating, soul-searing pain of the flames triggered his body's automatic protection mechanism, causing him to fall into a protective coma!

Meanwhile, the authentic, rage-driven, factory-original Green Hulk was curled up, clutching his head in a crater, motionless. He only let out a few grunts when Tibers attacked him. Since he couldn't do anything to the shadow bear, and the shadow bear couldn't finish him off immediately, he decided to just leave it at that!

The beast-mode Hulk thought: *Since their attacks can't actually break my bones, even if the claws hurt and the flames are annoying, it's not enough to kill me! And since my countless counterattacks can't touch them either, I'll just stay like this. Let it beat me up; maybe it'll just leave on its own in a while?*

This was the posture displayed by the beast-mode Hulk after backing down. Even a stray dog will tuck its tail and act submissive after losing a fight; there was nothing strange about a Green Giant curling up and refusing to fight. Could shame and dignity put food on the table? He was green from head to toe anyway; who cared about his reputation? Moreover, the Hulk's mind was currently dominated by beastly instincts! So, for now, this would suffice!
