The Group's Favorite Little Fatty: I Have Four Big Shot Daddies

Chapter 2: One Must Accumulate Blessings for Oneself

The space was entirely white. She wanted to move forward but kept hitting walls; there was nothing in this ten-foot radius. After fumbling around for a long time, she touched a hidden door, inside of which lay a booklet.

Opening it to read, Ye Qianning suddenly realized that this was a portable space. Plants grown within the space could grow at an accelerated rate.

However, this space needed to be "nurtured."

Only by nurturing it well would the land expand. As for how to nurture it...

It required accumulating "blessings." The space was like a living organism; when you helped others and received their sincere gratitude, the space’s blessing value would increase.

Opening up a plot of land required consuming one hundred points of blessing value, and the amount of blessing value gained depended on the person being helped.

"What the hell—"

Ye Qianning almost laughed.

In her past life, she was no saint. Because she could understand the voices of animals, she had been sent to a secret base for training from a young age and was drafted into a global organization of super-powered individuals by the age of twelve.

By the time she reached her twenties, she had stolen top-secret intelligence from many countries and even destroyed several of them.

Now, to be asked to do good deeds? Was this because she had committed too many sins in her past life, and she had been reborn to serve a sentence?

But if she didn't accumulate blessings for herself, she feared she wouldn't live long. Her body was tightly linked to the space; the better the space was nurtured, the longer she could live.

The way this space required nurturing was truly bizarre. Blessings? Hah!

They say that when heaven opens a window for you, it closes another.

She had only lived to twenty-two in her past life. Her supernatural abilities consumed her body's mental energy, and once that was exhausted, death followed... Those who possessed such abilities never lived long.

Ye Qianning emerged from the space and stared blankly at the top of the bed. Was being reborn with dual-element abilities a blessing or a curse?

The next day, Ye Qianning was already able to get out of bed and walk. Her complexion was ruddier than it had been in the past few days, and Granny Si, delighted, brewed her another large bowl of medicine early in the morning.

"The capital's yamen is reliable after all; the doctor they hired truly has a miraculous touch," Granny Si said, stirring the medicinal soup with a spoon, full of praise.

After waking up from her sleep, Ye Qianning felt her body was indeed much lighter, likely because she had triggered the space yesterday. However, to return to normal, she had to first open up a plot of land in the space.

How was she supposed to get blessing value?

"Little Fatty, don't just stare blankly. Finish your meal and then drink your medicine," Granny Si said, putting down the spoon and picking up a steamed bun to hand to her.

Ye Qianning took the bun, took a small bite, and looked up. "Granny Si, I'm all better now. After we eat, can we go out and take a look?"

"That won't do. Your illness has only just shown signs of improvement; it's not suitable for you to go out."

"Let's just go out and see. I heard the capital is very lively, Granny Si..." Ye Qianning acted spoiled in a soft, sweet voice. Who told her she was just a little kid now?

Granny Si really didn't want her wandering around, but she couldn't resist the cute child's pestering. "You little girl, you've got me figured out."

Ye Qianning’s little scheme succeeded, and she giggled. "Granny Si is the best."

"Drink your medicine first." Before her smile could fade, Granny Si brought the medicine to her.

Ye Qianning’s flower-like smiling face instantly collapsed, and she muttered, "I'm already better, I don't need to drink medicine anymore."

Having been force-fed herbal medicine for several days in a row, she felt like she was being made sick even if she wasn't.

"If you don't drink it, you can't go out today," Granny Si said.

Ye Qianning frowned, staring at the pitch-black medicinal soup with deep resentment. Gritting her teeth, she picked it up with her chubby little hands and downed it in one gulp.

Granny Si revealed a doting smile and thoughtfully took out a handkerchief to wipe the corners of her mouth.

Ye Qianning felt that compared to her mother, she was closer to Granny Si.

From the moment the original owner had memories, Granny Si had been taking care of her. The bits and pieces of their past together made a strange, warm emotion rise within her for the person in front of her.
