The Blessed Wife with a Spatial Dimension Travels Back to the 1980s
Chapter 15: Replace Nan Xing with "He
When leaving, she said to Nanxing’s father, "The child is still young; he needs a safe environment. Regardless of how the parents are, he is, after all, your own biological son."
As a mother herself, she had never known that such a biological mother could exist in this world.
"Thank you, teacher. I will. I will definitely protect Nanxing well from now on." Wen Hao was also full of regret.
He never imagined that Jiang Li would actually lay a hand on Nanxing.
If she had hit Nanshuang, he could have imagined it, but Nanxing—he never would have thought of that.
It was impossible for their son to continue living with her.
That night, Wen Hao stayed at the hospital to watch over Nanxing. Nanshuang was home alone, and Wen Hao was worried, wanting to have Aunt Yu come over to look after her, but Nanshuang didn't allow it.
She even demonstrated the results of her recent martial arts training by crushing a stone with her bare hands, which finally put Wen Hao’s mind at ease.
The next day, Nanshuang went straight to school.
As for the situation with Nanxing, she had her father; she believed he would handle it well.
Given his nature of loving his children, there would likely be an additional member in the family soon.
Just as she had thought, Wen Hao and Jiang Li began to negotiate.
Jiang Li still didn't want to give up the child, but Wen Hao held a fatal piece of leverage over her.
"You’ve always wanted to know where he is, haven't you? I’ll tell you, but Nanxing stays with me from now on." Wen Hao brought out his trump card.
Jiang Li’s eyes lit up. "Where is he?" If it weren't for his family being so poor or something happening to them back then, how could she have ever married Wen Hao?
And her divorce from Wen Hao was, to some extent, because of him. From the mouths of some people who had been rehabilitated, she had learned a few things about him.
He had remained single all these years, waiting for her.
But what about her?
She had married and even given birth to someone else's child; she wasn't worthy of him.
Yet, there was a thought in her heart: as long as she was single now, he loved her so much that he surely wouldn't mind.
This was the main reason why Jiang Li had been constantly clamoring for a divorce.
Wen Hao, however, had never loved her. If she hadn't schemed against him back then, he never would have married her.
"Nanxing stays with me." This was Wen Hao’s demand.
As long as she agreed, he didn't mind telling her about that man's situation.
Furthermore, it would be better for the children's growth once she left this place.
He hadn't told her before because he wanted to watch her make a fool of herself.
Besides, that man was indeed 'deeply affectionate' toward her.
Since she wouldn't live a good life, then let a bitter life properly season her existence.
As long as she had no ties to the children, he didn't care if she lived or died.
It wasn't that he hadn't tried to live a proper life with her in the past, or that he hadn't warned her that the man was unreliable.
Now, it truly lived up to the old saying: good words cannot persuade a ghost destined to die.
Jiang Li thought for a good while, and eventually, she agreed to his conditions.
"Nanxing can stay with you, but they must acknowledge me as their mother in the future." Jiang Li was still playing her little games.
"That depends on the children themselves." He wouldn't stop them, "If they don't acknowledge you, then don't go looking for trouble for yourself." He had to lay down the hard truth, "If I find out you're causing trouble, then it won't just be you who suffers, but also your Jiang family, including him."
Jiang Li didn't know what she thought of, but her whole body trembled.
"Fine." She believed that Nanxing would definitely acknowledge her.
What the two of them didn't know was that Nanxing had woken up at that moment and heard every word his parents said.
He shed tears that were both painful and happy.
Jiang Li ultimately stayed at the hospital to care for Nanxing until he was discharged.
During this time, she kept playing the role of a loving mother, wanting to deepen her bond with Nanxing.
Nanxing might be young, but he wasn't stupid.
He could see clearly and distinguish who was sincere and who was fake.
His father loved him sincerely; his mother’s love for him had an agenda.
After getting his address, Jiang Li cried, and after crying, she smiled.
She began to prepare to go find him.
She sold what needed to be sold and packed what needed to be taken.
She went to find him with the intention of spending the rest of her life with him.
Jiang Li’s departure also brought a sense of clarity to the Wen family.
"Sister, don't you feel any reluctance?" In truth, Nanxing didn't feel any reluctance either; on the contrary, he felt a sense of anticipation, as if he hoped his mother would leave quickly.
Nanshuang glanced at Nanxing, who was sitting blankly under the eaves. "If you feel reluctant, you can leave with her." As for Nanxing, she herself couldn't bring herself to hate him.
But in the original owner's emotions, there was an undeniable hatred toward Nanxing.
Hatred for his lack of conscience, hatred for how he treated her.
"Sister," Nanxing called out, feeling wronged.
He could tell that his sister didn't love him anymore; she didn't like him the way she used to.
"Don't call me, I'm busy."
Jiang Li was gone, and Wen Hao also felt much lighter.
"Liangzi, I plan to make another trip to Guangzhou. Are you coming?" After the goods were sold, Wen Hao began to plan his second trip to Guangzhou.
"I'm going. Wherever Brother Hao goes, I go." He had decided to follow Brother Hao for the rest of his life.
"You, you should also settle things with Aunt Yu." Hearing that he was coming along, Wen Hao smiled and changed the subject.
"I want to, but not here." Liangzi was a man of foresight; he didn't want to be with Aunt Yu here. He wanted to take her to live in another city.
This was the main reason why he was willing to work so hard.
Wen Hao understood their situation. "Alright, let's pull off something big this time. If it succeeds, you can take Aunt Yu and live in another city, far away from all this gossip."
Truly, a kind word warms three winters, while a malicious word chills one in the heat of June.
"I'll listen to Brother Hao."
Half a month later, Nanxing’s health improved, and he returned to school.
His homeroom teacher was a kind person and didn't tell the classmates about Nanxing’s true situation, only saying that Nanxing had been sick and needed to rest at home for a while.
So, when Nanxing returned, his classmates only asked how he was feeling; not a single person mentioned his family situation, which showed they didn't know.
In early June, Wen Hao and Liangzi boarded the train to Guangzhou.
This time, the two planned to do something big. Something big wouldn't be well-received in the county, so they would go elsewhere.
This place was somewhere Wen Hao had long wanted to step into.
The provincial capital.
He heard that the brothers who had been with him back then were doing quite well in the provincial capital.
Before going to Guangzhou, Wen Hao first made a trip to the provincial capital to meet with his brothers.
In the end, he chose a partner.
Of course, Wen Hao didn't have 100% trust in these people and would always keep a backup plan.
The main reason he didn't bring Liangzi along this time was because he had come alone.
After reaching an agreement, he picked up Liangzi and started for Guangzhou.
Along the way, the two were quite relaxed. After all, it was a state-run industry; very few people dared to mess with it.
Even if there were robbers, they wouldn't dare target the train.
Thieves, however, were inevitable.
But this time they were dealing with large items, so they weren't afraid of thieves, because they couldn't be stolen.
Development outside was much more advanced than in the county, and even doing business could be done openly and honestly.
Furthermore, they didn't intend to bring these large items back to the county this time, but to Tong Province; the roads there were much more convenient than in the county.
The new book is very delicate, so I ask the big bosses to water it often.
Asking for votes, asking for tips, asking for collections.
Don't stop the recommendation votes...
