Sword Emperor of the Nine Realms
Chapter 6: Villain! Scoundrel!
"Green-skinned dog, I, Chu, have come to collect my medicinal pills. This is not something a mere servant like you can manage. A dog should just stand quietly to the side; your master hasn't said a word, so how dare you speak to me?"
Chu Fengmian glanced at Lin Gou, his words dripping with mockery.
Lin Gou’s face was covered in scars from past battles, which had caused much of the skin to necrotize and turn a greenish hue. Because of this, many in the Lin Mansion secretly called him "Green-skinned dog" behind his back.
However, everyone only dared to say it in private. No one dared to face Lin Gou directly; after all, Lin Gou was backed by the deputy steward of the Lin Mansion’s outer court—the true number one person in the outer court. Offending him to his face was never a good idea.
"Has this Chu Fengmian lost his mind from taking too many pills today? He’s actually cursing Lin Gou directly?"
Many outer court disciples of the Lin Mansion were shocked to see this scene.
Chu Fengmian’s usual demeanor was such that he wouldn't even dare to speak loudly in front of Lin Gou, yet today, he had started by cursing him immediately.
One had to know that those three words were what Lin Gou hated most.
Sure enough, upon hearing the words "green-skinned dog," Lin Gou’s expression changed instantly, and a surge of rage welled up in his heart.
If they weren't inside the Lin Mansion, Lin Gou would likely have attacked immediately.
"What? I call you a dog, and you should just accept it obediently. I am the Grand Steward of this outer court; calling you a dog is a favor to you."
Seeing Lin Gou’s expression shift violently, Chu Fengmian sneered repeatedly.
As he spoke, Chu Fengmian strode forward, walking directly up to Lin Gou.
"Get out of the way. You have no qualifications to enter this Spirit Medicine Hall."
He intended to make Lin Gou move aside.
"Chu Fengmian, do you really think you’re the Grand Steward of the Lin Mansion’s outer court? You want me to move aside for you?"
Lin Gou looked at Chu Fengmian, furious and indignant.
He couldn't quite figure out what was going on with Chu Fengmian, but if he were to yield to a piece of trash like him today, he would never be able to show his face in the Lin Mansion again.
"I’m standing right here today. Let’s see what ability you have to make me move!"
Lin Gou stood in front of Chu Fengmian with a cold sneer.
Within the Lin Mansion, he couldn't initiate an attack on Chu Fengmian, but he stood his ground. With his cultivation at the fourth level of the Bone Tempering Realm, he wanted to see what Chu Fengmian could possibly do.
"That’s what you said. Looking for a beating?"
Chu Fengmian’s eyes flickered, and his figure suddenly lunged forward, reaching Lin Gou in the blink of an eye.
"What?"
The speed was so fast that even Lin Gou couldn't react.
Chu Fengmian’s hand had already grabbed Lin Gou’s clothes, and with a sudden burst of force—
Lin Gou was thrown directly out of the Spirit Medicine Hall by Chu Fengmian, slamming heavily onto the floor and shattering several stone tiles.
"Insubordination. As the Grand Steward of the Lin Mansion’s outer court, it is my duty to discipline the servants on behalf of the mansion."
Chu Fengmian glanced at Lin Gou and said coldly.
"Such speed!"
"Is this Chu Fengmian? With this kind of speed, even someone at the fifth level of the Bone Tempering Realm might not be able to achieve it."
"And look, Chu Fengmian’s strength—to be able to grab Lin Gou and throw him away requires at least the strength of the third level of the Bone Tempering Realm. Since when did Chu Fengmian have such power?"
"Could it be that Chu Fengmian was just hiding his strength all this time? And now he’s finally unleashed it?"
Many outer court disciples watched this scene in disbelief. Since when had Chu Fengmian’s strength become so terrifying?
They had been skeptical of the rumors about Chu Fengmian defeating Cao Dahai, as Cao Dahai’s strength was such that any random disciple of the Lin Mansion could easily defeat him.
It was normal for Chu Fengmian to defeat Cao Dahai, but Lin Gou was a genuine outer court disciple, considered to be in the middle tier of the Lin Mansion’s outer court.
To be thrown out of the Spirit Medicine Hall by Chu Fengmian without even being able to resist was simply inconceivable.
"Damn it! Chu Fengmian, do you dare to have a real fight with me? Stop with the sneak attacks!"
Lin Gou climbed up from the ground. As a martial artist, the fall didn't cause any serious injuries, but being covered in dust made him look extremely pathetic.
Being thrown out of the Spirit Medicine Hall in front of so many disciples was an absolute humiliation for Lin Gou.
"Oh? It seems the lesson wasn't enough."
Chu Fengmian glanced at Lin Gou, a hint of killing intent appearing in his eyes.
Lin Gou was a lapdog raised by the Lin Mansion’s outer court to target him. Today, Chu Fengmian would cripple this dog to let those in the outer court understand that the Chu Fengmian of today was no longer the Chu Fengmian of the past.
"In the Lin Mansion, those who commit insubordination shall die!"
Chu Fengmian spat out the cold words.
His figure moved again, covering the dozen-meter distance in an instant, and he was once again in front of Lin Gou.
This time, Lin Gou was prepared. He had anticipated Chu Fengmian’s speed, and the moment Chu Fengmian struck, Lin Gou threw a punch at him.
The Lin Mansion’s Yellow-grade mid-tier martial art: Lin’s Tyrant Fist.
Lin Gou had received many benefits from following the deputy steward, and this Yellow-grade mid-tier martial art was something only those at the fifth level of the Bone Tempering Realm and above were supposed to practice.
That Lin Gou had learned it while only at the fourth level was clearly due to his connection with the deputy steward.
The punch was extremely overbearing, a strike of pure, extreme power aimed at Chu Fengmian’s chest. If it landed, he would be lucky to survive with half his life gone.
"Chu Fengmian, die! So what if you’ve opened your spirit meridians now? The gap between the third and fourth levels of the Bone Tempering Realm is not something you can cross!"
"You’d better just stay a cripple!"
Lin Gou’s mouth curled into an arrogant smile.
If this punch hit Chu Fengmian’s body, at the very least, his spirit meridians would be shattered, and the spirit energy he had just recovered would be wasted.
"Is that so?"
Chu Fengmian smiled.
The moment the punch struck Chu Fengmian’s body, his form suddenly shattered.
An afterimage!
The Chu Fengmian that Lin Gou had just hit was merely an afterimage.
"What?"
This sudden change left Lin Gou unable to adapt. Almost simultaneously, Chu Fengmian kicked him.
"Bang!"
Chu Fengmian held nothing back with this kick. Lin Gou’s body flew through the air and slammed into the wall of a courtyard.
Lying on the ground, Lin Gou spat out a mouthful of blood, nearly unconscious.
"What is Chu Fengmian doing?"
Many people watched as Chu Fengmian walked toward the fallen Lin Gou.
Under the astonished gazes of the crowd, Chu Fengmian’s foot stepped down onto Lin Gou’s right arm.
"Didn't you want to cripple me? Today, I’ll cripple you first!"
As he spoke, Chu Fengmian stomped down hard.
*Crack.*
With a crisp sound, Lin Gou’s right arm was crushed.
"Ah!"
Lin Gou’s scream chilled the hearts of all the surrounding disciples.
Since when did Chu Fengmian possess such ruthless methods?
It wasn't just the right arm; next, Lin Gou’s left arm and both legs were snapped by Chu Fengmian one by one.
Only when Lin Gou fainted did Chu Fengmian kick him away. Two outer court disciples ran over from the distance and hurriedly carried Lin Gou away.
"Ruthless, truly ruthless."
"The Lin Mansion’s outer court is about to change. Chu Fengmian has truly grown up."
"Chu Fengmian is worthy of having the bloodline of the previous Mansion Master; truly, a tiger father has no dog for a son."
All the Lin Mansion disciples watched with shock and awe as Chu Fengmian walked into the Spirit Medicine Hall.
