Naruto: Living in Konoha, My Name is Uzumaki Menma
Chapter 1: Reborn in Konoha, but My Name is Uzumaki Menma
"Hahaha! Fake! It’s all fake!"
"There is no Uchiha Madara in this world! No Sage of Six Paths! And certainly no Otsutsuki Kaguya!"
Under the scarlet blood moon, in the center of the Fourth Shinobi World War battlefield, Uzumaki Menma stood atop the head of the black Nine-Tails, laughing wildly while surrounded by the Allied Shinobi Forces of eighty thousand.
The many powerhouses of the shinobi world below wore grave expressions. Over the past two years, they had grown accustomed to this madman who kept claiming that "this world is fake."
After his wild laughter subsided, Uzumaki Menma removed the white three-eyed fox mask from his face, feeling the rhythmic throbbing of his transplanted Sharingan and the sense of rejection from the world itself.
Fifteen years had passed since he transmigrated into this world.
As a transmigrator, he had originally thought he was Uzumaki Naruto, but he turned out to be Uzumaki Menma. With his parents, Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina, both still alive, Menma realized that the world he was in was nothing more than a fake "Limited Tsukuyomi" world.
To find a way out, he had spent the last decade or so constantly growing stronger, collecting various Kekkei Genkai and secret techniques. He had even transplanted a pair of Three-Tomoe Sharingan into himself and subdued the black Nine-Tails, becoming a powerhouse at the Super Kage level.
Yet, no matter how hard he searched, he could find no trace or legend of Uchiha Madara, the Sage of Six Paths, or Otsutsuki Kaguya in this world.
And so, Uzumaki Menma unleashed a "Great Spiraling Ring" on each of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, triggering the Fourth Shinobi World War.
The Five Great Shinobi Villages assembled an Allied Shinobi Force of eighty thousand, and Menma took the opportunity to reveal the truth about this world.
Regardless of how many of the eighty thousand shinobi believed him, this fake world had already begun to reject him.
Feeling the rejection of the "Limited Tsukuyomi World" growing stronger, Uzumaki Menma looked at the white shimmer appearing on his body with a pleasant surprise.
He was going to leave this world.
He just didn't know which point in time in the real Naruto world he would wake up in, or if it would already be the Infinite Tsukuyomi of the late Fourth Shinobi World War.
"This is a parting gift for this world." Uzumaki Menma’s right hand condensed a small, dark purple energy sphere. At its center was high-density dark-attribute chakra, and on the outer edge, a ring of Wind Release chakra formed a star-like halo around it.
As the Great Spiraling Ring descended, white light shot into the sky, and a massive explosion swallowed more than half of the battlefield and tens of thousands of shinobi!
Uzumaki Menma dissipated along with the white light.
————————
Konoha Year 51, October 10th, night.
In a secret delivery room filled with barriers in the forest outside Konoha Hidden Village, Uzumaki Menma slowly opened his eyes.
"As expected of the Yellow Flash."
"But what will you do now?"
A voice rang out from very close by.
Uzumaki Menma widened his eyes and saw a man in a tiger-striped mask holding him in one hand.
He tilted his head slightly and saw Namikaze Minato holding a golden-haired infant in his arms.
"Minato!" On the bed not far away, Uzumaki Kushina wailed.
'The Night of the Nine-Tails?'
'Wait, if Namikaze Minato is holding Naruto, then who am I?'
Before he could think further, the explosive tags left by the masked man detonated, blasting Namikaze Minato out of the room.
In the instant of the explosion, Uchiha Obito took Menma and Kushina into the Kamui dimension.
"Menma!" Inside the Kamui dimension, Kushina struggled to get up, but she was powerless from just having given birth.
Uchiha Obito, wearing the tiger-striped mask, threw out two kunai attached to chains, pinning Kushina to the spot.
He then looked down at the infant in his hand.
"Not crying or making a fuss, huh." Uchiha Obito suddenly felt that killing this infant just like that would be quite boring.
*Shinra Tensei!* (A bag of rice for this floor!)
He wanted to make Teacher Minato feel the pain of losing his loved ones!
Raising this child to be a villain and then having him destroy Konoha?
That sounded like a fun game.
Thinking about the Fourth Hokage’s two sons killing each other in a dozen years or so, the corners of Uchiha Obito’s mouth beneath the tiger-striped mask couldn't help but curl up slightly.
'Though, keeping him by my side to raise him for a dozen years is too slow.'
Obito didn't want to play house with a child.
And so, Uchiha Obito glanced at Kushina-sensei before his body began to be swallowed by Kamui.
When he reappeared, he had arrived at an orphanage on the outskirts of Konoha Village.
"Menma, is it?" Uchiha Obito looked at the infant, who was staring at him with a pair of large, azure-blue eyes, recalling the name Kushina-sensei had shouted earlier.
After leaving a Kamui coordinate on Menma and writing his name on a piece of paper, Uchiha Obito placed the swaddled Menma at the entrance of the orphanage.
Uchiha Obito was confident that he wouldn't let Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina live to see tomorrow.
"Ten years from now, I will come for you."
After saying this, Uchiha Obito vanished into the Kamui dimension.
'No, at least knock on the door for me!' Watching Obito leave just like that and leave him at the orphanage entrance to catch the cold wind, Menma felt like breaking down.
The cold night wind whistled against his face, but he was just a newborn infant with no ability to move and not a shred of chakra in his body. He could only move his mouth and let out a loud wail.
BOOM!
In the distance, within Konoha Village, a massive Nine-Tailed Demon Fox was summoned and began to wreak havoc.
In an instant, the entire Konoha Village was alarmed. Many ordinary people, awakened from their sleep, fled frantically toward the village's emergency shelters, while the shinobi rushed to the front lines, attempting to stop the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox.
"Director, why is it so noisy outside? Did something happen in the village?" A childish voice rang out at the orphanage entrance.
*Creeeak—*
The door opened, and Yakushi Nonō, wearing a black and white nun's habit, walked out with a gray-haired child.
"Oh my!" Seeing the crying infant on the ground at the entrance, Yakushi Nonō hurried over and picked him up.
"Is this an abandoned baby?" Kabuto walked up from behind, looking at the infant who had stopped crying in the director's arms, and looked around.
Yakushi Nonō checked the swaddling clothes and found a crumpled note.
"Menma... is that his name?" Yakushi Nonō whispered to herself.
In the direction of Konoha Village, a massive black shadow loomed in the night, and the terrifying pressure could be felt from far away.
Looking at those nine tails, Yakushi Nonō, who had participated in many wars and gathered intelligence in various shinobi villages, had already guessed that it might be a Jinchūriki gone out of control.
She hurriedly told Yakushi Kabuto to wake up the children in the orphanage, preparing to take them to the nearest emergency shelter.
It wasn't until the next day, after Yakushi Nonō had settled the children and gone to the village to collect supplies, that she saw the severely damaged village and the villagers grieving over the loss of their loved ones.
After much inquiry, she finally learned of the Nine-Tails incident from the previous night and the news that the Fourth Hokage and his wife had died in battle.
