"Who have I offended?"
"Is it targeting me!? Or the Tiger Head Gang!?"
Looking at the figure that had suddenly appeared in the room, Scoundrel Liu'er's mind raced, considering every possibility.
In almost a single breath, his two scoundrel lackeys collapsed one after another.
This caused Scoundrel Liu'er to gasp. Although his two followers had not yet entered the martial path, they were experienced fighters with ruthless methods; they were significantly stronger than the average person.
Yet, they had lost their combat effectiveness in an instant!
The newcomer's strength was terrifying!
"Run!"
Liu'er's first instinct was to flee.
Though he had entered the initial stages of the martial path, limitations in talent and resources meant he had not yet reached the perfection of the first level of Blood and Qi. Against ordinary people, he held an overwhelming advantage, but against a true martial expert, his current level was insufficient.
Using his two lackeys to distract the opponent, Liu'er lunged toward the nearest window. With his physique, a full-force leap was enough to smash through the window.
Tiger Run Alley was a street serving as a stronghold for the Tiger Head Gang. Many small-time leaders and scoundrels like him lived in the surrounding area.
As long as he could run out, scream for help, and hold out for a while, he would immediately receive a response.
By then, even if the opponent had already reached the second level of Blood and Qi, they would definitely be unable to do anything to him!
Chen Ping'an had just swept one scoundrel aside with a horizontal strike. Seeing Liu'er about to burst through the window, his hand moved swiftly to his waist, and a flying locust stone fell into his palm.
With a forceful flick of his Yin hand, the stone was hurled out violently.
*Whoosh!*
Just as Liu'er was mid-leap, he suddenly felt a heavy blow to the base of his skull at the Dazhui point. The powerful impact caused his vision to go black. His previously unstoppable momentum faltered and deformed.
*Bang!*
The window shattered, and Liu'er successfully burst through. Normally, he should have rolled and quickly stood up, but the heavy blow to the back of his head caused his movements to falter, and he crashed straight onto the ground.
"Oh no!"
Liu'er was terrified. He struggled to crawl up, but halfway through his movement, a foot slammed heavily onto his back.
*Thud!*
The massive force slammed Liu'er's body hard against the ground. The intense impact felt as if his chest were about to burst. In an instant, his back burned as if struck by a thousand-pound sledgehammer.
"Lord, have mercy! Lord, have mercy!"
Survival instinct drove Liu'er to beg for his life repeatedly.
However, his pleas had no effect.
The noise from the broken window might attract attention. To prevent any variables arising from delay, Chen Ping'an acted decisively, stomping down heavily once more—this time, onto the cervical vertebrae at the back of Liu'er's neck.
*Crack!*
The immense force caused Liu'er's cervical vertebrae to snap instantly.
Just as his scream was about to erupt, Chen Ping'an's foot followed up, forcing his mouth shut for good.
Liu'er's eyes were bloodshot and wide, desperately trying to see Chen Ping'an's face.
"Ugh... ugh..."
He wanted to say something, but he could say nothing, only letting out muffled whimpers.
Chen Ping'an raised his foot, intending to end Liu'er's life. But just as his foot was lifted, he seemed to think of something and lowered it gently. He leaned down and grabbed Liu'er by the hair.
"Ugh... ugh..."
Liu'er's eyes were filled with despair. In these few short breaths, the opponent's ruthlessness and decisiveness had exceeded his imagination. It wasn't just experience, but the opponent's terrifying strength!
To achieve this level, the opponent had to be at least a martial expert at the level of Little Tiger Lord!
Liu'er couldn't understand why such a figure would strike him!
Was it someone from another gang!?
The Wild Wolf Gang!? Are they planning to move against the Tiger Head Gang?
How would they dare?
Intense pain made Liu'er's head feel as if it were exploding, but his fierce resentment kept his mind racing. Just as he was thinking frantically, the man in the mask removed his hood.
Beneath the mask was a clean, fair face, with a hint of scholarly elegance in his brow.
In that instant, Liu'er's pupils shrank violently, as if frozen. A moment later, his face filled with shock, and he began to whimper uncontrollably.
"Ugh... ugh..."
"If you had bullied me, you might have survived today. But you bullied Nannan. I'm sorry..."
With one hand gripping Liu'er's hair, Chen Ping'an slammed his other hand violently against Liu'er's face.
"Then you die!"
"Ugh... ugh..."
Liu'er's expression went nearly mad, but no matter how he struggled, he could not control his body.
"Liu-ye, it's time to go!"
Chen Ping'an gripped Liu'er's neck with both hands.
*Crack!*
*Thud!*
Liu'er's corpse fell lifelessly to the ground.
Watching Liu'er die before him, Chen Ping'an realized his mental state was much better than the last time. There was no fear or sense of unease.
As expected, killing is something one gets used to after the first time!
He leaned down to loot the body, pulling a black cloth bag from Liu'er's clothes—the very one he had snatched from Chen Erya earlier that day.
Having finished that, and noting that the two in the room still had a breath of life left, Chen Ping'an put his mask back on, rushed into the room, and ended their lives with one kick each.
Chen Ping'an did not forget to loot them as well. He searched both of them and then quickly scoured the room, managing to collect some silver.
Walking out of the courtyard, Chen Ping'an looked at Liu'er's corpse.
He noticed a millstone in the yard, likely used for strength training. After a moment's thought, he lifted the small, half-human-sized stone, stepped forward, and smashed it heavily onto the body.
To be safe, it was best to destroy any traces on the corpse!
After finishing this, Chen Ping'an tidied up slightly, wiped the blood from his feet, and quietly leaped out of the courtyard.
His luck was good; although the breaking window had made some noise, it hadn't attracted the attention of the neighbors. Or rather, people might have noticed, but they didn't dare come out to check, fearing they would invite trouble upon themselves.
Leaving Liu'er's home, Chen Ping'an did not go straight home. Instead, he detoured to the Great Kui Tree to the east of his house. Not far from the Great Kui Tree was a pile of rubble.
Just in case, Chen Ping'an did not plan to bring tonight's haul, including the black cloth bag, back to his house.
Therefore, he intended to hide these things under the rubble. The stones in the pile were quite large; an ordinary child could not move them, and adults would not come around moving such stones. Placing them here was undoubtedly safe for the short term.
Chen Ping'an moved the stones; with his strength, it was incredibly easy. After clearing the stones, he dug a small hole, placed tonight's findings inside, covered them with soil, and then piled the stones back on top.
Having finished everything, Chen Ping'an checked his surroundings. Confirming no one was nearby, he left the area.
When performing dangerous deeds, one must be careful in all things!
