Both sides coexisted peacefully until a more cautious Uchiha clansman detected signs of chakra on the man and activated his Sharingan to cast Genjutsu on him.

Unexpectedly, the moment the man saw the Sharingan, it was as if a switch had been flipped, and he began to violently attack the patrol members.

Under his powerful Taijutsu attacks, two weaker Uchiha clansmen had their chests pierced on the spot and died instantly.

Seeing they were no match, the others immediately contacted the clan. The Clan Head dispatched the then-rising star, Uchiha Ryuei, to apprehend the perpetrator.

"Was Kaguya Jousuke mentally stable back then?" Uchiha Gin couldn't help but interrupt. Ryuei didn't mind and continued.

By the time Uchiha Ryuei led his squad to the scene, it was already midnight. Following the clues left by the patrol members who had been tracking the perpetrator, they caught up and saw the man's true face.

"He was a mess. Kaguya Jousuke was disheveled, his clothes were in tatters, and he walked with a stagger. At first glance, one wouldn't associate him with a murderer; one would only think he was a foolish vagrant," Uchiha Ryuei answered.

"Wasn't he injured at all?" Uchiha Gin asked again.

"He was. His entire back looked as if it had been scorched by intense flames, oozing pus and blood."

Scorched by flames? A mental breakdown?

All of this combined made Uchiha Gin's head throb. He felt a spark of inspiration, but he couldn't quite grasp it.

"How did you finally catch him?" Uchiha Gin wanted to know the whole process.

Uchiha Ryuei continued.

When the two sides first met, Uchiha Ryuei made the first move to test Kaguya Jousuke, but unexpectedly, the man was knocked down in a single blow.

While Ryuei was wondering about it, a teammate who stepped forward to check activated his Sharingan mid-way, and the supposedly defeated Kaguya Jousuke suddenly lunged again.

Fortunately, the teammates who came with him were strong; they only lost an arm, and their lives were not in immediate danger.

What followed was a fierce battle, mostly a contest of Taijutsu. The opponent's speed was extremely high, making it impossible for ordinary Ninjutsu to hit him.

The crazed Kaguya Jousuke was also immune to Genjutsu, leaving them with no choice but to wear him down with Taijutsu.
