Konoha: The Thirty-Year-Old Uchiha Has No Energy Left

Chapter 4: Evaluation of Uchiha Gin’s Strength

The three glaring words "CLEARED" on the file looked incredibly harsh. The fact that Senju Kawarama, the son of Senju Butsuma, had been assassinated indicated that this war had already entered a white-hot stage.

However, for Uchiha Gin, whose identity had not yet fully settled in, the act of slaughtering a child under ten years old was something his conscience could not accept.

But given the current situation, he could only take things one step at a time.

"The Hagoromo clan has already taken out the third young master of the Senju clan; we need to step it up too!"

Uchiha Fuuka looked at the group reading intently and decided to boost their morale.

"Is this really okay? Attacking such a young child?"

Holding back a thought he couldn't help but voice, Uchiha Gin quietly asked Uchiha Ryoichi, who was standing beside him, earning a look of surprise in return.

"Weren't you the most proactive one during this mission? You kept charging forward, even dragging us into exposing our tracks, and we had to fight the Senju clan for quite a while before we could break away," Uchiha Ryoichi asked, puzzled.

Uchiha Gin cursed inwardly. Although he had received the original owner's memories, the time had been too short, and he had been too shocked, causing him to push many of the original owner's actions to the back of his mind.

If it were anyone else, they wouldn't typically project themselves into the characters of a movie they had watched; they would usually view the plot from the perspective of a bystander.

*Seeing him do it ≠ I did it.*

Thinking of this, Uchiha Gin put on an embarrassed expression and pointed to his head, which was still wrapped in several layers of bandages.

"I took a punch from someone in the Senju clan, and my head slammed into a rock. My recent memories have been a bit scrambled. I'm really sorry."

Seeing Uchiha Gin's injury, Uchiha Ryoichi expressed his understanding. After all, given Uchiha Gin's level, the fact that he hadn't been beaten to a pulp internally by a full-force punch from a Senju powerhouse was already a blessing from the ancestors.

Seeing that he had successfully bluffed his way through, Uchiha Gin took advantage of the gap while flipping through the documents to calm his mind and browse the original owner's memories once more.

However, the memories from a few years ago were intermittent, like the stuttering frames of an old VCD player, making it extremely exhausting for him to watch.

A moment later, Uchiha Gin regained his focus, a faint glimmer in his eyes. Only then did he find an explanation for Uchiha Gin's previous reckless behavior.

Because of the war, Uchiha Gin had lost his parents at the age of eight, and Uchiha Tajima, who had not yet become the clan leader, had adopted him.

Two years later, Uchiha Tajima became the clan leader, married, and had children. He had always treated Uchiha Gin as his own.

Uchiha Gin was more like Uchiha Tajima's son than his nephew. As Tajima's children were born, the teenage Uchiha Gin, acting as the "big brother," took on the responsibility of guarding the clan leader's children.

But war is cruel, after all. The enemy's blade would not stop just because you were a child; on the contrary, anyone who stood in their way—man, woman, or child—was an enemy.

During one battle, the Uchiha clan's territory was ambushed. Because Uchiha Tajima had taken all the young combatants to the front lines, leaving only women and children in the territory, Uchiha Gin, as the guard for the clan leader's family, was left behind to protect Tajima's wife and three young children.

Lacking sufficient strength, Uchiha Gin was knocked down in a single exchange. The cruel enemies forced his eyelids open and slaughtered Uchiha Tajima's wife and three young children right in front of him.

"What a piece of trash. He didn't even awaken his eyes after that. It's better for such a loser to stay alive."

The perpetrator laughed heartily, mocking the gray-faced Uchiha Gin.

The enemy finished their brutal massacre of the entire territory, leaving only Uchiha Gin, who had roared until he was numb. After all, no matter how much such a person grew, they would never pose a threat to them.

After the enemies left, the soul-shattered Uchiha Gin knelt in the pile of corpses for three days. He didn't even notice when the bodies began to rot and stink.

Later, when Uchiha Tajima returned and saw the tragic scene, his Sharingan shed two lines of blood and tears on the spot.

The only silver lining was that because his eldest son, Madara, and second son, Izuna, were already at the age to go to the battlefield, Uchiha Tajima had taken them with him, allowing the two young boys to escape the disaster.

However, Uchiha Tajima never pursued the matter regarding the sole survivor, Uchiha Gin.

After all, in his eyes, Uchiha Gin had been ruined by this trauma; living was no different from being dead.

"Although it makes sense, I still feel like these memories are weird, like they were scripted. Isn't it a bit too 'conveniently' tragic?" Uchiha Gin complained helplessly. In the original owner's memories, the Uchiha clan hadn't failed to investigate the incident back then, but due to limited means and the fact that the enemy's methods had clearly been concealed, the investigation hit a dead end.

There were no traces of ninjutsu left at the scene; everyone died from physical trauma. In the end, the matter was dropped and became an unsolved case.

Although the original owner was an eyewitness, he had no knowledge of the enemy's attack methods. He only saw someone among them pull "weapons" out of their own bodies to kill, but because it was dark, he hadn't seen clearly what the method was.

As a transmigrator, Uchiha Gin was different. Having read the entire Naruto series, he recognized at a glance that the opponent was using their own bones as weapons.

However, looking at the entire series, apart from the ancestor Kaguya Otsutsuki, who was sealed on the moon, the only ones left with such abilities were the Kaguya clan, who had been driven overseas by the Uchiha and Senju clans.

Thinking of this, Uchiha Gin's imagination ran wild as he began to ponder the inside story.

"Since the culprit is the Kaguya clan, how did they sneak into the Uchiha territory? There must have been a traitor among us! Was there a guide like Obito?"

Although he knew the true culprit of the massacre in the clan territory, Uchiha Gin didn't have much of an emotional reaction; after all, he wasn't the original Uchiha Gin.

The most important thing right now was to understand his own strength. This was his foundation for survival. One had to know that the original Uchiha Gin was a character who couldn't even beat a ten-year-old Uchiha Madara who hadn't yet awakened his eyes.

Uchiha Gin was very worried about what level such combat power belonged to, so he used his memories to roughly understand the current hierarchy of strength.

Since there were no "Genin, Chunin, or Jonin" titles yet, personal combat power could roughly be divided into Leaders, Elders, Captains-General, Captains, and ordinary combatants.

It could probably be mapped as: Leader - Kage level, Elder - Pseudo-Kage level, Captain-General - Elite Jonin, Captain - Jonin, Ordinary combatant - Special Jonin/Chunin, Fodder - Genin.

Uchiha Tajima, Senju Butsuma, Uzumaki Ashina of the Uzumaki clan, and Sarutobi Yukimura of the Sarutobi clan should belong to the Kage-level combat power.

The second-in-commands and elders of each clan should be at the Pseudo-Kage level—the kind of level where, after burning their life force, their combat power could rival a Kage.

His captain, Uchiha Fuuka, because he had awakened the Three-Tomoe, should be between the level of an Elite Jonin and a Jonin. Uchiha Ryoichi and the others had awakened the Two-Tomoe, putting them at the level of a Special Jonin or Chunin.

As for the original owner, he was quite pathetic. To this day, he remained in an unawakened state. His Taijutsu was mediocre, his Kenjutsu was barely passable but not strong, and his only Ninjutsu seemed to be the non-lethal, merciful "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu." The only thing he could show off was his decent shuriken accuracy.

Overall evaluation: Fodder.

[Utter trash.]
