Is it hard to strike it rich? My supermarket spans across time!

Chapter 12: How to Enter the Spacetime Supermarket

“With this much wine, wouldn't one bowl per person be insufficient?” Xiao Yingchun asked with a smile.

Fu Chen'an nodded repeatedly. “It’s enough, it’s enough! I didn't expect this wine to be so strong... If one drinks too much, it could easily lead to trouble.”

Twenty cases of instant noodles, three cases of medicine, and forty barrels of wine, each containing fifty catties.

After the supplies were hauled away by the trailer, Fu Chen'an let the soldiers depart first; he still had other matters to discuss with the proprietress.

The soldiers had long heard that the owner of that mysterious shop was a woman, and a very young and beautiful one at that, so they immediately began to jeer.

“Oh! No wonder the General is dressed so dashingly today!”

“What do you mean dashingly? The General is peerless and elegant!”

“Go on, General, go! We’ll be fine!”

“We’ll head back to camp and wait for you!”

“If you’re busy, General, it’s fine if you don't return tonight!”

“Hahaha...”

A group of rogue soldiers laughed loudly as they ran off carrying the wine barrels.

Fu Chen'an shook his head with a chuckle, then turned back and entered Xiao Yingchun's supermarket...

Xiao Yingchun pulled a plastic stool out for him outside the counter. Fu Chen'an sat down familiarly and handed a bag of gold ingots to Xiao Yingchun.

Xiao Yingchun opened it to check; it was another thirty gold ingots.

That was over twenty million...

Regaining her energy, Xiao Yingchun pointed to the list of medicines she had photographed on her phone. “It will take three more days to prepare all these medicines. Will that be in time for you?”

Fu Chen'an looked at Xiao Yingchun’s fair, rosy face and her large eyes with long lashes. “It will be in time.”

Within three days, the evacuation order likely wouldn't be issued yet.

Capturing Yongzhou City was the soldiers' business, but peace negotiations were the business of the Imperial Court.

Fu Chen'an could not control that. The Fu Family Army had just completed its most difficult battle; what remained was to await orders alongside his father.

Return to the capital in triumph? Stationed on-site? Or retreat back to the former Taizhou?

The Emperor was suspicious; he likely wouldn't dare let him and his father remain in the military camp together...

A sudden sense of melancholy washed over Fu Chen'an, and he couldn't help but explain proactively. “These medicines aren't for immediate use, but for future preparation.”

“The Fu Family Army will be redeployed later. When that time comes, it won't be easy to come to your shop again.”

“So, the army physician suggested that while we are still here, we should stockpile some medicine in case there is nowhere to buy it later.”

Xiao Yingchun was stunned. “Only you can enter this shop. No matter where you are, you can always get in.”

“You only need to silently recite 'Time-Space Supermarket' in your mind, walk fifty steps north, and then twenty steps east, and you will see the door to the Time-Space Supermarket.”

This was noted in the Time-Space Supermarket's system.

She just didn't know why Fu Chen'an didn't know this, and was foolishly planning not to come back?!

That wouldn't do!

This was her ultimate weapon for getting rich!

Fu Chen'an stared at Xiao Yingchun, dumbfounded. “Really?!”

Xiao Yingchun smiled. “If you don't believe me, you can go out and try it.”

Fu Chen'an naturally had to try.

He immediately went outside.

The soldiers stationed in Xima Town watched as their Young General sprinted out of the alleyway and headed toward the open wilderness.

One asked, “Didn't the General go to buy things? Why is he out so soon?”

Another guessed, “Could it be that he was rejected by that beautiful proprietress?”

A third said, “So the General is heartbroken and ran off to find a deserted place to cry?”

A fourth said, “Not necessarily. Why don't we go take a look?”

A few of them chased after Fu Chen'an.

As a result, they saw Fu Chen'an walking step by step toward the north in the wilderness, and after walking a certain distance, walking step by step toward the east.

The men were speechless. “It's over. After being rejected by the beautiful proprietress, the General has gone mad.”

“Quick! Go tell the Marshal!”

One soldier sprinted off.

The remaining three soldiers watched as a mist the size of a house slowly condensed in the wilderness, and the General walked into that mist, step by step, with unwavering determination.

The soldiers looked at the mist and exchanged glances.

A moment later, the General did not emerge from the other side of the mist.

After another while, he still hadn't emerged.

“Something is wrong! That mist is eerie! Quick, go tell the Marshal!”

Another soldier sprinted off.

Fu Zhonghai soon received the order and arrived. After hearing the report, he looked at the mist and first ordered Physician Niu to check if the mist was toxic.

Physician Niu approached with a pale face, smelling it as if facing death. After a moment, finding no abnormality in his body, he breathed a sigh of relief. “The mist is non-toxic.”

“Send someone to see if they can pass through it.”

A soldier entered with a death-defying resolve, and after a moment, emerged from the other side.

“Send another,” Fu Zhonghai commanded.

Another soldier went in and emerged from the other side.

Both were perfectly fine.

Fu Zhonghai said with a grim face, “Wait here. We'll see what happens once the mist dissipates.”

His son was highly skilled in martial arts and, according to the grandmaster, had a very "hard" fate. He couldn't have survived the war only to die in this patch of mist!

Fu Chen'an, however, had no idea that his biological father was outside so anxious that his hemorrhoids were about to flare up. Instead, he was happily confirming things with Xiao Yingchun.

“It really works! I just walked in through an empty patch of ground...”

Xiao Yingchun was also happy: she had maintained her only customer, and she could continue to make a fortune in the future.

In her excitement, Xiao Yingchun handed him a bottle of Assam milk tea. “My treat, it's free.”

Fu Chen'an took it, twisted it open, and took a sip. His eyes instantly widened. “This flavor... it's so fragrant and sweet!”

Xiao Yingchun nodded and grabbed a handful of small-packaged meat jerky. “Mhm, and try this snack as well.”

As the jerky entered his mouth, Fu Chen'an nodded again. “Delicious! This is jerky, right? We tried making jerky too, but the taste wasn't this good, and it spoils easily in the heat...”

Xiao Yingchun seized the opportunity to promote. “This won't spoil. It has been treated with preservatives and is vacuum-packed; there's no air inside...”

After a brief explanation, Xiao Yingchun concluded, “If you take this to eat during battle, it can last at least a month in this kind of weather without spoiling.”

“This is good. How much do you have? I'll take it all in a moment.” Fu Chen'an was indeed tempted.

Xiao Yingchun nodded, bagged and weighed the jerky, and then grabbed a handful of small-packaged dried tofu and various flavors of peas...

By the time an entire shelf of small-packaged foods had been sampled, packed, and tallied by Fu Chen'an, Xiao Yingchun felt too embarrassed to keep promoting.

“Since you can come back again in the future anyway, why don't you just buy these for now?”

Fu Chen'an looked at the dozen or so bags of snacks already loaded onto a flatbed trailer and nodded with a smile.

Then, Fu Chen'an spoke about the plastic buckets used for the wine. “Those buckets won't change the taste of water once filled; they are better than leather water skins.”

“Could you sell some to me next time?”

This was a small matter; Xiao Yingchun agreed readily and enthusiastically introduced various different specifications of plastic buckets.

Seeing the size Xiao Yingchun indicated with her hands, Fu Chen'an chose the ten-catty ones without a second thought.

With these plastic buckets, plus the empty bottles left over from the cases of mineral water he had bought previously, he could fill a bottle whenever he came across water.

It was simply too convenient!
