Immortality: Sweeping the World Starting from the Library Pavilion

Chapter 49: About to go VIP, some words from my heart

Chapter 49: Going Premium Soon, Some Heart-to-Heart Talk~

Currently at 120,000 words, 3,500 collections, and 600+ readers following the updates—it should be approaching 700.

Clearing four rounds of the plot isn't actually a problem (I'm currently on the third round), but the book just isn't attracting volume. It might be that the title and synopsis are a bit mediocre, or perhaps it's the protagonist's identity as a palace eunuch. As soon as readers see "eunuch," they flee like they've seen a snake or a scorpion; they don't even stay to read...

The steady 5:1 ratio of paid-to-following readers proves that the plot itself isn't the issue. The readers who are following the updates actually quite enjoy this kind of plot—hiding one's light, watching the clouds and wind, or stirring up the storm.

If I hadn't had one hiatus and several single-update days, combined with the smart recommendation and that big wave at 100,000 words, the results should have been even better.

If that were the case, I could have held on a bit longer to see how many followers I'd have by the end of the PK, and maybe I could have even brushed against the threshold for the Sanjiang Award (a man's gotta dream, hehe).

But I can't hold on anymore; I'm preparing to go premium. This agony during the free period is unbearable. Being constantly anxious, hoping for a slight increase in collections or a rise in followers, only to have those expectations fall short time after time—it's exhausting.

It seems my 100,000-word smart recommendation never arrived...

My highest daily increase in collections was on the first day of the third round, with 450+ new collections and 70 new followers...

——

I would also like to apologize to all my readers for the hiatus and the single-update days.

I work at a chemical plant, doing manual labor. I've been targeted by petty office politics, and even when I was transferred to a different post, I couldn't refuse. That hiatus and the single-update days were due to unavoidable work that led to excessive overtime and all-nighters.

It was out of my hands...

I haven't been able to make up for those missed updates.

All my manuscripts are written from scratch. My usual speed is 3000+ words per hour, but because I desperately want this book to succeed, it takes me three to four hours to polish and release just two chapters.

I work 8 to 9 hours, nap at noon, and after work, I stay up until 11 PM or even midnight just to get two chapters out.

——

Regarding updates, I used to make big promises about how many chapters I'd post, but on second thought, I'll skip that. If you truly like a book, the feeling of disappointment when expectations aren't met can be very painful.

After going premium, a daily update of 4,000 words will be the baseline. I will guarantee that baseline and try my best to see if I can consistently update more to tap into higher traffic pools...

——

Regarding quality, I will continue to maintain strict control. I haven't written for three or four years, so I've forgotten many techniques, writing strength, and how to set the scene. I will write this book seriously to reclaim all of those skills.

——

Finally, *sob*, please support my first day of paid subscriptions! ε(┬┬﹏┬┬)3

With a 5:1 follow-to-collection ratio, please don't just watch the spectacle; otherwise, I'll truly break down ε(┬┬﹏┬┬)3.

I worked the night shift yesterday and am off today. The book goes premium at noon. I write as I go, so I will pick a climax in the plot. Please help me out—even just a single paid subscription would be wonderful.

I am grateful to everyone.

An 18-year-old rookie author, respectfully yours.

PS: Sacrificing a friend's book: 《Is the Heroic Spirit Actually Me?》.

In the Age of Spirit Taming, those compatible with Heroic Spirits can summon them from another world to fight for them.

Wu Ming, a transmigrator unable to summon Heroic Spirits, unexpectedly awakens the talent 【Legendary Picture Scroll】.

Relying on his talent, he enters the world of Heroic Spirits, leaving behind countless myths and legends, creating invincible Heroic Spirits that span eternity.

He once used a mortal body to contain vengeful souls, single-handedly turning the tide to cleanse the Demon Province—【Demon-Slaying Soul Master】.

He once gouged out his own eyes to personally wander through mountains of flesh and rivers of blood, all to paint the only pure land in the mortal realm—【Strange Painting of Mountains and Rivers】.

In the desolate lands, he once carried the will of humanity to establish an empire that spans the starry sky—【Eternal Emperor】.

While others were still worrying about their first Heroic Spirit contract, Wu Ming looked at the endless Legendary Picture Scroll and worried just as much.

"With so many Heroic Spirits, which one should I use next?"

Following a friend's trend, I also recommend 《Daoist Lord: Starting Foundation Establishment from Penglai》, which also has a breezy, immortal cultivation flavor. Highly recommended.

Of course, this is a sacrifice! Hehe, brother... brother... (Palworld face)
