Chapter 23: Unprecedented Natural Magic Power! [Bonus chapter to boost the new book ranking]
"Red oak, with blood-stained unicorn scales, nine inches long! I have searched for many masters for it, but all attempts failed; the little fellow is very picky."
As Ollivander spoke, he sensed Chu Yang's unusual gaze. Being a shrewd old man, he quickly explained, "Please believe me, these are not scales dropped by human hands. To harm a sacred magical creature like a unicorn is to invite a curse!"
Only then did Chu Yang withdraw his scrutinizing look.
He took the wand box from Ollivander's hands and drew out the wand.
"Be gentle this time!" Ollivander reminded him urgently. "Whatever you do, don't flip my counter over!"
"Don't worry, I will definitely be gentle this time!" Chu Yang nodded heavily, then cautiously gave the wand a flick.
As a result, the entire wand shop began to tremble violently!
Ollivander and Sprout looked around in terror, fearing the shop might collapse.
The beams and pillars of the shop, even the doorframes—everything made of wood seemed to come to life, growing frantically and expanding continuously, even affecting the surrounding shops.
The trees bloomed with new life once more, as green vines and vegetation extended outward.
Flower buds followed suit, and in the blink of an eye, they grew into a vibrant sea of flowers.
Dead wood transformed in an instant into ancient wood hundreds of years old, brimming with vitality.
The frantic spectacle attracted people from both sides of the street, and gasps of wonder rose from the crowd.
Sprout's eyes widened. As a Professor of Herbology, she found it difficult to comprehend what was happening before her. "That powerful natural magic just now... did it come from Chu Yang?"
At this moment, the red oak wand with the unicorn scale core was emitting a warm red light that enveloped Chu Yang—the characteristic sign of a wand accepting its master.
Ollivander stared at the scene in shock. He had originally only intended to give it a try; he hadn't expected it to actually succeed.
Looking at the surrounding shops that had been left in a shambles by his actions, Chu Yang couldn't care less about natural magic. He said with a bitter smile, "I will compensate you for all your losses, Mr. Ollivander."
"No, no, no! Child!" Ollivander stroked the violently growing trees in his shop, his eyes lighting up. "These trees contain powerful life force; they are excellent materials for making wands. These alone are more than enough."
Ollivander pointed to the neighboring shops that had been crushed by the growing trees and smiled. "They are also enough to compensate them for their losses!"
Only then did Chu Yang breathe a sigh of relief. He took out the wand and asked, "How many Galleons does this wand cost?"
Ollivander smiled. "This wand is enough. Take it. If it ever breaks, bring it back to me and I will repair it for free."
Chu Yang nodded in pleasant surprise. "Thank you, Mr. Ollivander."
Beside them, Sprout walked up to Chu Yang urgently, scanning him up and down with eyes full of disbelief. The intensity of the magic just now had exceeded that of most adult wizards, yet it had been caused by an eleven-year-old boy.
But that wasn't even the most important part!
What shocked Sprout most was that she had never seen anyone's magic carry such staggering life force—so dense that one could tangibly feel the power of nature.
Even the herbology gardens that Sprout herself meticulously tended could not provide such a sensation.
Never mind Sprout; Chu Yang himself was startled!
He had actually guessed that his magic would be slightly stronger than an average wizard, given that he possessed a "cheat," but he truly hadn't expected his magic to exhibit such strange characteristics.
Thinking it over, the only possible connection was the Wood Release he had inherited from the Naruto-version of himself!
Everyone's constitution leads to differences in their magic; a bloodline limit—a power deep within the veins—would have a much greater impact on magic than other factors.
It seemed this was the only way to explain it.
Looking at the bewildered Chu Yang, Sprout had a stomach full of questions that rushed to her lips but were difficult to voice.
He was just a child; what could he possibly know?
It would be better to ask the knowledgeable Dumbledore after returning to school!
Noticing that more and more people were gathering to watch, Sprout shielded Chu Yang behind her and hurriedly led him out of the wand shop.
In the crowd, a little girl watched Chu Yang's retreating figure, her eyes filled with curiosity, only withdrawing her gaze regretfully when an adult beside her prompted her.
Sprout rushed Chu Yang back to the Leaky Cauldron.
She was in a hurry to inform Dumbledore of Chu Yang's peculiarity.
"Chu Yang, I am sorry, but I must leave first. Here is your ticket and some living expenses; keep them safe!"
"I have already paid your accommodation; you can stay there until school starts. Remember, you must be on the train before 11 o'clock on September 1st."
Sprout placed a ticket and a pouch of Galleons into Chu Yang's hands, then impatiently cast [Apparition], vanishing abruptly before his eyes.
Chu Yang didn't even have time to say a single word...
"Professor Sprout is quite impatient," Chu Yang complained helplessly to himself. He then looked down at the ticket. "King's Cross Station, Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. Such a familiar name."
"Fortunately, I know how to get there, otherwise it would have been a problem." Passing through the platform was a classic scene from Harry Potter, and Chu Yang remembered it clearly.
After Sprout left, Chu Yang went to Gringotts.
He wanted to exchange the pounds he had earned from the thugs earlier into Galleons.
It was only when he arrived that he learned there were limits on exchanging pounds for Galleons.
Having thought he was going to strike it rich, Chu Yang could only disappointedly exchange 200 Galleons.
"So, robbing thugs is quite beneath me. It's better to change my target to Dark Wizards." A dangerous light flashed in Chu Yang's eyes. After this massive misunderstanding, his mood was at an absolute low.
Having spent the whole day running around outside, Chu Yang was too lazy to move once he returned to his room.
Sitting on the bed, he picked up the books he had just bought and began to read.
He would be spending this time before the start of school alongside these books.
The first book Chu Yang chose was *A History of Magic* by Emeric Switch.
This was the best reading material for someone who had never encountered the wizarding world to understand it.
Because he shared the talents of three versions of himself, Chu Yang's memory was extraordinary. Although he hadn't reached the level of photographic memory, he could fully memorize and understand the knowledge in a book after reading it two or three times.
Some people can memorize quickly, but they cannot necessarily understand.
But as long as Chu Yang memorized it, he could basically understand it completely.
Being able to quickly memorize and understand the knowledge in books was an extremely pleasurable experience, more refreshing than any other way of obtaining pleasure through brain stimulation in the world!
