I just became the Pirate King, and you're telling me I've transmigrated at the same time?
Chapter 35: What to do if your roommate isn't very friendly?
He looked at Dumbledore in confusion. Could it be that the man intended to kill this child?
Dumbledore did not explain himself to Snape; instead, he shook his head, signaling him not to ask questions, his eyes urging him to take Chu Yang away immediately.
Snape gave a cold snort, bowed slightly toward Dumbledore, and turned to leave.
"Thank you for your hospitality, Headmaster Dumbledore. The snacks here are quite good." Chu Yang bowed politely and followed closely behind Snape.
Dumbledore watched their retreating figures until the doors closed tightly.
The Slytherin house dormitory and common room entrance were located in the dungeons of Hogwarts.
Hufflepuff House was also located here.
The two houses were in opposite directions, separated by the Hogwarts kitchens, where hundreds of house-elves were at work.
Chu Yang followed Snape back through the path that first-year students used to enter the main school entrance from the cavern ferry, but then they took a different fork in the road.
Before long, Chu Yang saw a damp stone wall blocking the way.
This scene was identical to the one at the back door of the Leaky Cauldron.
"Pure-blood!"
Snape uttered the command with a proud tilt of his head, casting a glance at Chu Yang. Immediately, the stone wall rumbled open, revealing a small cobblestone path beneath their feet.
As they walked deeper along the path, a spacious common room suddenly appeared.
The surrounding walls were built of black Gothic marble, and the ceiling was a transparent, crystal-carved semi-circle, through which the shimmering light of the water above could be seen.
This was located at the bottom of the lake—specifically, the bottom of the Black Lake.
Chu Yang looked up.
Through the windows, he could see fish and some massive marine creatures swimming by.
Greenish-glowing lamps hung from the ceiling by chains. Inside, there was a fireplace with an exquisitely carved mantelpiece.
On either side of the common room, passages led to the boys' and girls' dormitories, respectively.
Snape stood at the entrance and said coldly, "Don't tell me you expect me to find your sleeping quarters for you as well?"
"Thank you."
Despite Snape's cold attitude, Chu Yang still bid him farewell very politely.
"Slytherin is different from other houses. The hostility toward non-pure-blood wizards here is intense. If you lack the ability to protect yourself, leave early; don't end up losing your life here," Snape added abruptly without looking back.
Then, he walked out of the common room without a second glance.
A sharp tongue but a soft heart.
Watching Snape's haughty retreating figure, Chu Yang shook his head and walked up the stairs leading to the boys' dormitory.
As Chu Yang entered the room, he saw a row of beds hung with dark greenish-black curtains. Unlike the relatively cheerful atmosphere of Gryffindor, the Slytherin boys were somewhat serious; they weren't playing excitedly in the dormitory, but were instead preparing to determine the dormitory leader.
As for what they competed in...
Naturally, it was the family lineage they took such pride in. Whoever had the more illustrious background would have more say and dominance in the dormitory.
Draco Malfoy was not here, so for the time being, these boys could not distinguish who was superior.
However, one thing was certain... a non-pure-blood like Chu Yang would undoubtedly have the lowest status.
"Why are you here!" Goyle, who was in the middle of an argument, saw Chu Yang standing at the dormitory door and immediately began shouting.
The new students shifted all their gazes toward Chu Yang, recalling the shocking scene in the Great Hall earlier.
"Isn't he Muggle-born? How could he be sorted into Slytherin?" Crabbe and Goyle, who knew Chu Yang's background, whispered to the new students nearby. After a while, everyone knew Chu Yang's true identity.
The new students who had intended to welcome Chu Yang just moments ago instantly changed their expressions. They formed a united front with unspoken understanding, staring at him with hostile eyes.
"Excuse me, please leave. This is the great Slytherin House, not a place for a non-pure-blood wizard like you. You must have taken a wrong turn." Blaise Zabini, with his dark skin, stepped forward, looking at Chu Yang with an expression of disdain and contempt.
Looking at this group of classmates who viewed him as an enemy, the corners of Chu Yang's mouth curled up slightly. "You don't like me being here? Coincidentally, I feel the same way. Even back at the orphanage, I only liked sleeping in an independent room!"
"A dormitory with open beds is quite unsuitable for me, so you'd better roll out quietly and let me sleep in peace. Otherwise, there might be many people unable to attend class tomorrow. If Slytherin loses points, it will be very troublesome for me."
"A lowly Mudblood actually dares to threaten us?" Chu Yang's attitude stung the pride of the pure-blood wizard Blaise. "This isn't your territory, Easterner!"
"I recall that there doesn't seem to be a profession called 'wizard' in Africa; there are only shamans there," Chu Yang mocked instantly. "I heard your ancestors learned magic in a cotton field."
Blaise, of African descent, flew into a rage!
He charged straight at Chu Yang, intending to let this thin Easterner feel his strength!
The scene was somewhat ridiculous; the self-proclaimed pure-blood wizard Blaise was actually going to use his fists to teach someone a lesson because he had not yet learned any offensive magic.
While the conflict between Blaise and Chu Yang erupted, Goyle and Crabbe retreated in unison. They still believed that Malfoy's predicament might be related to Chu Yang.
They might be dim-witted, but their intuition was quite sharp.
How much threat could the fist of an eleven-year-old child pose?
Chu Yang didn't even bother to dodge; he seized the opportunity and delivered a kick straight to Blaise's abdomen.
Blaise felt a massive force slam into him. As the pain surged, his consciousness began to blur; he felt as if he were flying.
In fact, he was indeed kicked flying by Chu Yang. After landing, he slid several meters across the smooth floor, being shoved directly under a bed by his own momentum.
Blaise immediately fell into a state of dizziness.
The others were even more startled!
With just a casual kick, the strong Blaise had been knocked unconscious by Chu Yang.
"Damn it, let's all go at once! Drive him out of Slytherin!"
The crowd swarmed forward, intending to overwhelm Chu Yang with numbers. The sounds of fighting also attracted new students from other dormitories.
Upon learning the sequence of events, they resolutely joined the camp opposing Chu Yang.
At this moment, Goyle and Crabbe retreated again in perfect sync.
Their intuition remained accurate.
Within a few breaths, a group of eleven-year-old children were lying on the floor, foaming at the mouth.
Chu Yang patted his hands and smiled at the two. "If you don't mind, please take this trash out when you leave. It's best not to disturb my sleep, alright?"
Goyle and Crabbe nodded frantically like chickens pecking at grain.
Afterward, Chu Yang found a window-side bed where he could admire the mysterious creatures of the lake bottom. He deftly stripped off his robes, crawled into the soft bedding, closed his eyes, and wore a comfortable smile.
Goyle and Crabbe carefully carried the boys out of the room one by one, terrified of disturbing Chu Yang's sleep.
While carrying Blaise, Goyle had a momentary lapse, causing Blaise's head to bump against a bedpost with a dull thud.
Chu Yang's eyelids flickered, but he did not open them, merely showing an expression of impatience.
Goyle and Crabbe were scared out of their wits; trembling, they slowly dragged the person out of the room.
Once the two had tiptoed out and closed the door, Chu Yang smiled and fell into a deep sleep.
Looking at the new students lying scattered across the common room, Goyle and Crabbe, sweating profusely from their labors, grimaced as they each found a comfortable sofa to lie down on.
The fireplace flames burned brightly, yet they could not dispel the dampness on the floor.
After all, this was the bottom of the Black Lake; if these new students lay there until dawn, most of them would catch a cold.
