Chapter 46: The End of the Incident and the Thank-You Gift

Chapter 46: The End of the Incident and the Reward

Protecting the old man behind him, Xia You took the initiative and commanded, "Everyone, attack together!"

His several Pokémon unleashed their moves simultaneously. In an instant, a chaotic flurry of multicolored skills flew toward Murkrow and Arbok.

While directing her Pokémon to dodge, Athena mocked, "Using numbers to overwhelm the few... your methods are certainly different from an ordinary Trainer!"

Xia You did not bother responding to her sarcasm; after all, this was not a Trainer battle, so there was no need to follow any battle rules.

However, her two Pokémon were indeed powerful. Even while being besieged by multiple Pokémon, they managed to find opportunities to counterattack.

"Murkrow, use Wing Attack! Arbok, use Acid Bomb!"

Seeing this, Xia You naturally did not back down, choosing to meet the opponent head-on.

"Charmander, use Ember! Squirtle, use Water Gun!"

The moves from both sides collided, causing explosions. However, since Xia You had more Pokémon, he continued to issue orders: "Jolteon, use Thunder Shock! Bulbasaur, use Razor Leaf!"

Unable to dodge in time, Murkrow and Arbok were both hit by the moves, letting out low moans of pain.

"Tch!" Athena gritted her teeth. Ultimately, she had underestimated this man, and even more so, the number of his Pokémon.

"Excellent!" Seeing the attack succeed, Xia You pressed his advantage. "Ralts, use Confusion to restrain them!"

The Arbok, which had been dodging attacks, was suddenly jerked by the psychic force. Its body faltered, allowing Xia You's Pokémon to seize the moment and focus their fire, hitting it with several moves at once!

The continuous barrage made Athena realize the situation was turning grim. No matter how unwilling she was, the pressure forced her to issue the most correct command.

"Damn it, we're retreating!"

With that, she recalled Arbok into its Poké Ball. Taking a running start, she leaped through the shattered window of the office, jumping from the twentieth-plus floor of the skyscraper!

Then, Xia You felt a dark shadow flash before his eyes. Murkrow swept past him, grabbed Athena's arm, and carried her far away from the Silph Co. building.

Seeing that Athena had indeed left, Xia You let out a long sigh of relief. Looking at the mess on the floor, he turned back and said apologetically, "I'm sorry for making your office look like this."

The old man smiled kindly. "It doesn't matter. Compared to the safety of my life, what is such a small loss?"

However, unexpectedly, Athena's retreat seemed to trigger a chain reaction.

The sounds of battle in the corridor had ended, and the voices of the Team Rocket members could no longer be heard. When Xia You opened the office door, he ran straight into Sabrina.

"Are you okay?" Xia You asked with concern, his gaze shifting over Sabrina's shoulder to look behind her.

"I'm fine," Sabrina shook her head. "It's just that while we were fighting, for some reason, they all suddenly retreated."

At this moment, in the corridor, there were no traces of Team Rocket left besides the remnants of the recent battle. Even the unconscious members had been taken away!

"Perhaps their plan was disrupted, and seeing no hope of kidnapping this gentleman, they chose to leave."

As he spoke, Xia You recalled his remaining Pokémon, leaving only Ralts and Gengar.

The old man's gaze drifted between Xia You's face and the Poké Ball containing Zapdos, nodding imperceptibly.

He said with heartfelt gratitude, "Thank you both so much. If you hadn't lent a hand today, not only would this company have been completely destroyed, but the world itself might have suffered a catastrophe."

He was not exaggerating. In fact, if the Master Ball truly fell into the hands of Team Rocket and was mass-produced, it would inevitably cause severe damage to the ecological balance.

"We only did what we could," Xia You replied. He then turned to Sabrina. "There are still many researchers being held elsewhere. I think we should call the police and let them handle it."

Sabrina nodded and went downstairs to deal with the relevant matters. Xia You instructed Gengar to wander around to see if there were any remaining potential dangers nearby.

Once those tasks were finished, he was invited back into the office by the old man.

"My apologies, I haven't had the chance to introduce myself," the old man said. "My name is Silph, and I am the President of this company."

Xia You had already realized this. He said, "Hello, Mr. Silph. I am Xia You, a Pokémon Trainer."

Silph invited Xia You to rest for a moment on a heavily damaged sofa. He observed him for a long time, as if finally making a decision, before walking slowly toward a wall. He activated a switch, revealing a high-tech safe inside.

He entered his fingerprint, opened the safe, and took out a Poké Ball.

This Poké Ball looked different from ordinary Poké Balls or Great Balls. Its lower half was the standard white, while its upper half was blue-purple. On the sides were two pink semi-circles resembling fly eyes, and a large 'M' was written in the center.

Walking up to Xia You, Silph handed him the Poké Ball and said solemnly, "As a reward, I intend to give this Master Ball to you."

"Isn't this gift too precious?" Xia You hurriedly stood up. To him, while the Master Ball was incredibly rare, he preferred to capture the Pokémon he liked through battle.

"Accept it," Silph sighed deeply. "Only a few Master Balls have been produced, and they have already caused such a massive commotion. If the research were truly completed, I don't know what kind of trouble it would attract."

Xia You asked, "Then why not seal it away permanently?"

Silph shook his head, as if seeing through everything. "No matter where treasure is buried, it will attract the greedy. I'll leave it to you to deal with."

Seeing his determined attitude, Xia You hesitated for a moment before no longer being polite, accepting the heavy gift with both hands.

When Sabrina returned, Xia You decided to quietly leave before the police arrived to avoid any trouble.

After all, he did not want to reveal any information regarding either Zapdos or the Master Ball.

The two of them bid farewell to Silph and took the elevator out of the building. Watching the sunset slowly descend, although they had only been inside for a few short hours, the continuous battles made them feel as if a lifetime had passed.

At that moment, Sabrina said, "Alright, since the task is complete, I should head back to the Gym."

Xia You turned to look at her. Although he wanted to say something in gratitude, he ultimately did not speak, merely extending his right hand.

"I hope we can meet again next time."

Sabrina nodded, and her soft hand clasped his.

"My intuition tells me we definitely will!"
