Hogwarts Learning Panel

Chapter 9: 9: Class Schedule

A little wizard with fluffy blond hair thought seriously for a moment.

"I don't know."

"You don't know what you're thinking about?!"

Michael felt that because of these two friends—Anthony and Terry—he was definitely going to live a few years less.

As for that elegant yet rapid dining etiquette he mentioned...

A poor orphanage always comes up with many ways to get rid of orphans, even if they are useless for anything other than torturing the children physically and mentally.

Perhaps the only ones to benefit are the caretakers, who gain more reasons to criticize and scold.

Through this ordeal, Sheen was forced to learn a few things, such as etiquette, including a series of manners for dining, walking, and sleeping.

*Fortunately, I escaped that place,* Sheen thought, *otherwise, the soon-to-be-unemployed Caretaker Anna certainly wouldn't have made things easy for me.*

In the Hogwarts Great Hall, Dumbledore was chatting and laughing with the professors at the high table, while Sheen was eating; Michael was flirting with other witches, while Sheen was eating; Terry was taking notes on Dumbledore's words, while Sheen was eating.

Until the clamor in the hall gradually subsided and the food on the tables vanished.

"Now, everyone has eaten and drunk their fill."

Sheen heard Dumbledore's booming voice.

*Eaten and drunk their fill? Not really,* Sheen thought silently.

Dumbledore continued speaking, delivering three warnings: including the prohibition of entering the room on the far right of the fourth-floor corridor, the prohibition of entering the Forbidden Forest, and the prohibition of wandering at night.

"Now, before everyone goes to bed, let us sing the school song together!" Dumbledore called out loudly.

Sheen watched Dumbledore and noticed that the smiles on all the professors surrounding him had frozen.

Soon, Sheen understood why.

"That sounds terrible," Sheen said, covering his ears.

"If you don't want to listen, you still have to sing!" Michael sang passionately, despite being tone-deaf. "If you don't mess with others, others will mess with you!"

"Makes sense."

And so, Sheen began to sing as well

*Hogwarts,* *Hogwarts,* *Hogwarts,* *Please teach us knowledge,* *Whether we are old men with balding heads or children with scraped knees,* *Our minds can accept some interesting things.* *Because right now our brains are empty,* *Filled with air, dead flies, and trivialities,* *Teach us some valuable knowledge,* *Give back to us what we have forgotten,* *Just do your best, and leave the rest to us,* *We will study hard until we turn to dust.*

"You sing so well!"

After it ended, Michael leaned over. Sheen nodded; he had just applied a pop melody from his previous life to it, and the effect was quite good. At the very least, he heard the wailing and howling around him diminish significantly.

A moment later, they followed a slender Prefect out of the Great Hall, up the spiral staircase, up the spiral staircase, and up more spiral staircases...

"These stairs are going to be the death of me!" Michael leaned against the handrail, looking utterly lifeless.

"You just said the Prefect's legs were going to be the death of you," the little wizard named Anthony said, rolling his eyes.

"Eh?! You can eat pudding recklessly, but you can't just say anything, Anthony! That was a secret between brothers! How could you expose me!" Michael somehow found his energy again and immediately lunged at Anthony to tickle him.

By the time they entered the Common Room, Sheen's face was pale; if the stairs were any longer, his body wouldn't be able to take it.

"I have to find a way," Sheen muttered to himself, breathing heavily.

By this time, the Ravenclaw first-years had all reached the Common Room. The blond Prefect waited with a smile for the little wizards to catch their breath.

Once everyone's breathing had leveled out, the Prefect spoke

"Congratulations! I am your Prefect, Penelope Clearwater, and I am delighted to welcome you to Ravenclaw House. Our crest is an eagle, soaring high upon unreachable peaks; our Common Room is located at the top of Ravenclaw Tower, and through the arched windows of the circular room, you can take in the entire Hogwarts campus: the Black Lake, the Forbidden Forest, the Quidditch pitch, and the greenhouses. No other house is fortunate enough to enjoy this view. Of course, many people think this is a disadvantage, but I can tell you, if you learn to ride a broom, it will be absolutely wonderful! Oh, right, our house ghost is the Grey Lady. Others think she never speaks, but she does talk to Ravenclaws. A little bit of gossip: it is said that the Grey Lady lived during the time of the Eagle Founder, so perhaps they have some connection? She is particularly useful when you are lost or cannot find something. I am sure you will have a wonderful night. Because our four-poster beds are covered with sky-blue silk quilts; and the sound of the wind blowing past the window is always very soothing. I will say it once more: congratulations on becoming members of the smartest, quickest, and wittiest house at Hogwarts!"

She didn't ramble; her brief speech was enough to ignite the light in the little wizards' eyes. This was also why Michael and the other Ravenclaws applauded enthusiastically.

*Flying brooms.*

Sheen remembered that too; some Ravenclaws with superb flying skills would fly back to the tower. He silently noted this down, placing its importance just after obtaining a scholarship, and then carefully observed the place: the Ravenclaw Common Room.

It was said to be one of the most airy and spacious rooms in Hogwarts Castle. It was a large circular room with elegant arched windows on the walls, draped with blue and bronze silk, through which Ravenclaw students could see the beautiful scenery outside. The ceiling was a dome studded with stars, as was the deep blue carpet below. The room contained tables, chairs, and bookshelves, and in a niche opposite the door stood a white marble bust of Rowena Ravenclaw. A door next to the bust led to the dormitories above, which Prefect Clearwater was now pointing toward.

"Now, everyone come to me to collect a timetable, and then go through this door to the dormitories. The dormitory information is on the back of the timetable."

The Prefect methodically directed the little Ravenclaws to line up to collect their schedules.

Sheen took his and looked; the most difficult class, Potions, was on Monday morning, and it was a double period. This instantly gave him a sense of urgency; he wanted to rush back to the dormitory immediately to review *Magical Drafts and Potions*. He had only read it once, and it would be bad if he couldn't recall it immediately; the Half-Blood Prince certainly wouldn't teach him meticulously.

"Sheen!" Michael called out excitedly. Sheen turned his head in confusion. "My grandmother says that people who love food are never bad people!"

He shook the timetable in his hand. On the back, it read: *Dormitory No. 404: Sheen Green, Michael Connor.*

Walking into the dormitory with his arm around Michael's shoulder (unilaterally by Michael), the first thing that met his eyes were walls adorned with blue and silver decorations. Each bed had its own bookshelf, and the arched windows were draped with blue silk. Sheen bypassed these and saw the thick, cyan-blue bedding.

*I won't freeze anymore,* Sheen thought.
