They are all shocked, confused, and questioning, asking why the guard is a woman and if this is a different genre altogether. Meanwhile, Qidian readers are calm, having guessed it long ago (based on the foundation of "The Emperor's Daughter").

So, let me explain here: the title is *Her Guard*. "Her" refers to the female protagonist. I write female-protagonist stories, so the guard is a woman.

This is a romance novel. It has a female lead and a male lead; it features unattainable love, feelings growing through long-term mutual protection, and life-and-death separations (I haven't decided on that part yet). In short, it follows the same style as all of Xixing's previous novels.
