Her guard
Chapter 24: A Special Chat for Readers on Other Platforms (Contains Spoilers; those currently binge-reading, please do not open this.)
I can see comments from various platforms in the author's backend, which is quite interesting. After the latest two chapters, the reactions from readers on Xiaoxiang, Hongxiu, and QQ are completely different from those on Qidian. They are all shocked, confused, and questioning, asking why the guard is a woman and if this is a different genre altogether. Meanwhile, Qidian readers are calm, having guessed it long ago (based on the foundation of "The Emperor's Daughter").
So, let me explain here: the title is *Her Guard*. "Her" refers to the female protagonist. I write female-protagonist stories, so the guard is a woman.
This is a romance novel. It has a female lead and a male lead; it features unattainable love, feelings growing through long-term mutual protection, and life-and-death separations (I haven't decided on that part yet). In short, it follows the same style as all of Xixing's previous novels.
I apologize for misleading some readers. There are many stories featuring a female lead and a male guard, so you may want to choose those if that is what you are looking for.
