Novel

He knows more about Pokémon than I do.

Chapter 15: You bumpkins have never seen the power of the moon, have you?

"Hey, hey, hey, wake up, brother. You’re in a soul state right now, don't get too carried away."

Blue poured a giant bucket of cold water directly over Red’s head.

"If we don't hurry up and find a way to fix this, in a few years when Blue gets married and starts a family, I’m going to be forced to watch the live broadcast!"

At the mere thought of this, Blue couldn't help but shudder.

"The worst part is, I still share a mental connection with her."

Red: "..."

Blue suddenly patted Red on the shoulder again, comforting him

"But you don't have to worry. I’ve observed this boy named Ash; he has remarkable bones, a total iron-willed hunk. Even if you gave him another 20 years, he might not be able to find a girlfriend."

"Just like you."

She added.

Red: "..."

As expected, women are truly troublesome.

After some discussion, they reached a consensus.

Possession was out of the question. Ash and Blue were like versions of themselves from another world; they couldn't exactly strangle themselves.

Either they find researchers similar to Team Rocket who specialize in biochemical experiments and have them help build a body.

After all, they could even manufacture Mewtwo, a nearly invincible Pokémon; perhaps the black technology required to transfer a soul into a new body could also be realized.

If human technology couldn't do it...

Then they would have to ask the gods.

There are plenty of Legendary Pokémon in this world with miraculous powers; surely, one exists that could help them.

On this matter, the two had reached their second united front.

The first, of course, was to team up and beat the living daylights out of Gary and Blue (Green).

"Since we're done discussing business, I should help this girl catch a Clefairy. She’s been on a vegetarian diet for seven days and has nothing to show for it; I’m afraid she might actually go insane."

Blue stretched, loosening up her body.

She then stood up, pulled Red over to a bush near the high platform, and the two carefully hid themselves.

"I caught a Clefairy on Mt. Moon in that world too. Generally speaking, on Monday nights, the Clefairy groups place Moon Stones on that platform as an offering and hold a mysterious ritual. They weren't wrong about that part."

Hearing this, Red frowned. They had been waiting for seven or eight hours already.

Could it be that Clefairy only appear in the middle of the night?

"Idiot, I said it was a mysterious ritual. They wouldn't come out if there were humans around. The Clefairy are probably getting impatient."

Sure enough, the two had only been lying in wait for a short while.

Once the traces of humans were gone, a black shadow suddenly emerged from a crack in the rock wall.

It was an adorable pink Pokémon, cautiously peering around. The humans from earlier must have left, right?

After a while, it lowered its guard and happily called into the crevice, as if summoning its companions.

"Clefairy~" "Clefairy~" "Clefairy~"

Not long after, Clefairy emerged from the crevice in a line; counting them up, there were dozens.

A few of the stronger pink devils were even carrying a meteorite nearly a meter wide. It seemed this was what they used for their ritual.

Blue suddenly asked with a grin

"Hey, what do you think would happen if we suddenly jumped out and scared them right now? When the Clefairy go back, do you think they’ll beat that sentry Clefairy to a pulp?"

Red: "..."

He moved a little further away.

That makes no sense.

At the fenced platform, the Clefairy worked together to lift the meteorite onto it.

They circled the platform, calling out for a bit, and then began to move one by one, hopping and skipping in what looked like some kind of dance ritual.

"How are you going to catch one?"

Red couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.

With this whole family of Clefairy, the best way would be to just throw a rock; he figured he could knock one out with his eyes closed.

"I naturally have my methods."

Blue smiled triumphantly, pulled a Poké Ball from her waist, and with a flash of red light, another pink devil appeared in front of them.

Only, its build was much larger than a Clefairy’s, and it was quite chubby.

"Beep. Clefable, the Fairy Pokémon. It is Gengar's favorite food."

Red’s Pokédex broadcasted automatically.

Both: "..."

Blue frowned upon hearing this. This broken Pokédex wasn't even as useful as a brick; what kind of nonsense was that?

And didn't the Pokédex need to be set to vibrate when on a mission?

"Go, Clefable, help me lure a cute Clefairy over."

Blue whispered instructions

"Also, grab two Moon Stones while you're at it."

"Clefable~"

Clefable nodded and hopped toward the Clefairy group.

Its sudden appearance gave the Clefairy a huge fright.

But they quickly realized it was their elder and invited it to join the ritual.

Step one of luring: join in.

Clefable put on an innocent smile and began to play "drop the handkerchief" with the Clefairy, looking as cute as could be.

Red suddenly spoke up: "Don't tell me this Clefable is..."

"Yeah, brought it over from that world."

Blue nodded, a hint of seriousness appearing in her playful expression for the first time.

"It's lucky they followed me over, otherwise I might have become as withdrawn as you."

Red was speechless; he understood that feeling.

He was also very grateful that his Pokémon from that world hadn't been erased.

Compared to transmigrating, he preferred to believe that this was the greatest gift heaven had given him.

"But is this girl really missing a screw in her head? I put Clefable's Poké Ball on her waist, and she hasn't noticed it yet."

Blue smacked her own head hard.

Red remained silent.

His round-faced Pikachu's Poké Ball had also been on Ash's waist the whole time, and it hadn't been discovered yet either.

He still had to get up in the middle of the night every day to find food for his Pikachu.

Perhaps this is just what being guileless is?

On the other side, Clefable and the Clefairy finished their dance ritual.

Now was the time to distribute Moon Stones to the Clefairy of sufficient level to complete their evolution.

As for where the Clefable that had evolved before went?

Naturally, it was hiding deep in Mt. Moon, making more Clefairy.

"Clefable~"

Clefable, having integrated into the group, suddenly called out.

The meaning was roughly that the outside world is so big, which brave soul wants to go conquer the world with it.

Step two of luring: reason with them.

"Clefairy..."

The Clefairy group all shook their heads; clearly, they preferred to play in this carefree place.

However, Clefable noticed one small Clefairy that looked tempted.

So, Clefable pointed at it: "Clefable~"

"Clefairy~"

That Clefairy fell into a struggle.

"Clefairy!" "Clefairy!!"

The surrounding Clefairy, seeing that this outsider Clefable actually wanted to take away one of their own, instantly changed their cute expressions and began to accuse Clefable.

A few strong Clefairy even jumped to the meteorite, broke off a few shards, and in the next second, the light of evolution unique to them enveloped those Clefairy.

Suddenly, there were a few more Clefable around that were no less imposing than it was. By the looks of it, a fight was about to break out.

"Clefable!?"

Blue's Clefable instantly changed its expression, veins popping on its pink forehead.

After being with such a master for so long, did they really think it was still that innocent, cute thing?!

*Pfft!*

It suddenly raised its fleshy palm, and a pink ball of light quickly condensed in its center.

As power was poured into it, the ball of light suddenly soared into the sky, transforming into terrifying pink Fairy energy that exploded in the air.

Dazzling Gleam!!

The special attack aura of the Fairy type washed over the native Clefairy and native Clefable.

Was this power they could use?

They had never seen it before!

Clefable clapped its hands in satisfaction, its expression as if it were saying one thing

"Kanto bumpkins? Never seen Dazzling Gleam before, have you?"

Step three of luring: the muscles have to be hard!

"Clefairy!"

Seeing this ball of pink light, that small Clefairy immediately made up its mind to follow Clefable.

It had never seen such a powerful move!

The other Clefairy could only watch with envy as that Clefairy followed Clefable away.

As Blue's Clefable left, it casually broke off a large piece of the meteorite, gave the surrounding area a provocative look, and then strode away.

Its attitude was extremely arrogant!

In front of the bushes.

"Well done, Clefable!"

Blue rubbed Clefable's pink head; clearly, this instant change of expression was something it had learned from her.

Blue then turned her gaze to the Clefairy beside her.

Judging by its size, it was likely a baby that hadn't been born long ago.

"How about it, Clefairy, are you willing to travel with me?"

"Clefairy~"

The Clefairy nodded cutely.

Without a battle, Blue successfully captured the Clefairy with ease.

She then took the meteorite piece handed over by Clefable and took a quick look; there were nearly five Moon Stones inside.

"Sharing is caring, don't say I don't look out for you."

Saying this, Blue broke off a small piece and tossed it to Red.

Red: "..."

Looking at his piece of meteorite debris, aside from the useless shell, there wasn't a single usable Moon Stone left.

He fell into silence.
