Dual Transmigration: Starting as a Reseller
Chapter 31: Liu Mu Visits, A Few Conditions
Although Chen Feng now possessed the cultivation of the second level of Qi Refining and had learned the Fireball Technique, his character had always been cautious. It would still be very dangerous if he were besieged or restrained by multiple Xiantian-level experts.
However, if he had a squad equipped with modern gear, it would provide an extra layer of security. Furthermore, since Wang Hu and the others were martial artists themselves, combining their skills with modern weaponry would undoubtedly allow them to rival the Xiantian level.
By the time Chen Feng returned to the modern world, it was already afternoon. He checked the room to ensure no one had entered before preparing to head out. But as his eyes swept across the scroll, his footsteps faltered.
He saw that the painting on the scroll had actually changed!
Chen Feng could be said to have studied the scroll countless times; he had long since memorized its contents. Originally, the scroll only depicted a few small hills and some trees. Now, the content had transformed into a majestic, towering mountain, within which lay many smaller hills similar to the ones before. On the eastern side of the great mountain, scenes of towns had also appeared.
Although only a small portion of the towns were drawn, Chen Feng could already tell what the scroll was depicting. This place was none other than the Hengduan Mountains!
At that moment, Chen Feng recalled the small hills from the previous painting—weren't those the very mines belonging to the Xingfeng Sect? He hadn't made the connection before.
"Could it be that because I occupied the Hengduan Mountains, the scroll changed? Or is it because I reached the second level of Qi Refining?"
Two hypotheses rose in Chen Feng's mind. He did not know which of the two reasons caused the change; this would require further verification. He checked the scroll again but found no other differences from before.
"I can only wait for my next breakthrough to see if there are new changes."
Chen Feng stopped his research and walked out of the room toward the factory area. It was currently working hours, and workers were busy in the production workshops; few people were seen around the factory grounds. Just as he was about to call Li Xiaorou, he suddenly noticed several military vehicles parked not far away.
Chen Feng recognized the vehicles; they belonged to Liu Mu.
"Why is he here?"
A look of confusion crossed Chen Feng's face, and he immediately headed toward the office. As he approached the office door, he overheard Lin Wei talking to Liu Mu.
"I really don't know anything about that medicine you mentioned. Chen Feng has never told me about it," Lin Wei's helpless voice rang out.
Liu Mu asked, "Then has he approached you, or asked for your help with anything?"
"No, I'm not close with him," Lin Wei replied, sounding unwilling to engage in conversation with Liu Mu.
Chen Feng stopped eavesdropping at the door and walked into the office. Seeing Chen Feng appear, Liu Mu stood up immediately. "Xiao Chen, I've finally waited for your return."
After consulting with his superiors, Liu Mu had rushed straight to Xingfeng Mining.
Chen Feng said with a smile, "I had to leave for a few days to handle some matters. Why has the leader come all this way? Has something happened?"
From Liu Mu's words, Chen Feng could roughly guess that his visit was related to "Healing Formula No. 1."
"What do you think? You developed a medicine like Healing Formula No. 1 and didn't tell me? Your factory was nearly turned upside down by people from the Ministry of Health..." Liu Mu proceeded to recount the entire incident.
Chen Feng was somewhat surprised after hearing Liu Mu's account. He knew that the medicinal pills from the scroll world were excellent for healing; even the basic healing pills were refined from the natural treasures of that world. However, causing such a massive stir was unexpected.
It seemed he would have to be more careful about bringing things out of the scroll world in the future. That said, the fact that Liu Mu was speaking to him this way meant he had been protected. Otherwise, he wouldn't be sitting here chatting; he would be in an interrogation room.
Chen Feng said to Liu Mu, "Thank you, leader. I didn't consider this carefully enough; I should have informed you in advance."
Hearing this, Liu Mu's expression softened. "Don't worry, I've already settled it for you. The people from the Ministry of Health and the medical research institutes won't come looking for you again. You are one of ours in the military, but remember, whatever happens in the future, you must consult with me first."
Lin Wei remained silent by the side, watching Chen Feng with a smile that carried deep meaning. Chen Feng ignored her smile and turned to ask Liu Mu, "Can the medicine still be brought to market?"
His current concern was whether Healing Formula No. 1 could be commercialized.
"Bringing it to market won't be a problem. The procedures will be completed within the next two days, but I have a few requirements that I hope you can meet," Liu Mu's voice turned solemn.
Chen Feng replied immediately, "Please say the word, leader. There's no need to be formal with me."
"I won't ask how this medicine was developed, and no one will ask you. I only have one requirement: this medicine cannot be sold abroad, and it must be included in the national medical insurance scheme. Do you agree?"
Being included in medical insurance meant that patients could have their costs reimbursed directly through their insurance cards. The pharmaceutical company would then settle its accounts with the Medical Insurance Bureau.
Without a second thought, Chen Feng nodded in agreement. "That is definitely fine. Including it in medical insurance is also a contribution to the country."
For Chen Feng, while including it in the insurance scheme might make the settlement process more complicated, it would guarantee sales volume. Since Liu Mu had shielded him from so much, he had to show his stance.
Chen Feng was certain that Liu Mu definitely knew there was something unusual about him, but Liu Mu hadn't pressed for details, likely due to other considerations. At this moment, Chen Feng felt truly at ease. With the military as his backing, he wouldn't have to be overly cautious in the future.
However, he understood a fundamental truth: to be valued by others, one must possess value. In the future, he would have to show Liu Mu more than just Yan Yang Iron.
"Good, then I am relieved. I also came here for another matter. The tanks produced with Yan Yang Iron have passed testing, and we are preparing for large-scale procurement. I have already given the new order contract to your secretary."
"Our requirement is that your factory produces at least ten thousand tons of Yan Yang Iron within one month. You must expand your production scale."
Chen Feng was startled by the figure of ten thousand tons. The previous state order had only been for one thousand tons; this time, it was a tenfold increase. It seemed the tanks made with Yan Yang Iron had highly satisfied the military.
Chen Feng did some mental math. Given the current mining speed of the Xingfeng Sect, it would be impossible to complete this output within a month. Xingfeng Mining was manageable since they used machines for ore refining, but the Xingfeng Sect relied on manual labor by mortals without the help of machinery.
The Xingfeng Sect currently had about two hundred mortal miners, and their monthly ore output was only around one thousand tons. Furthermore, much of the weight would be lost during the refining process.
"Alright, I guarantee the shipment volume will meet your requirements in one month," Chen Feng promised. He planned to have Liu Qian recruit more mortal miners the next time he returned, or if that failed, purchase Yan Yang Stone from other locations.
"I heard that in order to set up your pharmaceutical company, you borrowed ten million from the bank. If you expand production, will you still have enough money to purchase the raw materials for Yan Yang Iron?" Liu Mu stared at Chen Feng, his eyes gleaming with sharp intelligence.
