Dual Transmigration: Starting as a Reseller
Chapter 15: A Medical Miracle!
Modern world, Eagle Nation.
Chen Feng stepped out from the scroll, appearing inside an abandoned warehouse.
After putting away the scroll that had been hanging on the warehouse wall, Chen Feng dialed the emergency services.
He was traveling on a tourist visa, so his identity was not an issue; the Eagle Nation hospitals wouldn't be able to find anything amiss.
He needed to get his body checked at a hospital to put his mind at ease.
About an hour later, an ambulance with flashing lights arrived near the warehouse.
Chen Feng walked up to the ambulance, and when the nurses saw him, they were somewhat surprised.
"You’re the one who called for an ambulance?"
The blonde, blue-eyed nurse frowned.
Chen Feng didn't look like someone in a condition severe enough to require an emergency call.
"Yes, it was me. My ribs are broken; please take me to the hospital for a check-up immediately."
Chen Feng’s words were startling, and the two nurses were stunned.
"What! Your ribs are broken?"
No matter how they looked at him, Chen Feng didn't appear to have broken ribs.
Who could stand there and talk so calmly with broken ribs?
"Can you stop asking questions? Just take me to the hospital first."
The two nurses didn't dare to delay and quickly helped Chen Feng onto the vehicle.
The ambulance soon sped toward the hospital.
"Why were you in such a remote place, and how did you break your ribs?"
The doctor accompanying them unbuttoned Chen Feng’s shirt to perform an examination.
Chen Feng had handed all his equipment over to Wang Hu; at this moment, he only had a suitcase, which contained nothing but clothes, the scroll, and that jade pendant.
Chen Feng was very cautious in the Eagle Nation; if he were searched and weapons were found, it would be troublesome.
"I fell by accident."
The doctor clearly didn't believe Chen Feng’s answer, because the area below Chen Feng’s chest was almost completely sunken in.
What kind of fall could cause that?
It was clearly the result of a very severe impact.
"There is a risk of internal bleeding; we need to take a CT scan. Aren't you in pain?" The doctor looked at Chen Feng in astonishment.
Chen Feng’s condition was indeed that of broken ribs, and more than one at that.
Yet, Chen Feng didn't show a trace of pain on his face.
On the contrary, he looked quite relaxed.
The nurses in the ambulance also looked at Chen Feng with curious eyes.
"It hurts, but I can endure it." In truth, it wasn't extremely painful for Chen Feng; after taking the medicinal pill, he felt much better.
The doctor and nurses all looked at Chen Feng with strange expressions.
...
The ambulance soon delivered Chen Feng to the hospital.
After the CT scan, the thoracic surgeon responsible for Chen Feng’s diagnosis was left dumbfounded.
"Oh! God... are you a monster?"
In the emergency room, the attending physician looked at the CT images in disbelief.
The other doctors gathered around to take a look, and in an instant, everyone gasped.
The CT scan showed that three of Chen Feng’s ribs were broken.
Moreover, they were broken into several pieces. If it were a normal person, they would likely already be in the ICU with internal bleeding.
But through the examination, they discovered that Chen Feng had no symptoms of internal bleeding.
Not only that, the CT showed that Chen Feng’s broken ribs were actually knitting back together, and regenerative tissue had already appeared.
If they hadn't seen it with their own eyes, the doctors wouldn't have believed such a thing could happen.
Chen Feng looked at the CT images and let out a sigh of relief.
It seemed the healing pills of an Innate expert were exceptionally powerful; even broken bones could regenerate rapidly.
"I should be fine now, right?" Chen Feng asked.
The stunned doctor immediately replied, "According to this rate of regeneration and recovery, we don't need to perform surgery on you. Sir, a medical miracle has occurred in your body!"
The doctor looked at Chen Feng with excitement, as did the other doctors.
They were desperate to know why Chen Feng’s body had undergone such changes.
Despite having several broken ribs, he was acting like nothing had happened, and his body was repairing itself automatically.
Was this even human physiology?
"If I'm fine, then I'm leaving." Knowing he was okay, Chen Feng got off the bed and prepared to leave.
At this moment, the attending physician called out to him: "Sir, could you give us some of your blood so we can run some tests?"
The doctor looked at Chen Feng with pleading eyes.
Chen Feng felt a chill run down his spine.
It reminded him of those secret foreign experiments—even Einstein’s brain had been sliced up after his death. One could only imagine the madness of these research fanatics abroad.
"No time!"
After saying that, Chen Feng walked away quickly.
He wasn't about to give his blood to them; who knew what they might discover.
The doctors tried to persuade him to stay, but Chen Feng ignored them entirely.
He left the hospital directly and boarded the nearest flight back to the Dragon Kingdom.
Dragon Kingdom, Mountain City.
After an overnight flight, Chen Feng finally returned to his motherland.
Only then did he finally relax.
After being targeted by those doctors, Chen Feng had been worried about being intercepted at the airport.
He took a taxi to the Xingfeng Mining factory area.
The factory had completely changed.
A new guard post had been built at the entrance, with two soldiers standing guard.
At the same time, the entire perimeter of the factory was surrounded by barbed wire, looking like a restricted military zone.
When the two soldiers saw Chen Feng, they saluted him.
"Good day, Professor Chen."
The two soldiers greeted him.
Chen Feng was bewildered: "Professor?"
When did he become a professor?
Seeing Chen Feng’s confusion, one of the soldiers spoke up
"Professor Chen, you are already a registered professor at the Dragon Academy of Sciences. The official documents have already been delivered."
Hearing this, Chen Feng immediately realized this must be some title bestowed by the state.
Generally, once your social status rises, you don't need to package yourself; others will do it for you.
After chatting with the two soldiers for a few moments, Chen Feng entered the factory area.
The factory was currently on holiday, and the workers were all on break.
Arriving at the office, Chen Feng saw Li Xiaorou sitting at her desk writing something.
Today, Li Xiaorou was wearing a white suit skirt instead of her usual work uniform.
Li Xiaorou was quite attractive; when Chen Feng chose a secretary, his first priority was capability, and his second was appearance.
If they didn't look good, he wouldn't feel comfortable looking at them.
Li Xiaorou, who was buried in her writing, seemed to sense something. She looked up, and upon seeing Chen Feng, she immediately stood up.
"Boss, you're back from abroad. Did everything go smoothly?"
A smile appeared on Li Xiaorou’s face.
Chen Feng nodded: "It went smoothly enough. What are you working on?"
"This is a production and development plan for the factory. I was preparing to write it up for you to review."
"The order volume from the state is very high right now. We need to arrange for recruitment and the expansion of the factory area."
Looking at Li Xiaorou’s serious attitude, Chen Feng nodded with satisfaction
"Mm, well done."
For Chen Feng, he didn't care much for power. If he had to handle everything for the Xingfeng Sect and Xingfeng Mining himself, he would be worked to death.
Sometimes, one must find people to help; someone like Li Xiaorou was very suitable.
She had just graduated from university and was full of passion.
She didn't have the calculating mind of a veteran socialite, and she was exceptionally diligent in her work.
For an employee like this, giving her praise was often more effective than just giving her money when it came to motivating her.
