Dual Transmigration: Starting as a Reseller

Chapter 37: Is This Something a Human Can Accomplish? The FBI is Stunned

Eagle Nation, the Gulf.

A dozen police speedboats were racing across the surface of the sea, their target being a cruise ship not far away.

In a short while, the speedboats forced the cruise ship to a halt. Dozens of officers rushed onto the vessel and began a rapid search.

When the officers reached the yacht's lounge to conduct their search, they were all stunned by the scene before them.

Many began to vomit uncontrollably, and some female officers even let out screams.

As police officers in the Eagle Nation, they had seen many corpses.

But this scene still left them feeling utterly horrified.

The entire lounge was filled with corpses, half of which were missing their heads.

The flowing blood was like a layer of red paint, staining the entire lounge floor crimson.

A man dressed in a leather jacket stepped out from among the officers.

He glanced at the carnage in the lounge, frowned, and commanded

"Notify the forensic team to come over. Also, check the identities of these people."

He was an FBI Inspector, dispatched by a Federal Congressman.

The Congressman had told him that a gang shootout had occurred on this cruise ship and that several arms dealers were on board.

He had been tasked with bringing them in.

The Inspector had originally thought this operation would be easy.

After all, it was just a gang shootout, but the scene before him told him that something massive had definitely happened here.

Soon, two forensic specialists arrived and began performing on-site autopsies.

A short while later, after examining several bodies, a female forensic specialist jogged up to the Inspector.

Her expression was unnatural, as if she had witnessed something inconceivable.

"What is it?" the Inspector asked.

The female forensic specialist said in horror

"Most of these people's fatal wounds were caused by their heads being severed by a sharp blade, and their heads are located very far from their bodies."

"There are only two possibilities for this to happen: one is that someone decapitated them and intentionally threw the heads far away."

"The other is that the opponent's weapon swing was so powerful that the heads flew off their necks due to inertia the moment they were severed..."

The forensic specialist's words caused the Inspector's frown to deepen, while the surrounding officers stood dazed.

Such immense strength that it sent heads flying? What kind of fairy tale autopsy result was this?

"Are you joking with me?" the Inspector questioned, wondering if the forensic specialist's professional competence was in question.

The room was riddled with bullet holes; by all appearances, a gunfight had taken place between two parties.

Yet this woman claimed most of the fatal wounds were caused by blades. It was simply absurd.

"My professionalism will not allow me to joke with you at a time like this. There are no other wounds on these people; the fatal injuries were caused by a sharp edge," the female forensic specialist said very seriously, clearly dissatisfied with the Inspector's skepticism.

The Inspector said in a mocking tone

"Madam, so according to you, these dozen or so people were armed with guns, yet they were all killed by one guy with a knife? And he even knocked their heads clean off!"

The female forensic specialist's face flushed red, and for a moment, she could not retort.

The condition of the corpses in the room was indeed too strange.

An officer approached to report

"Report! According to identity verification, these decapitated individuals are all members of Blackwater."

Upon hearing "Blackwater," the Inspector's expression shifted slightly.

As an FBI agent, he was very familiar with Blackwater.

Most Blackwater soldiers were composed of veteran special forces, and their strength was greater than that of ordinary professional soldiers.

Why would Blackwater personnel appear in a gang shootout, and why were they all dead?

This made the Inspector feel that something major had certainly occurred.

Just then, a shout suddenly rang out in the lounge.

"My God! How is this possible? God, is this real?!"

Everyone's gaze turned toward the table in the lounge.

A headless corpse was slumped over the table.

A male forensic specialist was standing beside the body, holding several unidentified red, fragmented objects in his hand.

He was the one who had shouted.

At this moment, the forensic specialist's hands were trembling, as if he had discovered something terrifying.

The Inspector immediately stepped forward to ask, "What happened?"

The forensic specialist turned around, his face filled with terror, and held the blood-soaked fragments toward the Inspector.

"God! This is a human skull. How could it turn into this!"

The crowd gasped collectively upon hearing his words.

If the forensic specialist hadn't said it was a human skull, they wouldn't have recognized what it was.

A human skull had been turned into tiny fragments; how was such a thing possible?

The Inspector glanced at the fragments held by the specialist, then walked to the table to examine them closely.

He discovered that many of these tiny skull fragments were stuck to the table.

The forensic specialist continued in a trembling voice

"This wasn't done with a meat grinder. His head was slammed against this table, causing the skull to shatter."

No matter how calm the Inspector was, he was stunned by the specialist's words.

"That's impossible. Did the opponent use an anti-materiel sniper rifle?"

It was possible for powerful heavy weaponry to blow a human head apart.

"No. Only an impact could produce this kind of trauma surface. His head must have hit this wooden table like a watermelon. The most terrifying part is... this table that was struck shows no damage at all. This is practically a miracle!"

The forensic specialist's explanation caused the atmosphere in the room to freeze.

No one spoke; a sense of dread rose in their hearts.

They could have treated the female specialist's findings as a joke.

But now, another specialist had identified that the skull had been crushed by impact.

It was impossible for both forensic specialists to be incompetent.

The crowd felt that what the female specialist had said earlier must also be true.

But how could this be?

What kind of person could take on a dozen Blackwater mercenaries with cold weapons?

And what kind of strength could smash a human skull into fragments against a wooden table without damaging the table itself?

None of the doubts could be explained.

"I... I'm going to report this. You all continue to secure the scene. Do not touch the bodies," the Inspector said, cold sweat pouring down his face.

His intuition told him this was an impossibility.

But the scene before him and the findings of the two specialists could not be fake.

This was no longer something he could handle; he had to report it.

The Scroll World.

As the sky began to dawn, Chen Feng finished a night of cultivation.

The light within his spiritual apertures remained unchanged from his last session.

Since reaching the second level of Qi Refining, his cultivation speed had become as slow as a snail's.

Now, he could only hope that Lin Wei could research a solution.

If Lin Wei couldn't find a way, he would have to risk leaving the Xingfeng Sect to cultivate elsewhere.

Without further thought on the matter, Chen Feng walked out of the secret chamber.

Not far from the exit, he saw a crowd of people gathered in an open area, numbering about several hundred.

Chen Feng guessed that these were the miners Liu Qian had just recruited.

Chen Feng saw expressions of joy on the faces of these mortals in the Scroll World.

Most of them had brought their families along; some even had mothers carrying toddlers on their backs within the line.

For the mortals of the Scroll World, being able to secure a job to provide food and shelter was a great happiness.

The wages Chen Feng offered were decent: three copper coins a day.

Other martial sects used mortal miners for almost nothing, providing only food.

Capitalist exploitation did not apply to the Scroll World; here, it was pure slavery.
