Detective Conan: I am a Tycoon in Tokyo

Chapter 3: My Porsche Is Gone

"You guy!"

Vodka was furious and wanted to teach Masakazu a lesson, but Gin stopped him.

"It seems your brain really has major problems; you're having another episode," Gin said in a cold tone.

Masakazu drank his juice, unbothered by Gin's words.

He was a transmigrator who had arrived in the world of Conan over a decade ago. Perhaps due to some side effects of the transmigration, his brain had become sluggish when he was five years old, and he was awake for less than half an hour a day.

His parents had searched for doctors all over the world, but no one could cure him.

Finally, they found the Organization. The Organization's medicine allowed Masakazu to wake up, and from then on, they became entangled with the Organization.

However, although the illness was cured, some side effects remained.

For instance, Masakazu became a "mental patient" in the eyes of the world.

But Masakazu never thought there was anything wrong with his brain.

He had been perfectly fine for a long time; what others perceived as "episodes," Masakazu interpreted as unleashing his true nature.

With such a good family background, if he didn't do as he pleased, wouldn't that be a waste of his status?

The reason he hadn't unleashed his nature before was simply because he was too young and couldn't do much, not because the Organization's medicine had messed up his head.

Over the years, however, Masakazu had grown accustomed to the misunderstandings of others.

If they say I'm crazy, then I'm crazy. Anyway, if I'm a mental patient, I can do as I please even more.

Masakazu said, "Anyway, don't come to me for anything unrelated to 'money.' I won't necessarily work for you."

Gin nodded.

He hadn't expected this young master to be particularly enthusiastic about the Organization's affairs anyway.

With his status, helping the Organization with things he was interested in was already a significant contribution.

Gin didn't intend to stay with Masakazu any longer.

He wasn't as leisurely as some young master who could waste time drinking and chatting.

After dealing with Akemi Miyano, there was still a troublesome person in the research lab who needed to be taken care of.

"Leaving without even saying goodbye?" Masakazu asked Gin.

Gin looked back at him, which counted as a goodbye.

Masakazu stood up, walked over to Gin, and said, "I heard there's a genius researcher in the lab?"

"What? You're interested in Sherry?" Gin asked.

Masakazu said, "I just heard she isn't very happy in the Organization. I wonder if I could invite her to work at my family's company."

"You want to poach the Organization's talent?" Gin looked at Masakazu with an unfriendly expression.

Masakazu shook his head. How could one call it poaching? This was normal business competition.

"Heh." Gin sneered. "Only the dead can leave the Organization. Besides, you just killed her sister; do you think she would choose to work for you?"

Masakazu was noncommittal toward Gin's words.

I only said I dealt with Akemi Miyano; I never said I killed her.

The two walked side by side in front, with Vodka trailing a step behind.

"How about doing me a favor?" Gin suddenly said.

"What favor?" Masakazu didn't refuse immediately.

Gin irritably shoved a cigarette into his mouth and said, "My car was stolen. With your influence in Japan, it should be easy for you to help me find it."

"Oh?" Masakazu asked, his expression unchanged. "What kind of car?"

"A black Porsche 356A. It's a great vintage car; it would be very troublesome to get another one," Gin said.

Gin wanted to peel the skin off that damn car thief layer by layer.

That was a car he cherished deeply.

Vodka stood by, trembling in fear. That car was essentially Gin's wife; the thief's fate would surely be miserable.

Masakazu asked, looking straight ahead, "Was it lost in front of the Mitsui convenience store?"

"How did you know?" Gin looked at Masakazu with sharp eyes.

He had indeed parked in front of the Mitsui convenience store, and when he came out after buying cigarettes, the car was gone.

"I will help you find the car."

Masakazu didn't answer Gin, only agreeing to his request for help.

The three of them took a black Toyota to the Organization's research lab.

They arrived at the lab just in time for dinner and headed to the cafeteria.

The researchers in the lab all wore white coats, so the three of them in black were quite conspicuous.

Gin's reputation here was quite high; upon seeing him, the researchers avoided him from afar, as if dodging a plague.

No one even dared to glance at the handsome stranger next to Gin.

The three walked straight up to a tea-haired female researcher.

Seeing the ominous figures, the female researcher lost her appetite. She hastily swallowed the food in her mouth and wanted to leave.

"Hello, Sherry." Masakazu blocked her path and took a business card from his pocket to hand to her.

"This is my business card. You can call me Masakazu. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Sherry glanced at Masakazu's card but didn't reach out to take it.

In her understanding, members of the Organization went to great lengths to hide their identities. What was up with this guy handing out business cards upon meeting?

Manager of Sumitomo Bank?

Do you just give your identity away to others so casually? And it seems you aren't wearing any disguise on your face either.

Sherry looked at Gin. Gin didn't react to the man's actions, instead staring at her coldly.

Since Sherry wouldn't take the card, Masakazu stuffed it into her pocket himself.

If Masakazu-sama gives you something, how could you not accept it?

"Sherry, your sister, Akemi Miyano, wanted to trade ten billion yen for your freedom and hers."

Sherry said with a cold face, "You wouldn't agree."

"Of course," Gin said. "So I killed her."

Masakazu raised an eyebrow, stepped back slightly, and shielded Gin and Vodka in front of him.

"Clatter!"

The tray was flung at Gin. Gin and Vodka were splattered with soup, and the hem of Masakazu's clothes was slightly soiled.

Facing the angry Sherry, Gin wasn't enraged; he just looked at her with cold eyes.

"It seems you need to calm down," Gin said. "Vodka, lock her in the gas chamber. Let her out once she's calmed down."

"Yes!"

Vodka stepped forward and dragged the struggling Sherry away.

The researchers in the cafeteria didn't dare to speak, eating quietly and leaving quietly, as if the commotion near Gin didn't exist.

Masakazu reminded Gin, "Treating your employees like this will cause problems."

"Heh." Gin sneered.

He had managed the Organization's forces in Japan for many years and had always been this way. Employees who were disobedient, unruly, or useless were simply killed.

In the Organization, no one was indispensable.

Masakazu shook his head.

You have to treat your employees like family.
