All-Attribute Martial Arts
Chapter 26: Spear Techniques
As soon as Zhou Baijun finished speaking, someone immediately called out a greeting and headed toward the hunting grounds with great enthusiasm.
Wang Teng's heart stirred, and he summoned his attribute panel.
【Comprehension】: 82 【Constitution】: 167 【Strength】: 2888 【Speed】: 1033 【Combat Skills】: Basic Fist Technique (Microscopic), Basic Movement Technique (Microscopic), Basic Sword Technique (Microscopic), Basic Saber Technique (Microscopic), Spear Technique (Proficient)
Over these past few days, not only had his various attributes increased, but a new entry, Spear Technique, had appeared in his combat skills column.
Furthermore, it had already reached the "Proficient" level.
At this moment, a wealth of knowledge regarding firearms filled Wang Teng's mind, and he felt his aim becoming incredibly precise, his vision gaining a certain sharpness.
The Spear Technique attribute came from the five bandits he had killed two days ago.
Those bandits were all Martial Apprentices who had only learned rudimentary fist and movement techniques, so the attributes they provided were quite limited; however, they used spears, and the Spear Technique attributes they dropped were substantial.
The five of them combined had directly pushed Wang Teng's Spear Technique to the Proficient level.
Killing people undoubtedly yielded the most attributes!
Just thinking about it was terrifying!
Aside from the attributes, Wang Teng had another harvest that day—Rune Guns!
Each of the five bandits carried a Rune Gun, but the leader actually had another one hidden on him. After the hostages escaped the building, following the principle of not letting anything go to waste... he looted the bodies!
【Wang Teng: Can I say this is just a good habit developed from playing video games? o(╯□╰)o】
Fortunately, the surveillance cameras had been destroyed by several professional bandits, which essentially provided Wang Teng with the most convenient conditions.
Thus, Wang Teng was actually concealing a lethal weapon on his person!
Having obtained the Spear Technique attribute, Wang Teng hadn't had the chance to test it yet. Hearing that guns could be used in the hunting grounds, his heart gave a sudden jolt.
"Brother Wang Teng, shall we go have some fun?" Xu Jie said, his eyes shining.
Yu Hao and Sun Gaoyan also looked eager to try.
Wang Teng smiled inwardly.
It seemed everyone was thinking along the same lines.
"Xiao Wei, are you coming?" Wang Teng asked Bai Wei, who was beside him.
"I'll pass. You guys play with your real guns, and I'll play with my little water gun!" Bai Wei said, waving a water gun she had pulled from somewhere.
"Uh... as long as you're happy." Wang Teng's eyelid twitched slightly as he said to Xu Jie and the others, "Then let's go."
Bai Wei joined a water gun squad of several girls.
The four of them arrived at the entrance of the hunting grounds, completed registration at the staff station, collected their guns, and stepped into the grounds.
Although they were Rune Guns, their power could not compare at all to the ones used by the bandits.
Even among Rune Guns, power varied from strong to weak; the strong ones could kill Martial Artists, while the weak ones could only be used to hunt the lowest grade of mutated beasts.
According to power levels, Rune Guns could be divided into one to nine stars.
The hunting guns here didn't even qualify as 1-star.
Yet, as Xu Jie and the others handled the guns, they acted as if they were touching peerless treasures.
The group walked through the hunting grounds.
The entire area was surrounded by wire fencing, which had been infused with rune power, making its defensive capabilities much higher than ordinary wire.
The light in the hunting grounds was somewhat dim; trees rose abruptly from the ground, their dense canopies blocking out the sky.
The ground was covered in a perennial accumulation of rotting leaves and branches, which crunched continuously underfoot.
"Is there no specialized cleaning crew for this hunting ground?" Xu Jie complained.
"Why clean it? It would be completely redundant. Many people come specifically for this kind of atmosphere; too much human intervention would ruin the aesthetic," Sun Gaoyan said.
"Hmm..." Xu Jie thought about it and nodded. "Makes sense!"
Yu Hao rolled his eyes. It had to be said that Xu Jie was usually a bit of an idiot and a clown.
*Bang!*
While they were chatting nonsense, a gunshot suddenly rang out loudly near their ears, startling them so much they nearly jumped out of their skins.
"Holy crap, Brother Wang Teng, why did you fire?" Xu Jie said, patting his chest.
Wang Teng tilted his chin slightly, and the three of them looked in that direction.
A large gray rabbit!
It lay sideways in the grass, already dead.
"A great start!" Xu Jie immediately burst into laughter.
Yu Hao and Sun Gaoyan looked at Wang Teng with astonished eyes; they hadn't noticed the rabbit appearing at all.
And that aim was truly beyond words—a single shot, one kill!
Xu Jie picked up the rabbit.
The group continued walking deeper into the hunting grounds, where the true paradise of wild animals lay.
An hour passed in the blink of an eye.
Xu Jie and the others were all carrying prey, appearing to have had a bountiful harvest.
"Movement ahead."
As soon as Wang Teng spoke, the three stopped in their tracks and immediately raised their guns.
Listening intently, they indeed heard faint sounds coming from not far ahead. They had long since grown used to Wang Teng's keen senses, so they reacted with an air of normalcy.
Each of them found a tree to hide behind.
"Quick, chase it! Don't let it get away!" someone shouted ahead.
Xu Jie and the others exchanged glances; it seemed they had encountered other hunters.
Just as they were about to give up, the bushes ahead rustled, causing them to freeze, and then an agile black shadow suddenly darted out.
The person who had shouted also came chasing after it.
"It's them!"
Xu Jie and the others saw that it was Zhou Baijun, Li Rongcheng, and the others.
Li Rongcheng was eager to show off in front of Zhou Baijun, firing his gun while running.
*Bang bang bang!*
All three shots missed. The black shadow darted left and right, moving with incredible agility.
"Li Rongcheng, if you can't hit it, don't just fire wildly! Wasting bullets is one thing, but what if you hit us?" Xu Jie shouted mockingly.
"Damn it, why are you guys here too!" Li Rongcheng cursed unluckily.
"Heh, this hunting ground isn't owned by your family. If you can come, so can we," Xu Jie retorted.
"You..."
"Quick, stop it! It's going to escape!"
Before Li Rongcheng could finish his sentence, Zhou Baijun suddenly barked an order.
"Whoa, Brother Wang Teng, it's a white fox! It's heading toward you!" Xu Jie cried out after catching a glimpse.
Wang Teng didn't want to intervene; this fox was Zhou Baijun's prey, and meddling in the middle would inevitably cause resentment.
But Li Rongcheng fired several more shots and still couldn't hit a thing.
"Whoever hits this fox, I'll grant them one condition!" Zhou Baijun shouted as she saw the white fox about to escape.
Watching the fox running toward him, Wang Teng felt speechless.
*You had a chance and you blew it!*
He had no choice but to act.
*Bang!*
One shot!
He had pre-aimed the fox's evasive trajectory, striking it squarely in the abdomen.
The white fox let out a miserable cry and fell from the tree trunk, hitting the ground with a thud.
"Haha, you hit it!"
Seeing the successful shot, Xu Jie was even happier than Wang Teng. He stepped out from behind the tree and laughed loudly at Li Rongcheng, laughing until the latter's face turned pale with anger.
"Piece of crap!" Li Rongcheng cursed.
Yu Hao and Sun Gaoyan walked over, circling the fox and clicking their tongues in admiration.
"This fox's fur is truly beautiful!"
Zhou Baijun walked over, knelt down, and stroked the fox's fur, saying happily, "Excellent. This fur will make a perfect scarf."
