All-Attribute Martial Arts
Chapter 17: Don't Leave After School
Wang Teng had an innocent look on his face, acting as if it had nothing to do with him, which caused Xu Jie and Yu Hao to burst into laughter once again.
Bai Wei was trying her best to hold back her laughter, struggling immensely.
As soon as they started laughing, she could no longer contain herself, letting out a snort and joining the two of them in a fit of laughter.
Li Rongcheng had been in a terrible mood for the past two days.
Yesterday, he had gone to the Rose Bar to have some fun, taking the opportunity to flirt with two socialites, intending to head to a hotel to "discuss life and ideals."
Just as he was about to successfully charm them, a group of thugs burst through the door, shouting loudly.
"Which one is Li Rongcheng? If you've got the guts, get out here!"
Li Rongcheng was furious at that moment. He stood up abruptly and cursed, "I am Li Rongcheng! Which house failed to tie their dog leash properly and let these mad dogs loose?"
The group was also fuming with rage. Without a second thought, they rushed forward and stuffed Li Rongcheng into a sack.
Li Rongcheng probably hadn't expected that this group would consist entirely of junior or intermediate martial disciples.
Although he was an advanced martial disciple, facing a crowd of junior and intermediate disciples, he found that two fists were no match for many hands.
Furthermore, he hadn't expected them to actually strike him directly. Caught off guard and lacking experience, he fell into their trap instantly.
The group knocked Li Rongcheng unconscious and brought him to an abandoned warehouse.
The sinister youth, Zhao Gangbao, was waiting there. As soon as he saw the tied-up Li Rongcheng being brought in, he didn't even bother opening the sack; he simply signaled his subordinates to go over and give him a brutal beating.
Only after they finished did they open the sack.
Upon looking, they realized the person was wrong!
The group looked at each other in confusion, and Zhao Gangbao cursed in a rage, venting all his frustration onto Li Rongcheng.
What followed was another agonizingly brutal beating.
At that moment, Li Rongcheng was completely bewildered.
*Who am I? Where am I? Where am I going?*
After Zhao Gangbao and the others finished venting their anger, they left, leaving Li Rongcheng lying flat on his back on the floor of the abandoned warehouse, shedding tears of grievance and helplessness.
From beginning to end, he had no idea what had actually happened.
Later, with trembling hands, he pulled out his phone and dialed 120, which finally got him sent to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Fortunately, it was only external injuries, and since Li Rongcheng was an advanced martial disciple, his physique was several times stronger than an ordinary person's, allowing him to recover quickly.
That was why he was able to come to school today, bouncing around as if nothing had happened.
However, a fire was simmering in his heart, making him look at everyone with disdain.
As the morning passed, every classmate who saw him gave him a strange look, wanting to laugh but not daring to.
A few students who laughed secretly were given a harsh beating by him.
Now, as he came to the cafeteria to eat, he heard a burst of laughter as soon as he went upstairs, and the fire in his heart instantly flared up.
His face turned a shade of green with anger.
"Damn it! What are you laughing at!" Li Rongcheng marched aggressively toward Wang Teng and the others.
Xu Jie was no pushover; he stood up and retorted, "I'll laugh how I want, what's it to you!"
Everyone knew each other's backgrounds. Although the Li family was significantly stronger than the Xu family, it was impossible for family matters to escalate into a life-and-death struggle just because of a conflict between two juniors.
Matters between juniors were to be settled by the juniors themselves.
This was the unspoken rule everyone accepted.
If the elders stepped in, it would be like throwing their own dignity on the ground to be trampled.
They were all people of status who valued face above all else; they wouldn't compromise their reputation over such a trivial matter.
In the past, Xu Jie might have been a bit intimidated facing Li Rongcheng, an advanced martial disciple, but now, believing he had Wang Teng backing him up, he naturally wasn't afraid.
"Xu Jie, you've grown quite bold, daring to speak to me like that?"
Li Rongcheng gave a sinister grin and suddenly threw a punch toward Xu Jie's face.
Xu Jie was dismayed.
Li Rongcheng wasn't following the script!
Among rich heirs, shouldn't there be some verbal sparring first?
By jumping straight to physical violence, where was the dignity of us rich heirs supposed to be kept?
Little did he know that Li Rongcheng had been in a rage all day; even the slightest provocation would cause an explosion.
The punch carried significant force, the wind from it making Xu Jie's cheek sting.
He had no doubt that if this punch had landed solidly, his nose would have collapsed entirely.
"I'm screwed!"
Xu Jie couldn't help but close his eyes.
However, the expected pain never came. He opened a small slit with his eyes and saw a hand firmly grasping Li Rongcheng's wrist, preventing him from moving an inch.
"Young Master Li, anger is bad for your health!" Wang Teng said leisurely.
"Wang Teng!"
Li Rongcheng was shocked. Everyone knew Wang Teng was notoriously uneducated and useless, yet the man was now displaying impressive martial prowess.
Yuan Zhenghua was also standing beside Li Rongcheng, his eyes wide with an expression of disbelief.
He used to be a friend of Wang Teng and the others.
However, he had later sided with Li Rongcheng and cut ties with Wang Teng's group.
But in all this time, he had never realized that Wang Teng possessed such strength.
Xu Jie recovered, standing behind Wang Teng with lingering fear, and gave Yuan Zhenghua a triumphant glare, mocking him for being blind.
Li Rongcheng struggled violently, only to find that no matter how much strength he exerted, Wang Teng's hand was like steel, firmly clamping his wrist so that he could not break free.
"Let go!"
Li Rongcheng's face turned ashen as he barked in a low voice.
Wang Teng immediately released his grip.
Li Rongcheng was still pushing backward with force, causing him to fall flat on his buttocks on the ground.
"Young Master Li, why are you so careless? Get up quickly, the floor is cold!" Wang Teng said with feigned concern.
"You!"
Li Rongcheng pointed at Wang Teng, too angry to know what to say.
He scrambled up from the ground and said fiercely, "Wang Teng, I didn't expect you to be hiding your strength! Regardless of the reason, we have officially crossed paths today. Do you have the guts to fight me?"
"Fine!" Wang Teng withdrew his smile and replied, looking him straight in the eye.
"Good. After school this afternoon, at the gymnasium, we settle this!" After saying this, Li Rongcheng turned and walked downstairs.
Yuan Zhenghua glanced at Wang Teng but didn't dare meet his gaze, hurriedly following Li Rongcheng.
"Young Master Li, are we not eating?"
"Eat my ass! I'm full from being angry."
...
After Li Rongcheng left.
Bai Wei asked worriedly, "Brother Wang Teng, are you really going to fight him?"
Before Wang Teng could speak, Yu Hao said first, "In martial arts disputes, since you've agreed, you must fight. That's the rule."
"Little Mouse, that statement of yours is incorrect!" Wang Teng suddenly laughed.
Yu Hao looked at him in confusion.
Only then did Wang Teng add, "Rules are made by men. Whether to follow them or not depends entirely on oneself; as long as you don't go against your own heart, it's fine."
Yu Hao listened with a sense of muddled confusion, unable to grasp his meaning.
"Brother Wang Teng, are you sure you can beat Li Rongcheng?" Xu Jie asked.
"If I weren't sure, would I have agreed?" Wang Teng asked back with a smile.
"Alright, don't worry. Sit down and finish your meal, then go back and rest. We'll deal with the matter after school."
"When you duel after school, we want to go too," Bai Wei said.
"Deal!"
In the afternoon, the three classes were Physics, Mathematics, and Biology.
During every class, the teachers and classmates dropped many attribute bubbles, causing Wang Teng's academic attributes to rise once again.
He didn't take the duel with Li Rongcheng to heart at all, simply going about his business as usual.
