After Understanding the Language of Beasts, the Villainess Is Guaranteed a Heartthrob Script

Chapter 50: Battle of Revenge

Jiang Yuan turned her head to look at Lou Qinglin, her eyes bright and candid. "Director Lou, please pose the question."

Lou Qinglin smiled gently. "Miss Jiang, please feel free to express yourself as you wish."

Jiang Yuan raised an eyebrow slightly. She took a fountain pen from the pen holder and spread it across her palm. "Little Ink Swallow, help me deliver this pen to Director Lou."

"Okay!" Receiving the command, Little Ink Swallow nimbly adjusted its flight altitude, using its sharp claws to precisely snatch the pen from Jiang Yuan's palm before flapping its wings and flying straight toward Lou Qinglin.

It circled in front of Lou Qinglin. Seeing that the man did not move, it turned back to tell Jiang Yuan, "Yuan Yuan, tell him to extend his left hand."

The smile in Jiang Yuan's eyes deepened. "Alright."

Little Ink Swallow specifically demanding that Lou Qinglin extend his left hand was a form of proof.

What a clever swallow.

"Director Lou, Little Ink Swallow wants you to extend your left hand so it can give you the pen," Jiang Yuan conveyed the swallow's meaning.

However, Lou Qinglin did not extend his left hand. Instead, he deliberately extended his right hand, his expression tinged with a hint of testing.

Seeing this, Jiang Yuan's slender eyebrows arched slightly.

Little Ink Swallow circled in the air, its tiny black bead-like eyes scanning the scene. After careful discernment, it decisively snatched the pen and flew back to Jiang Yuan's side.

Seeing this, a look of astonishment flashed across Lou Qinglin's face. "Why did it go back?"

Little Ink Swallow complained proudly, "Yuan Yuan, this human is being dishonest! I told him to use his left hand, but he used his right!"

"Director Lou," Jiang Yuan's calm voice carried a hint of profound meaning, "the intelligence of small animals is actually beyond our imagination. They can distinguish left from right. It flew back because you extended your right hand."

Lou Qinglin blinked, lowered his right hand, and raised his left palm.

Only then did Little Ink Swallow gently drop the pen into his left palm.

Having witnessed the interaction between Jiang Yuan and the swallow with his own eyes, Lou Qinglin believed her words implicitly. A solemn expression crept onto his brow, and an invisible pressure, like a massive boulder, weighed upon his heart.

He called Si Heng into his office and, with a serious expression, entrusted him with this critical mission. "Miss Jiang knows the location of the dogfighting arena. She will assist in your operation. You must ensure Miss Jiang's safety at all costs."

Si Heng replied solemnly, "Understood."

**

The dark night shrouded the entire city as police cars drove toward the outskirts through the dim darkness.

The dogfighting arena was located in the suburbs, surrounded by overgrown weeds. Inside the towering walls, everything was in disarray; stolen and snatched dogs were imprisoned in rusted wire cages.

They huddled in the crowded cages, their bodies covered in scars and their eyes dull and lifeless.

A few thugs stood guard there, smoking cigarettes while scrolling through videos on their phones.

In a blue corrugated iron shack not far away, the air was thick with noise, and the faint sound of barking could be heard.

Little Ink Swallow returned from scouting. It flew through a police car window and landed on Jiang Yuan's shoulder, folding its wings. "Yuan Yuan, there are many people inside that blue house, and four humans outside."

After saying that, it added, "By the way, I found Danzai. He is injured too."

Jiang Yuan frowned slightly.

Tutu was also somewhat agitated.

Jiang Yuan patted its head soothingly and relayed the news brought by Little Ink Swallow to Si Heng.

Si Heng looked into her eyes and said in a low voice, "I understand."

He used his walkie-talkie to inform the team of the situation at the arena. Upon receiving a response, he issued a heavy command: "Prepare for action."

Si Heng stepped out of the car and noticed Jiang Yuan opening the car door. He frowned. "Miss Jiang, you and Xiao Xu stay in the car and wait for us."

"Don't worry, I can handle myself." Jiang Yuan had already been bargaining with the system, preparing to exchange 15 points for one hour of combat prowess.

She also wanted to contribute to saving the dogs.

However, Si Heng disagreed. "Director Lou repeatedly instructed that we must ensure your safety."

Jiang Yuan sighed and could only relent. "I understand."

All the officers checked their tactical gear, weapons in hand, their expressions cold and their eyes determined as they cautiously approached the dogfighting arena.

Under the cover of darkness, a portion of the officers quickly surrounded the arena, sealing off all possible escape routes.

Si Heng led the main force to the perimeter wall and nimbly climbed over.

A blond thug on guard duty sensed something was wrong and looked around suspiciously.

Upon seeing a uniformed officer, the blond thug's face changed, terror creeping into his eyes. Just as he was about to scream, a strong, powerful arm wrapped around his neck, and his eyes rolled back as he lost consciousness.

An officer immediately took the blond thug from Si Heng.

Si Heng followed up by choking out another thug.

The four lookouts were all subdued, and things were proceeding smoothly until an unexpected turn occurred.

A middle-aged man walked out of the blue iron shack and happened to witness the scene. He shouted in a panic, "The cops are here! Run!"

Hearing this, the gamblers sitting in the stands scrambled to flee, clutching their chips and cash.

Upon learning of the situation, the staff of the dogfighting arena changed colors instantly. They exchanged glances; some grabbed weapons, while others grabbed money.

Several people in charge of the fights even released vicious dogs, intending to have them attack the police.

The man in charge of the arena had a thumb-sized scar on his left cheek, known to all as Scarface.

He pulled out a machete and charged toward the entrance of the enclosure. "Anyone who dares to wreck my place, I'll hack them down!"

Scarface even incited the gamblers: "Whoever can catch these cops, I'll give them half of this arena!"

As soon as these words were spoken, the fleeing gamblers' eyes turned red with greed, and they began searching frantically for weapons.

Most of the people at the arena were desperate criminals; unable to find weapons, they began attacking the officers with their fists, fighting recklessly.

As more and more people joined the fray, the situation became chaotic. Just as Si Heng's expression turned as heavy as iron and he prepared to fire his weapon, a sudden burst of angry barking erupted.

The imprisoned dogs had been released by someone unknown. Like arrows shot from a bow, they rushed into the arena, frantically biting at the villains who had once abused them.

Piercing screams rose one after another within the arena, cutting through the silence of the night, filled with terror and despair.

This was a desperate counterattack from the oppressed, a war of vengeance for the injured puppies who had long suppressed their rage.

Noticing the dogs attacking the villains, the officers gradually retreated from the enclosure, watching the scene with complex expressions.

Si Heng's brow furrowed. As he walked out of the enclosure, he caught sight of a figure quietly slipping away, and a flash of realization crossed his deep eyes.

Inside the enclosure, the villains and gamblers lay on the ground like spineless worms, gasping for breath.

Their bodies were covered in crisscrossing scratches and bite wounds from canine teeth; blood soaked their clothes, leaving them in a wretched state.

Si Heng returned to the police car and gazed deeply at the girl in the backseat.

Meeting the man's scrutinizing gaze, Jiang Yuan blinked and asked calmly, "What is it?"

"You were the one who released those dogs." His tone was not a question, but an affirmation.

Jiang Yuan's gaze was steady as she said softly, "I think that is their right."

Little treasures, Happy Winter Solstice.
