After Feeding the Top-Tier Orcs, I Became the Interstellar Galaxy's Darling

Chapter 4: The District Mayor Captured by Lamb Skewers

Liang He wanted to stay to cooperate with Cedric's treatment, but since most of the station's equipment and food were provided for the beasts, she needed to make additional purchases.

Last night, Xu Yi had specifically asked her what supplies she needed so he could deliver them along with the bed.

"Someone will be delivering supplies later. I've also prepared the medicine Cedric needs. Do you think he'll come back?"

Xu Yi handed the medicine they had prepared last night to Liang He, his gaze involuntarily drifting toward the direction where Cedric had disappeared, filled with a mix of anticipation and nervousness.

If Cedric ultimately didn't return, their excitement would have been entirely in vain.

"Just leave it with me for now."

Although she had spent a friendly night with Cedric, this was Liang He's first time interacting with an interstellar animal, and she needed to learn more.

"At worst, I'll go find him myself and apply the medicine for him in the wild."

Hearing her say this, Xu Yi thought it was a viable plan—it was certainly better than being unable to approach him at all.

"Alright. I have other work to do and need to head back to the main service area first. Can you handle it on your own?"

This area was Cedric's territory, and he disliked humans approaching, so there were no staff members stationed in the Seventh Service Area.

"Don't worry."

Despite Liang He's confident expression, Xu Yi and his colleagues in the control room were all secretly worried about this petite and fragile Blue Star human.

After seeing Xu Yi off, Liang He swiped some of the lamb legs she had prepared for Cedric, intending to make lamb skewers.

"I wonder when the supply delivery will arrive. I hope it's in time for me to sprinkle the seasoning on the skewers."

Liang He sighed softly. Had she known, she would have packed all the seasonings in her backpack.

Nutrient paste? Impossible! She couldn't stand it at all!

The foodie essence of a Blue Star human was etched into her very bones!

"I shouldn't be too late, should I?"

Just as Liang He had found a few small wooden strips, shaved them into skewers, and was threading the meat, a low, slightly magnetic voice sounded in her ear.

Huo An looked down, and what met his eyes was an exquisite, petite face. Her skin looked so delicate that it felt as if it could bruise with a single touch, causing him to involuntarily soften his voice and lower his gaze.

"Hello, I am Huo An."

Hearing the introduction, Liang He hurriedly stood up from her chair. Looking at the tall man with sharp brows and bright eyes, she became acutely aware of the height difference between them.

Among Blue Star humans, she was considered quite tall, yet standing next to Huo An, she had to tilt her head back just to meet his eyes.

Honestly, her neck was getting quite tired.

"Hello, my name is Liang He."

By quietly taking two steps back, Liang He finally resolved her neck crisis.

Huo An, who had seen her little movement, and the colleagues in the control room all thought the same thing: *As expected, I (the District Chief) scared the petite, cute Blue Star human!*

"Mm, I've come to deliver your supplies."

Realizing that Liang He might not recognize him, Huo An didn't bother with further introductions and instead began unloading items from the aircraft.

Ever since Liang He mentioned last night that she was staying to treat Cedric, Huo An knew he wouldn't be able to see her for a while. Thus, he had taken on the task of delivering the supplies just for a chance to see her.

"Thank you. You've worked hard."

Seeing Huo An busy at work, Liang He felt a bit embarrassed and wanted to help. However, the impression of Blue Star humans being incredibly fragile was deeply ingrained in his mind, and Huo An refused to let her lift a finger.

In the end, Liang He could only dig out the seasonings he had brought, intending to reward her hardworking colleague with roasted lamb.

After Huo An finished the clattering work of assembling the oversized double bed, he was just about to ask if she needed help making the bed when he suddenly caught a strong, delicious aroma.

"What is... this?"

Using whatever was at hand, Liang He had somehow cobbled together a makeshift grill. The lamb skewers were rolling over the charcoal, sizzling as the fat rendered out. As Liang He sprinkled the seasoning bit by bit, the mouth-watering scent of roasted meat instantly filled the air.

"Mmm... lamb skewers."

Suddenly remembering that she had "snatched food from a tiger's mouth," Liang He's cheeks flushed slightly. She held up a cooked skewer to Huo An, offering a cute smile in an attempt to charm her way out of it.

Huo An inhaled the aroma of the lamb skewers and, as if possessed, took one and took a bite. The flavor lingered across his palate.

He finally understood why Blue Star humans were so unwilling to drink nutrient paste. What kind of bitter life had he been living before?!

"How is the taste?"

Since they weren't on Blue Star, the barbecue seasonings were limited, and Liang He waited nervously for the diner's feedback.

"It's delicious."

Huo An looked at Liang He's pitifully small amount of skewers, then glanced at the lamb prepared for Cedric in the corner.

"How about... you roast all of those as well?"

Since Cedric didn't care for it anyway, it was better to let them finish it so it wouldn't go to waste.

To be honest, what Liang He had prepared wasn't even enough to fill the gaps in his teeth.

"Okay!"

Having successfully captured District Chief Huo An's stomach, a jubilant Liang He dragged the lamb over. She brandished a small knife, ready to get to work, which startled Huo An into quickly finishing his skewer and standing up to help.

A Blue Star human was so fragile and small; how could she do such heavy labor?

Of course, he would do it!

In the control room, the staff members watching the District Chief be conquered by a single lamb skewer thought: *So, just how delicious are those skewers?! We want to try them too, wahhh...*

"Just eating skewers isn't enough. Why don't I roast a lamb leg and make some lamb soup too?"

After learning about Huo An's appetite, Liang He looked at the wooden skewers before her. Estimating they wouldn't be enough to satisfy such a large appetite, she decided to add two more dishes.

"Anything is fine."

Perhaps the shock of the lamb skewers still lingered; he didn't object to her suggestion, only showing anticipation.

Following Liang He's instructions, Huo An processed the lamb leg and the meat, then became the "fire master," controlling the temperature and size of the charcoal.

Meanwhile, Liang He used the available seasonings to marinate the lamb leg. While waiting for it to marinate, she started simmering the lamb soup.

"Are all Blue Star humans this good at making delicious food?"

Watching the dancing charcoal illuminate the lamb leg until it turned golden, the air was already thick with a meaty aroma that made him swallow repeatedly.

"We all know how to eat, but cooking depends on talent."

Being a great diner does not necessarily make one a great chef.

Huo An nodded understandingly. *Understood. Liang He's rarity level has risen once again!*

"Alright, Brother Huo, try this and see if the seasoning is right."

Liang He cut a small piece of the roasted lamb leg and handed it to him.

Having been unable to wait any longer to enjoy the food, he ignored the heat and popped it into his mouth immediately.

The tender, juicy roasted lamb exploded in his mouth. As his tongue sensed the unique charred aroma produced by the charcoal, Huo An instantly understood the meaning of satisfaction.

"This is truly magnificent!"

As Huo An couldn't help but exclaim, Liang He also began her lunch. Meanwhile, the staff watching everything from the control room wept silently, gritting their teeth and complaining about Huo An's ungentlemanly behavior of eating alone.

Feeling a sudden chill down his spine, Huo An was immediately distracted by the lamb soup Liang He handed him. After one sip, his whole body felt warm and cozy.

Just as he was about to ask for another bowl, a thunderous roar echoed through the entire service area.

"Awoooo!"
