After Feeding the Top-Tier Orcs, I Became the Interstellar Galaxy's Darling

Chapter 8: The Azure Falcon's Little Scheme

Liang He was woken up by the licking of the Ink-Gold King Tiger's fur. The long hair she had so painstakingly saved from the jaws of the Azure Blue Falcon yesterday was nearly being stripped away by this fellow again.

"Mm?"

As she opened her eyes in a daze, a massive tiger head filled her entire field of vision, obscuring everything else.

"Cedric, stop licking! If you keep going, my hairline won't survive!"

She did not want her hairline to recede and turn her into a bald person, only to have to fly back to Blue Star for a hair transplant.

"Awoo?"

The "Big Brain Axe" blinked its tiger eyes aggrievedly, its tail drooping listlessly on the ground. Beside it, the Azure Blue Falcon began flapping its wings and screeching, seemingly mocking him.

"Roar!"

Annoyed to death, Cedric turned and let out a roar toward Langdon, making Liang He think an earthquake was imminent.

"Alright, alright, be good and don't be angry. Langdon didn't mean any harm."

Having to resolve a dispute between two giants first thing in the morning, Liang He let out a deep sigh.

They say that if children don't get along, it is mostly due to the lack of virtue in their parents; she could not afford to be an unethical keeper.

"Langdon, you be good too, okay? It's so wonderful to be good friends with Cedric. You both looked so cool fighting together yesterday!"

Speaking of yesterday's battle, Liang He suddenly realized she had forgotten to record it. However, since there were fierce beasts in the footage, it probably wouldn't be allowed to be posted on the Star Network.

Since she wanted them to live in harmony, Liang He felt that a common enemy might be a good choice.

However, given the capabilities of the sanctuary, it was unlikely that fierce beasts would appear again. She would have to think of a new method.

"I've got it! Cedric, Langdon, let's go hunting together! I'm so hungry, I'm practically starving to death."

Liang He pretended to be extremely hungry, scaring both Cedric and Langdon into leaning forward to sniff her scent to confirm her safety.

"Hey, did the Marshal and the Commander really get fooled by her?"

"Not quite. There's a saying on Blue Star: 'concern leads to confusion.' They are just worried about Liang He."

"Exactly, exactly. I feel like Lord Cedric and Lord Langdon are more like they are raising this Blue Star person, like a fragile little pet."

Comparing the massive size of the beasts to Liang He's stature, such a description wasn't entirely inaccurate—anyway, both Liang He and the beasts seemed quite to enjoy it.

Liang He led the tiger and the eagle through the mountains and forests. The Azure Blue Falcon was mainly responsible for spotting prey, while the Ink-Gold King Tiger served as the main force.

As for Liang He, she naturally acted as a bystander, taking the opportunity to record their majestic moments.

"Not bad, not bad. Photos taken with professional equipment really do look good."

She had previously reported her intention to create a Star Network account to Huo An, so he had specially arranged for the best equipment to be bought for her. After all, since the pictures would be released in the name of the sanctuary, she shouldn't embarrass the Federation.

"Cedric and Langdon are cooperating so wonderfully!"

Liang He offered constant praise. Even though Cedric and Langdon, as fierce beasts, could not understand her words, beasts are extremely sensitive to emotions, and they worked even harder as a result.

It wasn't until Liang He was satisfied with her filming that Cedric delivered the final fatal blow to the prey, successfully taking it down.

The ordinary animals in the sanctuary were also classified as protected species; Cedric and Langdon could eat them, but Liang He could not.

After all, they were part of the ecological chain, and Liang He could not disrupt that chain.

"Eh? Langdon, is this fish you caught for me?"

Just as Liang He was wondering what else there was to eat in the service area, Langdon actually caught several large fish from the river, instantly solving her lunch problem.

"You're amazing! Love you!"

Seeing the big fish, Liang He was overjoyed. She planted several kisses on his little head, making the eagle feel quite shy.

"Roar!"

Seeing the scheming Langdon intercept the prize, Cedric let out two dissatisfied roars and turned around, intending to go to the river to catch a few more fish for Liang He.

"Oh dear, Cedric, your wound hasn't healed yet. You can't touch the water!"

Liang He hadn't expected that the two beasts, who had been cooperating so well in the hunt, would immediately start fighting again over her food, so she hurriedly tried to soothe them.

"Awoo..."

Aggrieved.

"Alright, alright, alright. Once your wound is healed, I will only eat the prey brought back by Cedric, okay?"

After much persuasion, Liang He finally managed to soothe the "Big Brain Axe." She wiped the sweat from her forehead wearily; coaxing beasts was truly a job that required both skill and physical strength!

"This is hilarious. Since when did the Commander become so good at coaxing young ladies? He's even using schemes!"

"I never realized Lord Langdon was so calculating before. The Marshal is truly pitiful; his emotional intelligence has been crushed again."

"It's probably because of their beast forms. After all, when they are in their fierce beast states, no one can get close to them, so naturally, no one notices his little schemes."

The control room had been monitoring Liang He and the others' movements, so every action they took was clearly visible.

The prey captured by Cedric and Langdon was quite large and difficult to carry back, so Liang He simply processed it on the spot, planning to wait until they finished eating before leaving.

Meanwhile, Liang He opened her light computer and created a new account on the Star Network.

"What should I name it?"

Liang He suffered from a chronic case of indecision regarding names. She thought for a long time, and it wasn't until the two beasts had finished more than half of their prey that she finally made up her mind.

"Decided! The Fluffy Keeper!"

Acting on her decision, once the account name was set, Liang He selected and processed the photos she took today and posted them to the Star Network.

Once the upload was confirmed successful, Cedric and Langdon were also full. Liang He placed the fish at the back of the aircraft and began the walk back with the tiger and the eagle.

As for why she didn't ride Langdon back? Liang He felt that her little heart needed to be handled with care.

"Cedric, Langdon, look!"

On the way back, Liang He made a detour to pick up the bottles she had left out to collect morning dew. She shook a half-full bottle of dew, her lips curling into a satisfied smile as she showed them her results.

"Skree!"

Great!

"Awoo!"

Amazing!

After safely escorting Liang He back to the service area, Cedric and Langdon exchanged a glance, turned, and ran back into the forest, disappearing from sight.

"Interstellar technology is quite advanced, but the food and drink situation is a bit of a struggle."

Liang He had been eating meat for the past two days and felt a bit greasy. She planned to use the freshly collected morning dew to brew some tea to cut through the oiliness.

"You're probably the only one who has the mood to think about eating and drinking."

Startled by the sudden voice, Liang He froze for a moment. Looking up, she saw Xu Yi carrying a medical kit.

Was he here to deliver medicine?

Xu Yi acted cautiously, peeking into the treatment room. Once he confirmed that the two big shots—who recognized no one but Liang He—were not there, he felt relieved and found a seat.

"Here, the medicine for Cedric and Langdon. There are also supplies for you on the aircraft, and I've brought your luggage from the dormitory as well."

Yesterday in the control room, Huo An had noticed Liang He mentioning that her things were still in the dormitory, so he specifically instructed Xu Yi to bring them along.

Since Cedric's wound hadn't healed and they now had an additional Azure Blue Falcon, it was likely that Liang He wouldn't return to the main service area for a while.

"Dr. Xu, you are such a good person!"

Without waiting for Xu Yi to say more, Liang He rushed straight to the aircraft, beginning to calculate what supplies she had and what delicious things she could make.

Left standing there, Xu Yi watched Liang He's wind-like figure in a daze and couldn't help but sigh.

"As expected of someone who can subdue fierce beasts—her efficiency is incredible!"

Haha, it's over. The Marshal has been completely outmaneuvered by the Commander's schemes.
