Chapter 8: The Azure Falcon's Little Scheme

Liang He was woken up by the licking of the Ink-Gold King Tiger's fur. The long hair she had so painstakingly saved from the jaws of the Azure Blue Falcon yesterday was nearly being stripped away by this fellow again.

"Mm?"

As she opened her eyes in a daze, a massive tiger head filled her entire field of vision, obscuring everything else.

"Cedric, stop licking! If you keep going, my hairline won't survive!"

She did not want her hairline to recede and turn her into a bald person, only to have to fly back to Blue Star for a hair transplant.

"Awoo?"

The "Big Brain Axe" blinked its tiger eyes aggrievedly, its tail drooping listlessly on the ground. Beside it, the Azure Blue Falcon began flapping its wings and screeching, seemingly mocking him.

"Roar!"

Annoyed to death, Cedric turned and let out a roar toward Langdon, making Liang He think an earthquake was imminent.

"Alright, alright, be good and don't be angry. Langdon didn't mean any harm."

Having to resolve a dispute between two giants first thing in the morning, Liang He let out a deep sigh.

They say that if children don't get along, it is mostly due to the lack of virtue in their parents; she could not afford to be an unethical keeper.

"Langdon, you be good too, okay? It's so wonderful to be good friends with Cedric. You both looked so cool fighting together yesterday!"

Speaking of yesterday's battle, Liang He suddenly realized she had forgotten to record it. However, since there were fierce beasts in the footage, it probably wouldn't be allowed to be posted on the Star Network.

Since she wanted them to live in harmony, Liang He felt that a common enemy might be a good choice.

The control room had been monitoring Liang He and the others' movements, so every action they took was clearly visible.

The prey captured by Cedric and Langdon was quite large and difficult to carry back, so Liang He simply processed it on the spot, planning to wait until they finished eating before leaving.

Meanwhile, Liang He opened her light computer and created a new account on the Star Network.

"What should I name it?"

On the way back, Liang He made a detour to pick up the bottles she had left out to collect morning dew. She shook a half-full bottle of dew, her lips curling into a satisfied smile as she showed them her results.

After safely escorting Liang He back to the service area, Cedric and Langdon exchanged a glance, turned, and ran back into the forest, disappearing from sight.

"Interstellar technology is quite advanced, but the food and drink situation is a bit of a struggle."

Liang He had been eating meat for the past two days and felt a bit greasy. She planned to use the freshly collected morning dew to brew some tea to cut through the oiliness.

"You're probably the only one who has the mood to think about eating and drinking."

Startled by the sudden voice, Liang He froze for a moment. Looking up, she saw Xu Yi carrying a medical kit.

Was he here to deliver medicine?

Xu Yi acted cautiously, peeking into the treatment room. Once he confirmed that the two big shots—who recognized no one but Liang He—were not there, he felt relieved and found a seat.

"Here, the medicine for Cedric and Langdon. There are also supplies for you on the aircraft, and I've brought your luggage from the dormitory as well."

Yesterday in the control room, Huo An had noticed Liang He mentioning that her things were still in the dormitory, so he specifically instructed Xu Yi to bring them along.

Since Cedric's wound hadn't healed and they now had an additional Azure Blue Falcon, it was likely that Liang He wouldn't return to the main service area for a while.

Without waiting for Xu Yi to say more, Liang He rushed straight to the aircraft, beginning to calculate what supplies she had and what delicious things she could make.

Haha, it's over. The Marshal has been completely outmaneuvered by the Commander's schemes.
