Chapter 6: Bullying My Big Kitty? Take This!

With her attention entirely focused on the Ink-Gold King Tiger and the others, Liang He didn't hear Hoan's command at all.

After seeing a third hyena appear from out of nowhere, she pulled out her weapon without hesitation—a slingshot.

"How dare you bully my big kitty! Take this!"

With a *whoosh*, the slingshot launched a projectile toward the hyena. With a *pfft* sound, the hyena wobbled, its limbs grew unsteady, and it actually collapsed right there.

"What's going on? What is that thing Liang He is holding? She actually took down a hyena in one shot?!"

The people in the control room were seeing a slingshot for the first time. They never expected that such a small slingshot could actually bring down a violent beast!

In truth, the secret lay primarily in the projectiles.

"Good thing I was quick-witted, otherwise the big kitty and the others would have been hurt again."

Ever since learning about the existence of violent beasts, Liang He had specifically prepared a slingshot as a portable weapon. She had also personally formulated the projectiles, which were primarily designed for anesthesia.

The moment the projectile hit the hyena, it exploded, instantly enveloping the creature in a massive dose of anesthetic. Forget one hyena—even an elephant might not have been able to withstand it.

"As expected, even Lord Langdon has fallen?"

Compared to the guard force, who were being hit by the impact of her beauty, the people in the control room were much more composed. Their worldview was stabilizing as they watched.

Suddenly being stroked, Langdon's massive avian body trembled slightly. His two talons instinctively moved outward, only to silently move back again.

"Lord Langdon lowered his head on his own because he saw Liang He was too short to reach his head!"

"Good heavens, am I really seeing a novel-style plot where a superior being voluntarily lowers himself?"

"Friend, shipping everything will only lead to your downfall."

Completely unaware that she and Langdon were being shipped as a couple, Liang He looked up at the Azure Blue Falcon, which was even taller than her, and grinned so wide her mouth nearly split.

It was her first time seeing such a large falcon. She wondered what it would feel like to sit on him and fly into the sky.

Unaware that Liang He was fantasizing about riding their battlefield's top commander, Lord Langdon, into the sky, the guard force members departed once they had cleaned up the battlefield.

Mainly, they were afraid that if they didn't leave, a jealous Cedric would turn his fury toward them.

"Awoo!"

Cedric opened his mouth wide, but only lightly nipped at the hem of Liang He's trousers, pulling her toward himself. It was obvious he did not want her having too much contact with the Azure Blue Falcon.

"Oh dear, oh dear, Cedric, don't be so petty. I'm just petting Langdon."

Seeing Liang He being pulled away, Langdon also became unwilling. His beak clamped onto the back of Liang He's collar, and the two beasts began to argue.
