Chapter 6: Bullying My Big Kitty? Take This!

A beastman's combat instinct is etched into their very bones. Even though they have now transformed into ferocious beasts and no longer possess human consciousness, when facing a violent beast, they will still step forward without hesitation to kill it!

Soaring high in the sky, the Azure Blue Falcon spread its wings, which seemed large enough to blot out the sun. Its sharp eyes were fixed on a single point as it dove down like a bolt of blue-black lightning, targeting two red-eyed hyenas.

"Strange, why are there violent beasts here?"

Running behind Cedric, Liang He frowned deeply as she stared at the battle unfolding before her.

The eagle and the tiger each locked onto a hyena, working in coordination, determined not to let their enemies leave alive.

Her question was also one that the colleagues in the central control room wanted to know.

"It's Commander Langdon! No wonder he detected the presence of the violent beasts immediately!"

"The Commander and the Marshal are old partners, but they don't remember each other at all now. I wonder if they can pull this off?"

"A violent beast appeared just yesterday, and now two more have arrived. They are clearly targeting them. We need to strengthen our management."

Hoan, who had been savoring a delicious meal, took a large stride and stood directly in front of the monitoring screen, issuing orders with a grim expression.

"Send the guard force to provide support immediately."

The reserve had a guard force. Under normal circumstances, they would not interfere with the animals' lives; their primary role was to protect the beastmen who had transformed into predators.

Having received the notification that the guard force would be coming to the rescue, Liang He remained where she was, focusing solely on the status of Cedric and the Azure Blue Falcon.

This was Liang He's first time witnessing a battle between a predator and a violent beast.

As the King of the Jungle, the combat power of the Ink-Gold King Tiger was clearly formidable. With both its mouth and claws in action, it sent the hyena howling in pain.

The Azure Blue Falcon was no less impressive. Its sharp beak would snatch away chunks of flesh whenever the enemy was caught off guard. Unfortunately, the violent beast felt no pain; otherwise, it would surely have been shrieking from the pecking.

"It's a good thing Liang He treated Cedric's wounds yesterday and that he's well-fed today, otherwise I'd really worry about him running out of stamina."

Upon learning that more violent beasts had appeared, the veterinarian Xu Yi also rushed over, immediately spotting the petite figure in the bottom left corner of the monitoring screen.

"Why is Liang He still standing there? Doesn't she know to run when she encounters danger?"

Hearing Xu Yi's concerned voice, Hoan finally noticed that Liang He had not left the combat zone at all. He immediately grabbed his communicator to call her.

With her attention entirely focused on the Ink-Gold King Tiger and the others, Liang He didn't hear Hoan's command at all.

After seeing a third hyena appear from out of nowhere, she pulled out her weapon without hesitation—a slingshot.

"How dare you bully my big kitty! Take this!"

With a *whoosh*, the slingshot launched a projectile toward the hyena. With a *pfft* sound, the hyena wobbled, its limbs grew unsteady, and it actually collapsed right there.

"What's going on? What is that thing Liang He is holding? She actually took down a hyena in one shot?!"

The people in the control room were seeing a slingshot for the first time. They never expected that such a small slingshot could actually bring down a violent beast!

In truth, the secret lay primarily in the projectiles.

"Good thing I was quick-witted, otherwise the big kitty and the others would have been hurt again."

Ever since learning about the existence of violent beasts, Liang He had specifically prepared a slingshot as a portable weapon. She had also personally formulated the projectiles, which were primarily designed for anesthesia.

The moment the projectile hit the hyena, it exploded, instantly enveloping the creature in a massive dose of anesthetic. Forget one hyena—even an elephant might not have been able to withstand it.

With the first one dealt with, the battle returned to its original state. However, seeing that Cedric had lost quite a bit of fur from being bitten, Liang He couldn't help but feel a pang of heartache.

*Bang! Bang! Bang!*

Just as Liang He was debating whether to intervene again, the guard force arrived. Simultaneously, the tiger and the eagle suddenly exerted their strength, directly taking down the other two hyenas.

Having neutralized the combat alert, Cedric and Langdon returned to their previous states, repelling any human approach.

"Cedric!"

"Awoo? Awoo!"

Startled by Liang He's voice, Cedric didn't react immediately. It wasn't until he saw her figure that he began to "awoo" and trot happily to her side, starting to act pitiful.

"Wuuu..."

"Alright, alright, you're the bravest! Once we get back, I'll make you something delicious!"

Looking at the Ink-Gold King Tiger's mangled fur, Liang He affectionately stroked his large head and took out a tissue to wipe the hyena blood from his mouth.

"Skree?"

The Azure Blue Falcon, which had been prepared to fly back into the sky, was left speechless by the tiger's behavior. Did this guy have no shame? Acting all spoiled in front of a weak human!

"Oh? Little Falcon, you're still here?"

Her attention drawn by the falcon's internal frantic吐槽 (complaining) despite its calm exterior, Liang He's eyes lit up when she saw Langdon preening his feathers with his beak. She jogged over to his side.

"Don't go! Be careful, Langdon might peck you!"

"Huh? Why would he peck me?"

Being kindly warned by the guard force, Liang He's small hand had already lightly covered Langdon's blue-black feathers as she looked at them with an innocent expression.

Caught off guard by the "head tilt" from the Blue Star girl, the guard force stood there holding the hyenas, feeling somewhat at a loss.

*Ahhh! No one told them the new Blue Star keeper was this cute!*

"As expected, even Lord Langdon has fallen?"

Compared to the guard force, who were being hit by the impact of her beauty, the people in the control room were much more composed. Their worldview was stabilizing as they watched.

Suddenly being stroked, Langdon's massive avian body trembled slightly. His two talons instinctively moved outward, only to silently move back again.

"Lord Langdon lowered his head on his own because he saw Liang He was too short to reach his head!"

"Good heavens, am I really seeing a novel-style plot where a superior being voluntarily lowers himself?"

"Friend, shipping everything will only lead to your downfall."

Completely unaware that she and Langdon were being shipped as a couple, Liang He looked up at the Azure Blue Falcon, which was even taller than her, and grinned so wide her mouth nearly split.

It was her first time seeing such a large falcon. She wondered what it would feel like to sit on him and fly into the sky.

Unaware that Liang He was fantasizing about riding their battlefield's top commander, Lord Langdon, into the sky, the guard force members departed once they had cleaned up the battlefield.

Mainly, they were afraid that if they didn't leave, a jealous Cedric would turn his fury toward them.

"Awoo!"

Cedric opened his mouth wide, but only lightly nipped at the hem of Liang He's trousers, pulling her toward himself. It was obvious he did not want her having too much contact with the Azure Blue Falcon.

"Oh dear, oh dear, Cedric, don't be so petty. I'm just petting Langdon."

Seeing Liang He being pulled away, Langdon also became unwilling. His beak clamped onto the back of Liang He's collar, and the two beasts began to argue.

"Ah! My hair! Langdon, be gentle, you're biting my hair!"

Hearing Liang He's cry, a hint of confusion flashed in Langdon's sharp eyes. He belatedly released his grip, finally sparing Liang He's beautiful hair.

"Good grief, I almost went bald."

She certainly didn't want to be a fellow type of falcon—a vulture.

*Almost got plucked bald, that was close, haha.*
