Groups of wizard apprentices, clad in hooded robes, emerged from the teleportation array, appearing exceptionally eerie under the dense shadows.

Lynn looked down at his own robe. Despite being in an unfamiliar environment, the tension in his heart would not dissipate.

Before the teleportation, Lynn and the other wizard apprentices had already been informed of the nature of this mission.

At this moment, they were standing in a vast forest known as the Emerald Island Great Forest.

If viewed from above, one would see patches of lush greenery tightly connected, completely covering the earth like a floating green island, forming a sharp contrast with the surrounding land.

It was for this reason that the forest was named the "Emerald Island Great Forest."

The Cult of Devotion and the Nightshade Bunker had joined forces to resist the Forge's aggression, successfully trapping the Forge's army within this dense forest.

Lynn and the other wizard apprentices had been dispatched into this forest to support the Forge's military operations.

Of course, in addition to these apprentices, there were also several formal wizards accompanying them.

"The target is too large. Disperse and regroup with the main army."

A formal wizard in attendance made the decision, directing the dispersal.

Everyone carried specialized sensing tools provided by the Forge; even without a leader, they could still accurately sense the position of the Forge's main army.

As for Lynn, he was naturally grouped with Colin. They stood in a corner, cloaked in their robes with their hoods up.

If they didn't speak, they had almost no presence.

"Fortunately, you are already a Level 2 wizard apprentice and can at least cast a spell. Otherwise, this would have been true hell-level difficulty for you," Colin remarked, his voice tinged with a hint of sympathy.

Lynn nodded helplessly, feeling equally frustrated.

He had thought he could cultivate quietly in the Magic Potion Garden, staying low until he reached Level 3 or even became a formal wizard before re-emerging.

Who could have known that the Black Dragon Witch would directly order apprentices like them to participate in forced combat?

"By the way, what type is your Ifgrid?"

Colin knew well that since they were both Nature Wizard apprentices, discussing specific spell manipulations was pointless, so he went straight to asking about the type of Lynn's Life Seed.

He only knew the name of Lynn's Life Seed but was unaware of its specific functions and effects.

"It leans towards the defensive type," Lynn answered briefly, continuing his low-voiced discussion with Colin.

Just then, a gentle female voice drifted over

"Would you two mind if I joined you?"

Neither Lynn nor Colin needed to look up to know that the speaker was Sonia.

Her helpless tone and the pretty face peeking from beneath her hood carried a hint of unmistakable frustration.

After the army of apprentices dispersed, they mostly formed small squads of two or three familiar people.

Sonia had found it quite pathetic that none of the people she could call friends were wizard students; they were all still working in the Magic Potion Garden.

For a moment, Sonia could not find any suitable teammates, leaving her in an awkward position.

Acting alone was inappropriate; a squad of two or three could take turns keeping watch and looking out for one another.

If she were alone, she couldn't even guarantee rest, and who knew how long it would take to find the main force and regroup with others?

But it was impossible for her to just pick anyone to team up with; she could not comfortably entrust her back to a stranger.

Therefore, after much thought, Sonia set her sights on Lynn and Colin.

These two were somewhat familiar to her and were viable options. Moreover, both were students of Rosalind, and their combined combat strength likely wouldn't even match her own.

Even if she had misjudged them, even if the two of them wanted to do something to her, they wouldn't be able to beat her.

"Oh? Aren't you afraid the two of us will become a burden to you?"

Seeing Sonia's pretty face, Colin asked with a smile.

"If we can't win, can't we at least run? Colin, you're the best at running. As for Lynn..."

Sonia paused, her gaze falling on Lynn. Clearly, she did not understand Lynn's true strength and assumed he was only a Level 1 apprentice.

"I just broke through to Level 2 apprentice not long ago. I have some ability to protect myself..." Lynn responded calmly.

"A Level 2 apprentice! That's great! Even if we can't win, I can still lead you away."

Hearing this news, a flash of joy crossed Sonia's eyes. Becoming a Level 2 apprentice meant one could draw upon energy factors, which was a massive improvement; she was no longer a completely useless underdog.

Lynn and Colin exchanged a glance and finally agreed to Sonia's joining.

After all, they had the limitations of their Life Seeds, whereas Sonia did not. If she joined the team, she could effectively increase their combat strength.

In any given situation, Sonia could handle things directly, providing them with a reliable fighter.
